The next morning. After finishing off breakfast, I headed to the Room of the Great Phantasmal Soulstone ¹ to knock out my morning routine. I swiped the air, expanding the holographic operation window.
”Whoa… I’m already able to level up again?” I muttered to myself.
”Hehe! That’s the payoff for expanding the farm area!” Ami-chan chimed in, her voice full of pep. “Let’s go for it! Level up right now!”
Seriously, lately the pace of my leveling has been insane. Once I hit a certain ceiling, I’d like to pivot back to expanding the farm again, but for now…
Whatever. Let’s see what a level-up gets me.

As long as it was within my territory, I could place a “Temple” anywhere and teleport the Great Phantasmal Soulstone directly to it.
”So… does that mean I get two Soulstone Rooms?” I asked.
”Basically! But there’s a catch-it’s strictly a ‘sub-room,’” she explained.
”A sub-room?” I prompted.
I could only teleport the Great Phantasmal Soulstone to an installed temple once per day. Furthermore, once 24 hours passed after the teleportation, the stone would automatically snap back to its original location.
I’d have to wait another full day before I could send it back to a temple. On the flip side, I could manually return the stone from the temple to the main room whenever I wanted, even before the 24-hour timer was up.
”I get it… If the Great Phantasmal Soulstone is shattered, it’s game over for me. Having a fallback location for emergencies is huge if we ever get invaded,” I said.
”Right? And hey, you could probably keep it completely hidden for those 24 hours, couldn’t you?” Ami-chan suggested.
She had a point. For instance, if I hollowed out a massive underground vault with no entrance or exit and dropped a temple there… nobody would find it easily.
The real hurdles were the location restrictions and, as expected, the Resource Point cost.
”Ugh… I figured as much. This costs a ton of Resource Points,” I groaned.
”Well, yeah. It’s a high-tier skill, after all!” she said.
I’d have to sit down and really think about where to put it later. Plus, once the temple was up, I’d need a defensive perimeter for it. It might be a temporary refuge, but it’s useless if it’s left wide open.
While I worked through my tasks, I took a little peek into the basement holding the female knights to rack up some Ego Points. The headcount was down a bit, since about ten of them had already graduated to become maid candidates.
Next, I did a quick check on Kanade-chan’s room. She was sitting up on the bed, being pampered and hand-fed by one of the maids.
”Kanade-chan… she’s really bounced back,” I noted.
”She’s finally at the point where she can manage to hobble around a bit,” Ami-chan replied.
That was the healing power of the Lace Agate ⁵ for you.
I’d already had Ami-chan start giving her a crash course on “What is Existence Power? ⁶” We were currently looking for a way to see if we could heal Kanade-chan’s depleted Existence Power as well.
”By the way, her Affection Level is at 2 now,” Ami-chan said.
”Whoa… it went into the black when I wasn’t looking! From a negative to a positive!” I exclaimed.
”Well, duh. She’s in a strange land getting her wounds treated, getting hot baths, and eating good meals,” Ami-chan added.
Apparently, the fact that I’d made it clear I had no intention of messing with Japan was a big factor, too.
Her reason to fight was gone. And for Kanade-chan, this current situation-where she was just being given everything-probably left her feeling a certain sense of… guilt. A debt that needed paying.

Speaking of walking, Kanade-chan was currently using the bath. Naturally, I took a peek at the bath situation from my monitor. To my surprise… she’d actually groomed herself down there. Completely smooth.
Cleonora and the others are the grooming type, so the bathroom is fully stocked with shaving stations and tools. To see Kanade-chan utilizing them… I guess the rumors about modern girls all being groomed were true after all.

”Ami-chan. We’ve got company,” I said, my tone shifting instantly.
”Eh! Where at?” she asked.
”Is that… wait, in the sky!?” I exclaimed.
I flicked the window, projecting the feed like a monitor. There was a massive bird soaring through the clouds, a woman perched on its back. Below the bird, clutched in its talons, was a metal carriage-and there was another woman inside it.
”This is…!” I started.
”Oh my. Well, that brings back memories,” Ami-chan said quietly.
No doubt about it. That’s exactly how I was hauled over here back in the day!

”Wait… are they both beastmen ⁷!?” I asked.
First time seeing them in the flesh! Actual animal ears sprouting from their heads!
And they’ve got tails! Not to mention, they’re both total knockouts!
”Hey, Shou. Do you think they’re headed here?” Ami-chan asked.
”Huh!?” I replied.
”I mean, look. They’re both wearing really fancy clothes. And check out that huge flag. They’re probably envoys sent from the Empire,” she suggested.
”……!?”
Envoys!? Now that she mentioned it, it made sense. They weren’t armed, and their outfits looked like something a high-ranking noble would wear.
Plus, I could see flags and crests all over the place. That crest was likely the official seal of the Empire.
Checking their coordinates, they were heading straight for us. At this rate, they’d be within visual range in a few minutes.
”W-what do we do!?” I asked.
”Well, if we just leave them be, Vectra or Eunos will probably just shoot them out of the sky. Let’s ping everyone and tell them to stand by. We’ll see how the guests want to play this,” Ami-chan advised.
”R-right… got it!” I replied.
Following Ami-chan’s lead, I sent out a mass communication to the team, telling them that potential Imperial envoys were approaching. I made sure to emphasize: Do not shoot them down.
”Also… Grantula is a given, but we should probably keep anyone who clearly isn’t human-like Eunos-out of sight for now,” Ami-chan said.
”Right. Don’t give them any intel we don’t want them taking back home. I’m on it,” I agreed.
Better keep the flying Magical Girls under wraps, too. And definitely the containment facility in the basement.
Just to be safe, I’ll have Ghibli-san vanish as well. Figaro is… currently scouting the eastern territory, so he should be fine.
I also considered that Cleonora and Liliarette might have their faces on a “Wanted” list somewhere, so I had them transform.
Since those two would be the ones handling the first contact, I was told to sit tight in the mansion. I decided to play the part of the obedient master and stay put.

Despite her playful appearance, she is actively searching for a contractor who can protect her from dangerous pursuers in exchange for the powers she offers.

• Eunos – Height 164cm, Bust Size C. A Unique Individual Maid summoned by Shou. She has long silver hair of a darker, steel-like shade and a pair of white wings on her back. She wears a modest long-skirted outfit resembling a nun’s habit. Her class is Magic Flash Gunner (El-Gunner).
• Grantula – A Unique Individual in the form of a giant mechanical spider. It has metallic parts and serves as the guardian of the Dominion’s periphery.
• Figaro – A non-physical Unique Individual. Appears as a flickering black flame or humanoid haze. Can occupy a suit of armor.
• Ghibli – The 4th Unique Individual. A cat-like beast-eared maid with short yellowish-blonde hair. Height: 159cm. Bust: B-cup. Fighter class.
• Liliarette – The other Princess, who sacrificed her ability to walk and her sorcery talent to save her sister, Cleonora. She is imprisoned in the East Tower and is being used as a political and monetary pawn by Viorga. C-cup, true golden hair, waist-length hair, the fringe was a slightly blunt, hair on her left side was braided to the chest.
