Chapter 31 Domain Master Level-Up꞉ Ami-chan’s Ed and The World Vault

The morning after spending a passionate night with Cleonora, I woke up to find she was already awake. When I opened my eyes, I met the gaze of Cleonora, who was sleeping right next to me.
”Fufu… Good morning, Shouichi,” she murmured, her voice warm and affectionate.
”Ah… yeah. Good morning, Cleonora,” I replied.
It seemed she had reverted from her ‘Eme-chan’ form. Waking up to a golden-haired, stunning princess lying naked beside me? It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say I was already winning at life. I felt that growing sense of entitlement wash over me.
”Wait… did you actually wait for me to wake up this whole time?” I questioned.
”It’s not that I was waiting, exactly. I was simply watching Shouichi’s sleeping face,” she corrected me, her blue eyes shining with devotion.
”Seriously? Doesn’t that get boring?” I asked, feeling my cheeks heat up a little.
”Not at all,” Cleonora insisted, shaking her head. “It’s the sleeping face of my beloved Shouichi; I could watch it forever and never get tired.”
Being told something so directly like that made me feel kind of embarrassed. At the same time, it was a sharp reminder that Cleonora was indeed my 〈Slave of Love〉.
I gently stroked her hair, leaning in to give her a light kiss. I had to be careful with any deeper, more lingering kisses; doing that first thing in the morning would only relax Cleonora a little too much and start her desire, and that would definitely derail the day. A man’s got to manage these things.
We both got dressed and finished up breakfast. Just a little while ago, I was perfectly satisfied with only meat and fruit, but now, it felt insufficient. The limited seasoning was a problem, too. And my desires for women? Same thing. While Cleonora’s total affection is wonderful, I now crave the love and favor of many more women. It’s crazy how much I’ve changed in just a month since coming to this other world.
Feeling that lingering sense of dissatisfaction, I moved with Ami-chan to the Great Phantasmal Soulstone chamber for my daily routine.
”Shou! We need to talk about leveling up those sex skills of yours pretty soon, yeah?” Ami-chan chirped, her voice too bright for the topic.
”What are you suddenly talking about?!” I stammered, caught completely off guard.
”I know it’s a high hurdle for you, since you only recently lost your virginity, but come on. The foreplay is just kissing and maybe a little touch of there and there. The positions are only missionary and rear-entry, mostly the ‘sleeping-on-the-side’ rear-entry at that. You haven’t even used the cowgirl position since that first time, have you?” she demanded.

”B-But… I thought you, Ami-chan, said you liked it when the woman was being taken from behind?” I weakly defended myself.

Or that one where you’re both slightly bent over? And even with standing, you can have her lean against the wall, put her hands on a desk, or put her hands on the floor! Oh, and there’s the one where she doesn’t use her hands at all! And don’t forget the one where you sit on a chair and make her put her hands and feet on the floor, and she moves her hips, you know? Or even lifting one of her legs during standing rear-entry! Seriously, there are tons of variations!” Ami-chan declared, her voice ringing with the possibilities of rear-entry.
Ami-chan was lecturing me about the possibilities of rear-entry like never before! And wait, there were that many variations of that position?
When I thought about it, I had seen some of those moves in videos and images. But with Cleonora, I just got so focused on making sure I brought her pleasure in the rear-entry position that I completely lost track of any variation. It probably helped that I was so excited by the whole new experience that I didn’t have any mental capacity left for creativity.
Basically, from Ami-chan’s perspective, my lovemaking was too repetitive and boring.
”If your activities are always the same, you’ll get stuck in a rut, and Cleonora might get bored of lovemaking with you, you know?” she warned.
”Wha—!? That is the last thing I want!” I exclaimed, dread creeping in.
”Right? You need to practice your hip-work and try different positions. Use the Aions for practice, why don’t you?” she suggested.
It was undeniable that I lacked experience. Cleonora was my only real-world experience, and practicing hip-work in various positions with her could only happen at night, and frankly, that time should be the main event—the time to unleash the results of practice. Using her for the actual practice felt a little wrong.
No, for daytime practice, the Maid Golems would have to cooperate. I imagined myself thrusting my hips against a silent, inanimate maid. Ugh, it felt pretty pathetic. But until I actually tried it, I didn’t realize how much practice a man needs just to get the hip movements right.
”Well, you’re right… I really don’t want Cleonora to get bored of me. And since I don’t have to worry about my lifespan anymore, maybe I should put in some practice while Cleonora is out hunting demon monsters…”
”That’s the spirit! Now, let’s get this day started and do our best!” Ami-chan cheered.
I raised both my arms and opened the system window. The screen confirmed that my Resource Points had significantly increased compared to five days ago.
”The points have gone up…” I mused.
”Of course they have! The Aions have been working hard these last five days, haven’t they? Now that you have three of them working, the efficiency is way up,” Ami-chan pointed out.
Although the maintenance cost had tripled with the increase in Maid Golems, the point income must have increased even more. Those maids had been diligently bringing materials back to the Great Phantasmal Soulstone chamber for the last five days. I truly owed them my gratitude.
”Oh… I can upgrade my Quester Level now…”
”Finally, Level 3! Considering the place you set up your base, getting this far in a month is pretty good, I’d say!” Ami-chan approved.
It would use up a large chunk of my current Resource Points, but considering it would unlock more items I could create, it was probably best to level up.
”But even if I expand the domain, Cleonora is my only fighter… will our defense be okay?” I worried aloud.
”It’ll be fine for now, won’t it? The only thing you really need to protect right now is the staircase leading to the Great Phantasmal Soulstone chamber. Even if the house gets destroyed, you can rebuild it instantly, right?” she countered.
She had a point. No matter how much I expand the domain, the only place I absolutely must defend is this core area. That’s the luxury of it being just us living here.
”Alright, I’m leveling up then.”
”Yes!”
I manipulated the window and raised the Quester Level to three. A map then expanded, showing me how much my Dominion had grown.
”Whoa… The lake where I first met Cleonora is now inside the domain!”
”It’s grown quite a bit! But from now on, the Resource Points needed to level up will get even higher. We’ll need to think about how to make our point-earning even more efficient!” Ami-chan cautioned me.
”You’re right. First, let’s check my stats…”
I brought up my status display to see if I had gained any new skills, and sure enough, there were changes.

”Let me see… hmm, I see! These are two seriously good-luck skills, Shou!” Ami-chan exclaimed, spinning around excitedly. Unlike when she explained 〈Color Change〉, she seemed genuinely thrilled. I wondered if she ever got dizzy.
”First is 〈Vault 1〉! This refers to a warehouse in a separate dimension!” she explained.
”A warehouse in a separate dimension…?” I repeated.
”Exactly! And the only one who can interact with it is you, the Quester. Shou, make a ring with your thumb and forefinger.”
I didn’t quite get the point, but I did as I was told, forming a circle with the thumb and index finger of my left hand. I felt a little like a small kid pretending to wear glasses.
”If you activate the skill and put an object inside that ring, it will be stored in the Vault!” Ami-chan declared.
”What? This ring is the entrance to the Vault…?”
”That’s right! And anything you store in the Vault can be retrieved whether you’re in the current world or back in Japan!”
”…!”
”Yep! This means you can transport materials from Japan to the other world!” she finished triumphantly.
Unbelievable! To think I could bring materials back this way…
”However, the size is limited to whatever can fit inside that ring. Also, you can only store things in the Vault while you’re inside your territory, both here and in Japan.”
”Inside my territory? What do you mean?” I asked for clarification.
”It means exactly what it sounds like. On this side, you can only store things that are already within your Dominion. In Japan, that would probably be your room.”
She added that living creatures couldn’t be stored, but anything that was already stored could be retrieved even outside the territory.
”But if you retrieve an item outside the domain, it costs a fair amount of Resource Points,” she warned me.
”So the Dominator〈Quester〉 can only use his power fully within his own territory, huh…?” I surmised.
Essentially, anything small enough to fit in that little circle could be stored in a shared Vault across the boundary of the worlds. This was the key to moving things between worlds.
But no living things, and storage was limited to my specific area. That meant I couldn’t just walk into a store, see things I liked, and start sucking them into my Vault. And retrieving things outside the Dominion costs Resource Points, so I’d have to be careful about location.
”That’s great… now I can bring things like plant seeds and spoons back with me,” I breathed a sigh of relief.
”And you can bring in seasoning, too! Just put it in a bag first!” Ami-chan suggested.
”…! You’re right!” I realized.
Right, by transferring or folding containers, I could store certain items in the Vault. Wait, could I store things like seasonings directly without having to transfer the container? That would be useful.
”There are a lot of ways we can use this. And since it’s 〈Vault 1〉…”
”It’s probably a level. There’s a chance you’ll be able to store bigger things in the future,” Ami-chan hypothesized.
I already wanted to experiment with a bunch of things, like what would happen if I stored a large amount of water.
”And what about the other one… 〈Land of Blessing〉?” I asked.
”This one allows you to bestow a blessing upon a designated area in your Dominion! If you sow seeds in a blessed land, the growth rate of the plants increases!”
”Oh, that’s amazing! So I can grow seeds I bring from Japan really fast…!”
”Exactly! But it consumes a non-trivial amount of Resource Points. You might want to try it on a small area first,” she advised.
Not only did I get two new skills at once, but both of them had incredibly practical uses! I should definitely start thinking about bringing back some seeds from Japan and maybe building a small field somewhere.

The conversation with Ami-chan serves to emphasize Shouichi’s inexperience and push the harem/skill progression subplot.

• Cleonora – The second princess. Have a yellow blonde hair. Usually styled as hairbun.
• Ami – A palm-sized fairy-like being from a world separate from both Earth and the isekai realm. She has light blue hair tied in a ponytail, mischievous blue eyes, and tiny wings that flutter behind her. Her outfit consists of a provocative high-cut leotard and a short jacket that looks like a miniskirt from the back, leaving her legs bare. Despite her playful appearance, she is actively searching for a contractor who can protect her from dangerous pursuers in exchange for the powers she offers.
• Aion – The maid golem. She has chestnut-brown hair and and a well-featured, but utterly expressionless, face. Looks like Karakuri from certain series.
• Yuri – A female classmate, now a mother of two. Represents the ‘successful’ domestic life.
