Apparently Ruuna-senpai is completely asleep.
”Ruuna-senpai, don’t blow away the futon.”
I try to cover Ruuna-senpai’s body with the futon.
Then, Ruuna-senpai grabbed my arm.
”I got a body pillow…”
”Ruuna-senpai, this is not a body pillow.”
Ugh, I try to untangle my arms, but it’s got incredible strength.

Around Mikoto-chan’s bed were icicles in buckets, surrounding her.

I moved away from Mikoto-chan and headed to the next room where Haa-chan was resting.

I let Haa-chan, who was nodding off, lie down and headed to the room where the last patient was waiting.

I start cutting the apple with the fruit knife I brought.
”Only if it’s bunny-shaped.”
”Alright, alright. I got it.”
As usual, I cut the apple into bunny shapes and place them on a plate.
”Feed me.”
”Fine, fine. Here, say ‘ahh.’”
I feed the apple to Kohina-senpai.
”Munch, munch… gulp. This apple… it’s sweet but hard. My throat hurts, so grate it.”
”Alright, alright. You’re so demanding.”
Good thing I even brought a grater! I’m amazing!!
I grate the apple, then scoop it with a spoon and say, “Ahh.”
”It’s cold and tasty… mmm.”
”Alright, here’s another one, say ‘ahh.’”
I wish she was this honest all the time.
Thinking that, I continue feeding Kohina-senpai… I mean, helping her eat.
”Help me change clothes.”
”Alright, alright. Let’s see, the spare pajamas and underwear should be here.”
I take out the change of clothes from the closet.
Wait, Kohina-senpai, why are you raising both hands like that?
”Take them off.”

I take off Kohina-senpai’s pajamas.
Well, since we’re at it, let’s wipe her body too.
I wring out a cold towel and start wiping her body.

It’s impressive how she has curves but no extra fat. After cleaning her body, I take off her underwear.
”You should at least put on your own underwear.”

Oh, seeing Kohina-senpai sneeze, I quickly put her underwear and clothes on.
That was close.
I’m taking care of her, so I can’t make her cold worse.
”There, all done. Kohina-senpai, is there anything else you need?”
”…Sleep with me. And sing a lullaby, too.”

Well, considering the current situation and how she always takes care of me, I can’t complain.
I lie down with Kohina-senpai and slowly sing a lullaby.

The lullaby was written and composed by Takao Murashita, who Kohina-senpai loves.
I hoped this song, tied to a big ice cream company’s commercial, would help cool her fever a bit.

Kohina-senpai tightly grasped my clothes with both hands and buried her small head in my chest.
Haha, Ayana did the same thing earlier, but I thought it was funny how similar they are in this way.
”On the way home at dusk, you were smiling. I watched your back from a distance, my heart consumed by growing feelings.”
I gently stroked Kohina-senpai’s head.
I thought the same when I saw her n*ked earlier; she’s really trying hard with such a small body.
”It’s the beautiful season of thawing snow. I’m walking home alone, just like any other day. I wonder when these buds will sprout.”
I’m a guy, and on top of that, my height and build are top-tier among the actors.
Yet, Kohina-senpai, without even caring about her disadvantages, managed to beat both Mommy Mikuni and Reira-san.
”My captive heart is fiercely shaken. My emotions are toyed with by my first love. My wavering feelings are as fragile as glasswork.”
Where does such power come from in that small body?
I gently touch Kohina-senpai’s shoulder.
”Just the sway of your hair disturbs the depths of my heart. Every time I open the dictionary, the word ‘love’ catches my eye. My burning feelings slowly consume my heart.”
I stare intently at Kohina-senpai’s face as she closes her eyes.
I want to surpass her.
That’s what I thought.
”In the evening crowd, I thought our eyes met. But I was too embarrassed and looked away. My piled-up feelings of love still haven’t melted.”
I can hear Kohina-senpai’s soft breathing.
I untangle her fingers and quietly slip out of bed.
”Kohina-senpai…”
I gently stroke the forehead peeking out from Kohina-senpai’s overcut bangs.
When she makes her debut in the States, Kohina-senpai, with her short stature and baby face, will probably struggle.
No matter how high her acting skills are, her features are too out of place in that country.
So this time, I’ll lead her.
I’ll take her to the highest peak in the world.
”Nyama, you’re doing great, nya… baka, akuponyan… munya munya.”
For a moment, I thought she was awake and peered at Kohina-senpai’s face.
”Really… even in your sleep, don’t read my mind, okay?”
Haha, that’s right.
I smile wryly as I look at Kohina-senpai sleeping peacefully.
No matter how bad the situation, she’s the type to claw her way up on her own.
Really, let me have a little chance to look cool.
”Kohina-senpai, please get better soon.”
A meek Kohina-senpai isn’t bad, but the one I love is the usual Kohina-senpai.
I cover Kohina-senpai’s body with the futon again and quietly leave the room without making a sound.
Then I heard a loud voice coming from the opposite hospital room.
”Yes! Let’s go! Let’s go!”
”Inko-san! Please stop going crazy about horse racing in the hospital room!!”
I went to the reception and told them that it was okay for Inko-san to be discharged from the hospital.
