Thursday, August 31, today is the start of the 24-hour TV broadcast.
We arrived at the venue at 7 AM, finished thorough checks, and took proper breaks and meals in between.
Before 6 PM, we, the members of BERYL, gathered backstage again and formed a circle with all the staff supporting today’s broadcast.
”Today is the broadcast day of the 24-hour TV that we’ve all been preparing for a long time. I want to take this moment to express my gratitude to all the broadcasting stations and everyone involved who helped us get here. But, we haven’t accomplished anything yet.”
Everyone listens to Ako-san’s words as she speaks on behalf of us.
”For the next 24 hours and a bit, it’s going to be tough, but let’s all work together! And be careful of injuries, don’t overdo it!! This is a must!!”

Everyone nods at Ako-san’s words.
”Alright, let’s hear a word from everyone in BERYL. Who should go first?”
The 4 of us look at each other, and the eldest, Tenga-senpai, opens his mouth first.
”I have been looking forward to this day for a long time.”
”Yeah, yeah, Tenga-senpai, you stayed up late last night and got told by President Atori in the comments to go to bed early, right?”

The sudden appearance of Ako-san in the comments got the viewers excited, saying things like “Here comes the serious lecture!” “Oh no, Tenga-senpai is here!” “The top official from the official account says #Tenga-senpai go to bed early, that’s hilarious!”

Up until now, BERYL has basically been a group that does what I want to do.
But lately, other members have also started saying, “I want to do this.”
They’ve been bringing up things they want to try.
Among them, Tenga-senpai has been really making an effort to lead BERYL so that I don’t feel too burdened.
I think that will create a good synergy for the group.

Everyone laughs at Toa’s absurdly simple shout.
That’s Toa’s strong point──being good at balancing things by looking around.
It’s something that can only be said because Toa isn’t too tense.
Tenga-senpai seems surprisingly okay, but Toa and Shintaro have days where they get too into it, although it seems fine today.
When thinking about the long haul of over 24 hours, if we get too absorbed from the start, we definitely won’t make it.
So, I thought everyone should start off relaxed.

I take a look around at everyone’s faces.
”Honestly, since everyone has said what I wanted to convey, I just have one thing from me. Let’s make sure to see it through to the end!! Let’s goooooo!!”

After finishing our circle, we high-5 and encourage each other to get pumped.
30 minutes until the show starts.
We need to get to the starting position.
”Alright then, everyone, see you in 30 minutes!”

I part ways with everyone and take my position with the staff-san.
After confirming the direction and script, I check the actual broadcast on the monitor.
”It has begun, hasn’t it?”
The new national stadium appears on the monitor.
A grand and elegant orchestra announces the start of the program.
This is a performance by the national broadcaster symphony under the direction of Renilla Barnes-san, who helped with the AQUARIUM audition program.
The extravagant arrangement of our song by MojaP, the music director of Beryl Entertainment, combined with performances by talents from Beryl and kids from the new training center.
I could hear the loud cheers from the audience watching this.
After finishing the dance that used a wide area of the ground, the dancing kids spread left and right to open up space.
The spotlight illuminating the venue goes down, and Tenga-senpai waiting on the rooftop is shown on the big screen monitor.

”Wait a minute, Tenga-senpai, where are you!?”
”Huh? Huh? Aren’t you riding a motorcycle!?”
Tenga-senpai revs the motorcycle, sending a pleasant engine sound through the national stadium.
In the next moment, Tenga-senpai on the motorcycle jumps off the rooftop towards the ground.
”Ugyyyaaaaaa!”
”Wait, is this okay!?”
”Tenga-senpai──────!”
”No way!?”
This motorcycle is custom-made.
Halfway, the wheels split left and right, transforming the bike into a hovering state in mid-air.
It’s said to be a motorcycle uniquely developed by a prestigious bike manufacturer of the Stars.
Ugh, the red and black body is just too cool!
The little Tenga-senpai inside me stirs.
Tenga-senpai, having safely landed on the ground, takes off the helmet and looks around curiously.
”Ah, huh? Where is everyone…?”

Shintaro ran down the stairs between the audience seats and jumped towards the ground where Tenga-senpai was waiting from the third floor.

”The act is too flashy!!”
Shintaro, who danced in the air with wire action, landed while spinning as he came down to the ground.

I’m glad I succeeded just like in practice!!
I made a fist pump where no one could see.
”Sorry for making you wait, Tenga-senpai.”
”Oh! For a moment, I panicked thinking I had miscalculated the time!”

The spotlight moved in the direction Shintaro pointed.

Subaru-tan, who was listening from behind, patted Lapis’s shoulder.

No, it’s only me, Kohina-senpai, who can really tell apart the switched Toa and Subaru-tan, so the Milk Dipper members shouldn’t worry about it.

The 3 of them gathered on stage.
I told the staff I was going and entered the box.
Phew, I focused my mind and concentrated on the final performance.

”The performance has started again!?”
”What’s going on!?”
As the orchestra began to play again, the interrupted performance continued.
With AR, fireworks, flashy dance, and action displays, the box I entered rose to the center of the stage.
”Something like a box came out!?”
”What is this!?”
”Hey, Aqua. Are you there!?”
I pretended to turn the door handle attached inside the box.
”Huh?”
