As I stood up to head to the development meeting, Yukari, who had been eating, decided to follow me.
No, it wasn’t just following──I mean, she was trying to get into the room ahead of me.
It’s easy to forget sometimes, but Yukari isn’t actually with Beryl; she’s with Beyond Production.
I briefly wondered if it was okay to let Yukari into the development meeting, but then I thought, it’s not a big deal now.
Besides, external opinions are really important.
Following Yukari into the department, I announced that she would be joining us today as an advisor.
”Before we start the meeting, there’s one thing to mention. Uh, due to the upcoming due date, Shirogane Kanon will not be attending today’s meeting. Also, we received notice that Kirika Kotono is currently on maternity leave for Kanon-san’s delivery and will be absent as well. With the introduction from the product development department staff, 2 familiar faces in suits and glasses stood up straight.

”I’m Yukishiro Emily, a pro part-timer for Beryl Entertainment and Ramen Takeko. Today, I’m filling in for Kanon and I’ve got several product ideas. Leave this winter’s Chris-Mas war to me!!”

The chocolate and biscuit have the same texture──it’s nice and crunchy.
The portion is just right, and after one, I find myself wanting another.
This could become addictive.
”Hmm, this is really good.”
”Yum! Emily, can I have another?”
Yukari and Kaede are also happily munching on the white chocolate biscuits.
From their reactions, it seems like the other staff members are enjoying them too.
Emily continues to explain the product’s price range, profit per piece, and expected sales numbers.

”Leave it to me. We’ve already decided on that!!”
With a confident look, Emily points the pointer at the monitor.

Ah, I think that’s nice.
The “white” part reminds me of Aqua-kun’s last name, Shirogane, and combined with the Hokkaido packaging, it perfectly evokes images of snow and winter.
While “son” might appeal to older people, it might be better to use words like “friend” or “lover” to target a broader audience.
As I’m thinking about this, Kaede notices something.
”Is it just me, or does this snow look really muddy…?”

”Isn’t it strange that even the lake is cloudy white?”
