It’s true; if Kohina-senpai usually snaps back at me when it’s just the two of us but isn’t this time, I should probably apologize.

I guess it’s still soon after our date, huh?
I find myself chatting easily with everyone, just like I do when I’m alone with Kohina-senpai.
Kohina-senpai tends to dig deep into conversations, so the boundaries sometimes get fuzzy.
Honestly, I think I relax way more talking to Kohina-senpai than I do when I’m with the guys like Shintaro.
”Ahem! To get back on topic, I actually don’t have much confidence myself!”
”What… Emily-senpai?”
Kanon gives Emily a seriously suspicious look.
Seeing that, Emily leans close to Kanon’s ear and whispers something.
”Well, you know, I was the very last on the Verification Team… even slower than Nee-san and Kaede-paisen.”
”True… now that you mention it, considering Emily-senpai’s potential, you should’ve been faster. Honestly, why were you dawdling so much back then?”
Kanon tries to reply, but Emily visibly sinks into disappointment.
Seeing that, Kanon quickly apologizes to Emily, flustered.
Hey, Kanon, you’re getting played!
Emily only pretended to be sad after watching me and Kohina-senpai earlier, just to get Kanon’s attention.
She really likes Kanon, after all.

”Huh? But doesn’t Noel-san seem different?”
”Because Papa carries the Yukishiro bloodline.”
”Ah, right… Noel-san always steps forward, leads stuff, so I sometimes forget that.”
Kanon… maybe you just haven’t realized how terrifying Danjou-san really is?
When Danjou-san grabbed my hand during that thing with Emily, even I was sweating cold.
Noel-san might be tough in fights, but Danjou-san is a whole other level.
When I tried to laugh off my relationship with Emily, I genuinely thought I’d get killed and instinctively stepped back.
Emily leans in again to Kanon’s ear, whispering something no one else can hear.
