Aqua gets scolded right alongside Emily-senpai by an utterly exasperated Kohina Yukari-san.
Seriously, I’m so sorry my husband and Senpai always get carried away and cause everyone trouble…
”Aqua-sama, let’s you and I join the Kanopai waiting line together, just us 2.”
”I’m going left. Emily, you take the right.”
Aqua and Emily-senpai both flash each other a cool, determined fist bump.
”Don’t give me that ‘serious face’ and just announce you’re going left! And you too, Emily-senpai?! Just saying──my boobs are closed for business today!”
For a second, Kanoa nearby looks genuinely heartbroken watching all this unfold.
Oh.
So he really did want some after all.
Everyone says Kanoa takes after me, all repressed and sneaky, but that’s not it.
He just gets embarrassed with this many people around.
He wanted some, he just couldn’t ask, right?

Something’s wrong.
Words like “kidnapped” and “incident” start popping up in my head, making my skin crawl.
Pegonia’s way too capable to get caught up in something like that… or so I want to believe.
But right now, she’s pregnant.
She can’t push herself like usual──she has to be careful.
Suddenly, it’s not so easy to just rule out the worst-case scenario.
What do I do now…?
Just thinking about her actually getting dragged into some accident or incident──ugh, my stomach’s doing flips.
I’m about to ask Aqua for advice──
And then the hospital room door swings open.
Pegonia walks right in.
”Milady! I did it!”
Pegonia beams at me──then shoves a baby into my arms.

W–wait, don’t tell me──this kid is…?!
”She’s mine! My very own baby!”

Yeah, that’s the only reaction, right?
Wait──Aqua looks just as freaked out.

”H–hold up, Pegonia-san──when did this even happen!?”
”When I saw Milady give birth──I just… I wished I could have my baby the very same day. Maybe the gods heard me, because suddenly, there I was in labor.”

N–no way, something like that can’t just──happen… right?!
Aqua, Emily-senpai, Kaede-senpai, Nee-san, and even Kohina Yukari-san are frozen, mouths hanging wide open.
”Hehehe. This way, from the very day she was born──my daughter can serve Milady’s daughter.”
Pegonia──don’t decide your newborn’s entire life without asking her first!
If your kid says she wants to serve my kid, fine!
But let her choose her own future, okay?

Thanks to Pegonia suddenly dropping in with her newborn, the whole hospital room’s turned into chaos.
But honestly… I kind of like it this way.
’Cause, you know, when I was a kid, I was always alone. I never had friends or family to laugh with or joke around.

I murmured in a voice too quiet for anyone to hear.
Yet, somehow, Aqua turned to me.
”Kanon, did you say something?”
”Nah, it’s nothing. Just thinking I might turn in early ’cause I’m a bit tired.”
I was worried about the kids in Pegonia getting weird names, but with big sis around, they’ll be just fine… right?
I surrendered to the drowsiness, closing my eyes nice and slow.
”Kanon, you really did work hard today. And… thank you.”
I felt a warm touch on my forehead.
With that warmth, I sank into a deep sleep.
”Pegonia, just as planned!”
