True to his words, on the very first pitch, Aqua-sama smashed a home run and tied the game. The crowd went wild!
Me and Rin clapped hard, serious faces on. Aqua-sama is next level, no doubt.
He started signing autographs on used bats, gloves, balls, helmets, even hats for the people who guessed the final score right.
Man, these baseball club folks are thorough. Maybe I should sign the spare hat I wore when coaching? I’ll fake it like Coach Kohina’s autograph, lol.
For a second, I worried if they’d say, “Nah, don’t want it,” but nope—they took it happily. Sorry for signing your hat without asking! I’ll work part-time and send a new one later.

I tossed Rin up and ruffled her hair.

I sent a message to Kukuri asking for help to find the missing Kaede-paisen. She’s probably more reliable than the adults like Nee-san or Ako-san, so I figured it would be fine. We came together, but seriously, where have you been all this time? All the strange incidents are over now.

After that, we sang four more songs: Aqua-sama’s solo, a duet between Aqua-sama and me, another duet with Rin and Aqua-sama, and finally a duet between Rin and me. After karaoke, we took a break in the classroom-turned-café to soothe our dry throats.
”Oh, this café. Aqua-sama, you came up with the menu, right?” I asked.
”Yeah. We ran a café last year too, so the first-years asked if we could share some ideas from our experience.”
Aqua-sama looked happy and a little bashful, probably pleased to be relied on by the juniors. Meanwhile, I found myself distracted by the source of the milk in Aqua-sama’s special Milk Coffee—it was made from milk squeezed by a student’s mom. I couldn’t focus on what he was saying.
