Volume 13 Chapter 269 Kohina Yukari, The Claim Of A Sexual Adolescent
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
I thought it was just a café, but the experience was awful. Otomezaki was just a regular school for that guy, and the other students were just as clueless. Seriously, what kind of school is this?
”Kohina-senpai, there’s a haunted house over there!” Aqua said excitedly.
”Haunted houses? No way,” I said flatly.
Knowing Aqua, he was probably just chasing after that busty girl who showed up at the entrance earlier. I could see right through him.
”Are you saying that because you’re actually scared?” Kaede teased.
”Yeah, Yukari, you’re such a scaredy-cat,” Inko added with a smirk.
”Hey, chill out! Everyone’s afraid of something!” Maron said.
”Eek! Aqua, Iria, the haunted house is terrifying!” Iria whined, clutching Aqua like a lifeline.
Why were these two here? I glared at Kaede, Inko, Maron, and Iria who had appeared next to me. Iria was glued to Aqua, and Aqua, being the sucker he was, was letting her. If it were Kaede or Iria, they’d punch through a ghost without breaking a sweat.
”Fine! I get it. If you’re gonna say that much, I’ll go. Let’s get this over with,” I said, grabbing Aqua’s arm and dragging him toward the haunted house.
”Wait, Kohina-senpai! Don’t yank me like that!” Aqua protested.
A haunted house made by students couldn’t be that scary, right?
”Wait for me, Aqua-kun!” Iria called out.
”Hey, looks fun! Count me in!” Kaede said.
”Festival time!” Inko shouted.
”Come on, don’t ruin Yukari and Aqua’s date!” Maron teased.
I turned around to complain, but suddenly something slimy slapped my face.
”Ugh! Not again!” I shouted.
The texture was unmistakable—the same slimy konnyaku from the summer festival’s scare test. There was way too much of it stuck to my face.
”Hmm. Aqua, that’s not konnyaku, it’s— Ah!” Kaede said.
”Doing that in the dark isn’t smart… pant pant” Maron added.
What were they doing? Did they really think konnyaku was something else? That was definitely an accident! I heard Maron and Inko breathing heavily nearby, so I grabbed Aqua’s arm and pulled him away.
”Wuff!”
Suddenly, his head bumped right into my chest.
”Hey! Why are you diving headfirst into my chest?” I asked, annoyed. It was my fault for pulling suddenly, but if it was on purpose, I’d have to punch him later.
”So this is what they call the heaven of breasts? Kohina-senpai, I think I’ve died,” Aqua said with a dreamy look.
”You’re not dead, idiot! And there’s no such heaven, so snap out of it!” I snapped back.
Let’s finish this quickly and get it over with.
I felt a push from behind and turned to complain, only to find a ghostly face right in front of me.
”Ahhh!” I yelped, bracing myself to protect against the shock.
”Ugh… can’t breathe… too much chest…” Aqua gasped, his face pressed against mine.
I quickly pulled back and said, “Sorry, almost sent you straight to the afterlife.”
”Heehee. Having fun in the haunted house thanks to Yukishiro Emily’s special effects?” a voice teased nearby.
”I thought there was a lot of konnyaku, but it was just you!”
That scared me more than the ghost! “Stop it!” I said, pushing Aqua behind me like a shield.
Then I felt another push.
”That’s just how it goes,” someone said.
”Right!” another agreed.
Why were they just standing there like it was normal? They teased me the whole time, but now that Emily was involved, everyone freaked out! Aqua, Kaede, Iria, Maron, Inko, and I lined up and moved forward steadily.
”Mmmph!”
What the heck? A piece of konnyaku flew into my mouth and got stuck. I tried spitting it out, but it was stuck in a weird way.
”Wait… is that Aqua’s?” Iria asked.
”My mouth’s too small for this,” Inko said.
”Nope, my mouth is full of Aqua’s,” Maron said.
Munch munch “This konnyaku’s actually pretty good,” Kaede said happily.
Hey! You were just eating like normal! Kaede, you’re in trouble…
In the darkness, I could only see shadows, but up ahead Aqua was walking with his legs close together, holding his stomach. We had already reached the goal.
”Uff!”
Hey, Aqua, what’s wrong? I watched him stop suddenly in the dark, squinting.
”Don’t go out yet,” Kaede said.
”Yeah, how about we stay here forever with the older girls?” Maron added.
”Look! It’s the ghost of a busty woman!” Inko teased.
”It’s dark, so don’t be shy—do whatever you want!” Iria added.
Hey! Don’t tempt our Aqua! I pulled him away from the ghost’s grasp and toward the exit.
”Sniff, sniff… my personal boob ghosts…” Aqua whimpered.
No way! Boobs aren’t just things you can touch whenever! If you asked seriously, everyone here would do way more than just touching!
”Aqua, don’t cry. You can always touch Iria’s boobs,” Maron said softly.
”There, there, Aqua. Yukari, don’t make him cry,” Kaede said.
”Well, Yukari, maybe you should offer yours instead?” Inko teased.
”Yeah, go ahead, touch as much as you want. Might even let you suck if you want,” Maron joked.
Clap clap “O-P-I! O-P-I!” Kaede and Inko clapped together.
Stop clapping! These students get way too excited and copy everything immediately! Wait, was that Emily-chan clapping too? Emily-chan, don’t just jump in!
”When we get home, you can squeeze or suck however you want. Now let’s go!” I said firmly.
”Huh? What did you say?” Aqua asked, surprised.
I wasn’t repeating myself. If he didn’t hear, it wasn’t my problem. I pulled Aqua away from the crowd near the school building. The whole place was packed… must be some event going on.
”Ah, is it that time already? Kohina-senpai, can you wait here for a bit?” Aqua asked.
”Hey! Where are you going? Don’t do anything dumb again!” I shouted.
Aqua just walked off, leaving me behind. Ugh, what was with him?
While waiting, I heard an announcement over the loudspeaker.
’The ‘Otomezaki Academy Students’ Claims’ event is starting in the schoolyard! Anyone who wants to share something with their fellow students, please come to the rooftop!’
That sounded interesting. I looked up and saw someone familiar on the rooftop.
’First up, Shirogane Aqua from Class 2A! The person he wants to speak to is Kohina Yukari, his awesome senior. Let’s hear what he has to say!’
Wait, me? W-wait!
Everyone around me turned to look at me.
Stop staring! I’m just as surprised! I don’t even know what face to make!
”Kohina-senpai—!” Aqua shouted so loud without a mic, it probably carried all the way to the train station.
”Could you maybe lower your volume a bit?” I snapped, trying not to glare.
”The other day, I accidentally ate the squid tentacle you said you didn’t want! Sorry about that—really!” Aqua waved his hands like it was the end of the world.
”Who cares? Can you say something more important for once?” I shot back, and people nearby chuckled.
Great. Now I have to apologize for squid tentacles in front of half the school. Fantastic.
”Actually, just the other day, I were about to eat ice cream after the bath, but—”
”Food apologies are off-limits! It just makes me sound like a bottomless pit!” I cut him off, already feeling the sting of embarrassment.
He’s definitely doing this on purpose. And my ice cream… you owe me one. I was really looking forward to it.
”No, it wasn’t me who ate the ice cream, it was Kaede!” Aqua said quickly.
I almost laughed. Wait, where did Kaede run off to? She always disappears when things get serious.
”Anyway, I want to say something to Kohina-senpai.” Aqua stepped forward like this was some big moment.
”Ohhh!” The crowd’s reaction made me freeze. Seriously? Could you not wait for me to prepare?
Why did he have to shove me forward like that?
”Kohina-senpai, thanks for always helping me, even when I don’t ask.” Aqua said, genuine this time.
”Waaah!” The applause started, and I wished the floor would open up. Being thanked is nice, but not when it feels like a public execution.
”When I first started in entertainment and had no clue what I was doing, you taught me what really matters for an actor.”
”In your case, it’s not just entertainment—you’re clueless about common sense too.” I couldn’t help but jab, and the crowd laughed.
Honestly, you still have zero common sense, and it’s not getting better.
”I’m still a rookie, but one day I want to stand next to you—not just as an idol, but as an actor. I’ll work hard every day! And someday, let’s walk the red carpet together at the biggest awards in the States! No, I want to win an award with you, at least once.”
The cheers were loud enough to shake the building. Great speech—but just once? That’s setting the bar low.
”Don’t be so modest! Say we’ll win ten times in a row!”
”No, I also want to win with Ayana and Mommy Mikuni, so nonstop wins might be overdoing it…” Aqua hesitated, and everyone burst out laughing.
I get it, but you should sell it better. Now I look like the only one serious about this.
”And now, for the grand finale, I want to dedicate a song to everyone at Otomezaki who stuck with me!”
Aqua stood beside Toa-chan, and Mayuzumi-kun showed up with a keyboard guitar.
Seriously? Dragging them into this? Both looked like they’d rather be anywhere else.
Aqua ripped off his school shirt and threw on a hoodie like some rapper. I already felt uneasy.
A catchy beat started from the rooftop.
’Hey everyone, wanna know secrets about Aqua? Here’s the truth no one tells you.’
Toa-chan was singing lead? Next to him, Aqua started this weird, flailing dance that looked like an octopus having a seizure. Everyone was already laughing.
’Last time, he tried to look cool for a girl and failed spectacularly. Why does Aqua like girls so much?’
’Because we’re in high school. Duh.’
Aqua stepped forward, staring at the sky like this was serious business.
’During PE, when they played basketball, Aqua tried to impress Ayana. He got so hyped he grabbed the ball thinking it was Uruha’s chest. Ayana gave him the coldest look you’ve ever seen.’
Hahaha! What an idiot. No, seriously, what an idiot.
’Why does this always happen?’
’Because Uruha’s chest is the size of a basketball.’
Uruha-chan flushed bright red and looked down. Great, now she’s blushing. Not the best day for her.
’By the way, it felt pretty good to touch.’
No one needed to hear that.
’Still, why does this keep happening?’
’Because I’m Shirogane Aqua, that’s why.’
Only you could pull that excuse off. Everyone else would be dead by now.
’At the pool opening, Aqua tried to impress Sugita-sensei by cleaning. He overdid it, slipped, and fell right into Sugita’s chest. Then, he accidentally hit a sensitive spot with the mop and nearly passed out.’
Aqua covered himself with both hands, grimacing at the memory.
’What happened next?’
’Sugita turned pale and called for help. I got rushed to the ER, hiding the damage with a towel while everyone stared.’
Don’t laugh at your own disaster! It’s tragic, not funny. But I was laughing anyway.
’And because the mop was in the way, I couldn’t even touch Sugita’s chest.’
Well, that’s what you get for sneaky plans.
’But why does this always happen?’
’Because that area’s solid as a rock.’
The crowd applauded like Aqua just gave a motivational speech. Seriously, what a fool.
’I’m trying to study to impress Sugita, but I realized maybe it’s better to fail and take remedial classes alone.’
No, don’t say that! Study properly, Aqua. And if you have time for dumb thoughts, use it for something useful! Sugita nearby laughed, clutching his stomach.
’Today again, Aqua’s sneaking glances at some girl somewhere.’
’Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, I fall for someone new.’
The crowd’s cheer was the loudest yet.
’Normally I’m like this, but please don’t give up on me.’
’I’m also sad we switched from summer to winter uniforms.’
Honestly, who cares?
’Kohina-senpai, please don’t give up on me.’
”I want to, right now… you idiot!” I shouted, and everyone laughed harder than before.
Seriously, what was that? Did we really need a final song? It was totally unnecessary.
While everyone watched the rooftop, I slipped away to my classroom to change.
Aqua said to wait, but I told him I’m done and going home. I’m just too tired for the festival now.
”Huh? Are the guests leaving already?”
And why is Emily-chan still riding with me in the taxi? Great. What a day.
