”Since that is how things stand, I was wondering if you might be willing to close the gap between us just a little bit more~desuwa.”
After saying that, Jane-san sat down right beside me. She snuggled up close, her body pressing against mine. A soft, light sensation came through my arm.
When she says ‘close the distance,’ what does she mean? Our physical distance is already at zero. I can only assume the next step is to merge and make the distance a negative number…
”When you say close the distance, what do you mean by that specifically?” I asked.
”It is things like that~desuwa yo.” Jane replied.
”Huh?”
Like where?
Seeing that I truly did not understand, she looked at me with a face that seemed to say ‘You really are hopeless~desuwa ne.’ Then, after letting out a dramatic sigh, she told me.
”Anma-sama, before I knew it, you were calling Corinna by her name and using easy talk with her, yet with me, you still use ‘san’ and formal words~desuwa. It makes me feel a sense of distance, and it makes me quite sad~desuno.”
As she spoke, she covered her face with her hands and acted like she was crying. Since I could see her eyes peeking at me with a playful look, she was not actually sad, but I think she is serious about what she said. I am not attached to formal speech anyway, so I do not mind changing how I talk.
”But, Jane-san, you use polite words as well, don’t you?” I asked.
”I use this way of speaking with friends and colleagues too~desuwa yo. This is my true self~desuwa. When I give orders to the maids, I use a tone for that, but for everyone else, it is always like this~desuwa ne.” Jane explained.
She spoke like that with Her Highness the Princess and with the other maids. If that is her true self, maybe she is a lady from a high family…?
”Um, are you a noble lady, Jane-san?” I asked.
”Sigh… well, my home is noble… but, um, it is just a low noble house, so you do not need to worry~desuwa yo. For power, I think Anma-sama’s ability has a bigger impact than my family does. So, please, call me Jane.”
No, it still worries me. Seeing me still waiting, Jane talked even more.
”Anma-sama, you are a guest of Her Highness. There is no need for you to use polite words for me, a simple servant of Her Highness.”
”Is that how it works?” I asked.
”Please think that is how it works. Besides, my body belongs to Anma-sama, and my special place is for Anma-sama’s use only. It would be strange to use formal words for your own thing, right?” Jane replied.
Maybe saying it was shy for her, as Jane’s face turned very red. I still have some doubt, but it would be bad to keep saying no when she has said this much. I put my arm around Jane’s waist and pulled her close. Then, I spoke into her ear.
”I understand. Then, I look forward to being with you, Jane.”
”Yes, I look forward to it too, Anma-sama!” Jane said, looking very happy.
She gave me a big smile. If this is all it takes to make her glad, then it is fine with me.

We talked while flirting, sitting even closer than before. We talked about something that was on my mind before.
”So, is it true that I have more power than your family, Jane?” I asked.
”Of course~desuwa yo. I would never tell you a lie.” Jane replied.
I do not feel like I have much power. When I said that, Jane shook her head.
”You are liked by both Her Highness the Princess and Her Highness the Queen Consort; even now, you have some power. And I think your power will only grow. We must make sure it does not become a problem, though…”
”Um, you mean something might be a problem?” I asked.
When I asked, Jane nodded with a worried look. I feel like the fun mood left because the talk became so serious.
”I do not know who will act first, but if word gets out, noblewomen will target Anma-sama in secret. If they can, they will want to keep you for themselves.” Jane said.
Keep me? I do not understand how women think about breast size. Is it not fine if you get bigger? Seeing my face full of questions, Jane laughed.
”Right now, you could say our group is keeping Anma-sama, so please think that is how it is. It is hard for men to know how women think, just as it is hard for women to know how men think~desuwa.”
”Hmm. Well, for now, I get it. I will remember that people might try to take me. By the way, what kind of noblewomen are we talking about?” I asked.
When I asked, she began to worry. I wonder if there are many.
”Almost no noblewomen have enough soldiers to target this place. Maybe only the wife of Knight Order Commander¹ and the wife of His Excellency the Prime Minister?” Jane said.
”In that case, will those people come for me?” I asked.
”No, that is not it.” Jane replied.
Jane shook her head with a hard look.
”For the wife of Knight Order Commander, she was a female knight and has power over the knights. She might use that force, but… she is quite large herself, and she is our enemy who says big breasts make it hard to move. So, she will not care about breast growth. Even if she knows, she will ignore it. If she told His Majesty, the country would be in trouble, so she will not tell.”
”Ah, I see…” I muttered.
I felt a strong feeling when she said ‘our enemy,’ but I stayed quiet. I will not step on a trap when I can see it.
”Also, the women of the Prime Minister’s family do not need to target you. They are related to Princess Leticia, so their turn will come if they wait. They might ask to go faster, but that is all~desuwa ne.” Jane explained.
”Oh, right, the Queen Consort is the Prime Minister’s daughter, right?” I asked.
”Yes, that is right~desuwa.” Jane replied.
She nodded.
”So, no single noblewoman can raid Anma-sama. For a while, talks will be behind the scenes. But we do not know what the noblemen will do. Some might target Anma-sama because their wives tell them to, and some might try to kill Anma-sama before you can touch their wives or daughters.”
”Wait, really?” I asked.
”Serious~desuwa.” Jane replied.
When I asked if she was serious, she nodded. I thought it would be bad, but not a death risk. It feels like many people want to kill me.
”Is it no good if I promise not to massage them?” I asked.
”It is no good~desuwa ne. Women would not accept that. If they just watch other women get bigger, they would rather you were gone. At worst, if a man tells Her Majesty, it is an easy death risk~desuwa.”
Oh… So if men find out, it is over…? I thought it was over if the King knew I rubbed the Queen Consort, but it is over if anyone knows. Is it too hard?
”Um, I must not be found out, but the Princess knows it is bad, right? What did she say?” I asked.
”Yes, she said if we stop it for now, the problems will go away. Maybe she has a plan she cannot tell me.” Jane replied.
What does she mean? If I am attacked, the rumors will spread. Jane laughed to help me feel better.
”We must not be found out, but if rumors spread, it is a problem for the Princess and the Queen Consort too~desuwa. I think she can handle it. Maybe she says it is the power of another female Summoned One? If a woman’s power makes breasts bigger, men will not care… they might even like it. We would need to talk to the Summoned One, though.” Jane explained.
”I… see? But if I am attacked before that, will I be found out?” I asked.
”No, if people doubt Anma-sama before the plan is ready, you would be a cover for Princess Leticia to get a head start. Once the power is public, others cannot attack, and then it is up to the Princess.” Jane said.
So if I can hold out for now, there is no problem. Jane nodded and spoke again.
”It will be a while before they doubt you, but please stay with me or Corinna. Lunch is fine with many people, but other times are risky. Please do not leave Corinna. You are safe with her~desuwa.”
Safe with Corinna…? I look at Corinna on the bed. I hear her soft breathing. …Is it really okay?
”If the door is locked, the Magic Circle² works, so no need to worry… but I want her to wake up soon~desuwa ne.” Jane said.
Jane moved to Corinna and called her. But she did not wake up.
”Corinna, wake up, Corinna. …There!” Jane shouted.
”Ah!♡ Eh, what is it!?” Corinna cried out.
Jane flicked Corinna’s nub. She has no mercy for her friend who passed out from too much fun…

”By the way, I wonder what the plan is?” I asked.
”I think they are looking at people? They want a woman who will help hide that Anma-sama is rubbing breasts behind the men’s backs,” Jane replied.
”…I wonder if there is a person like that.” I muttered.
