I was looking at the materials I had ordered from the supplier, and Risa-san was already taking action. It seemed that a trial period for the housekeeper and plant rental would start in the last week of November.
Since this week started, Risa-san has been restless and excited, even though she’s been busy with work. It’s probably because of the weekend event.
She seemed to be working happily, without any night shifts for a while.
On the other hand, I was having a hard time finding a job. Friends told me things like, “You’re limiting your options,” or “There are good companies, even if they’re not well-known.”
But I thought it would be wrong to settle for something if I was just going to quit right after starting.
Since I didn’t have a part-time job today, I decided to buy the ingredients I forgot on my way home. Around noon, I remembered I had sent a message to Risa-san asking, “Do you want anything to eat?”
I checked my phone at the supermarket.
’Sorry, I have to do an emergency night shift. I wanted to eat Shuu’s food…’
I got that message from Risa-san. It seemed the person who was supposed to do the night shift had to go home suddenly because of something at home. I didn’t know that shift changes could happen on the same day. Plans were completely unpredictable.
(Risa-san, did you bring a change of clothes for the night shift?)
From what I saw of the commuting bag in the room this morning, it looked small… Maybe she didn’t prepare anything for the night shift?
I replied to Risa-san, “Should I bring a change of clothes to work? I can also make a bento and bring it with me.”
