Volume 10 Chapter 3 The Concerns Of Sword-Wielding Girls

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

After the bath, Aurelia and Ane were waiting for me, dressed in their usual clothes.

The office we used for the chaos earlier was now being cleaned neatly by the female Ogre, and the room I was taken to was the one Aurelia used as her private room.

”Ah, I’ve been able to receive Lord Kent’s favor after a long time, and I’ve gone beyond my place as a subject to make shameless requests, causing you trouble…”

Aurelia’s skin was particularly radiant, both inside and out, as it was thoroughly coated with a generous amount of semen.

”It’s fine, she’s my wife after all. I’m the one who asked her to do something troublesome, so I should be the one thanking her.”

”As my job is to develop this Westferm into a respectable town, I won’t deny that it’s a hassle… but…”

I also heard about Aurelia’s efforts from my mother-in-law, so I decided to pat her on the head.

 ”Lord Kent…”

”Aurelia… you’re doing a great job. What I said earlier was just an extra reward. This is the real thing.”

I had Ane bring me the package I was holding onto.

Then, I presented the package to Aurelia.

Aurelia looked puzzled as she received the package.

”You can unwrap it. I’m sure you’ll be delighted.”

 ”Haa… then I’ll unwrap it.”

Aurelia began to unwrap the package she was holding.

Before long, she was grasping a large sword in her hand.

”C, could this be… the Sword of Wind Dust King, wielded by Sword Master Dalmoth?! Where did you get this?!”

Aurelia’s hand, which had drawn the Wind Dust King’s sword from its scabbard, was trembling violently.

”Well, I actually found it through a connection when I was in the Capital City, and I thought I’d buy it as a souvenir for Aurelia.”

”B, bought it? … Wait, please… wasn’t this the treasured family heirloom of the Asura Clan’s prestigious Rufolsia family?!”

Still holding the sword, Aurelia approached me.

The blade’s tip almost grazed my neck, and I flinched slightly.

”A, be careful! Please sheathe it properly!”

 ”A, I’m sorry! I lost my composure. I apologize!”

Aurelia quickly sheathed the sword and was prostrating herself on the floor, rubbing her forehead against the ground.

”Actually, among the Noble families caught up in Lucy’s commotion, there was the Rufolshia family. The daughter who became the head sold me this sword in exchange for my help. Apparently, she really hates fighting. She agreed to sell off their family heirloom rather than let it go to waste. Well, it sounds like her relatives argued about it, but even if it was just official, she went ahead with her decision as the head.”

The female head of the Rufolshia family who sold me this sword wanted to move to this place, so she came here to the South District along with Ophelia and the others.

”The head of the Rufolshia family?! That house is the birthplace of Sword Master Dalmoth! Why would such a famous family do that?!”

When Aurelia heard that the Rufolshia family, which was the birthplace of the Sword Master Dalmoth she admires, was moving to the South District, she froze on the spot.

To tell the truth, it’s not that the entire Rufolshia family is moving here──it’s just that the person who became the head is settling down in this land.

”A lot has happened. Anyway, since I gave you this new sword, I’ll free you from your Lord duties soon. Westferm has developed quite a bit, and I found some good people in the Capital City to add as Bureaucrats.”

”Huh?! Does that mean I’m off duty…?”

Aurelia looked over at me with a worried expression.

”No, Aurelia, I’m keeping you as Lord, but I want you to devote yourself to Monster Hunting, which is your main job. Now that you’ve got a new sword, I thought you’d do well in the area you’re best at.”

”…A-Are you sure it’s okay for me to do Monster Hunting?!”

Aurelia was so happy she looked like she was about to jump with joy.

I had secretly known she went Monster Hunting with Ane and the others on her days off, but now that Westferm’s development is on track, it seemed more efficient to have Aurelia go out hunting instead of tying her down with Lord work.

”Yeah, sure. I’ve finally taken care of all the chaos in Capital City, and I don’t have much work to do as king right now. So I was thinking of focusing on Monster Hunting south of Godard for a while to train myself. I’m also thinking about bringing Aurelia along on that hunt.”

 ”L-Lord Kenttt~. I’m going! I’ll definitely join!”

In the background of the decision to move Aurelia was Marietta, who had caught my mother-in-law’s eye.

When she came here, Lina evaluated her abilities in detail, and they found out she could handle Domestic Politics and official affairs smoothly, plus she had a Skill to influence how people around her perceive things. Because of that, my mother-in-law had already hired her as a bureaucrat.

That’s why they decided there would be no problem letting the bureaucrat take over Aurelia’s work.

”That’s wonderful. I’ll be quietly cheering you on as well.”

Next to the happy Aurelia, Ane was wiping away her tears.

”No, no, I’m going to have Ane come along too. We’ll also select around 50 people from the Cavalry unit. If possible, I’d like you to pick girls who have the ability and can get more jobs.”

Ane was left speechless at my sudden proposal.

”Huh? I’m joining too? And you want girls who can get a lot of jobs…?”

”Yeah, I’m thinking about a southern campaign this time. I’m planning to wipe out the monsters all the way to the Nirei River. From the army, I’ll have about 50 people each from Akebus’s Education unit and Charlotte’s team join in, and I’m also going to recruit members from Black Bullet and Black Wing.”

”W-What, a southern campaign?! Huh?! Are the ones chosen going to be candidates for unit commanders?!”

”Exactly. The other day, I saw the skill level of the troops led by Nokin in Capital City. We do need a lot of people, but I also thought we’d need a core Elite Troops unit. Luckily, we have the Southern Region, which is the perfect Training ground. It’s not a place for fighting people, but it’s just right for training group combat. Of course, I’ll make sure we have logistics and medical staff so nobody dies.”

I was planning a southern expedition as ConcentrationTraining for the people with both ability and potential chosen from the army and Blackdagger家’s private soldiers, so I could form a unit capable of standing up to the overwhelming power of the troops led by Nokin that I saw in Capital City.

We’re on friendly terms with the Garuda Principality through a mercenary contract as fellow satellite states under the Kingdom, but if they gain enough strength to become fully independent, there’s always a chance they might turn against us. That’s why it’s urgent to build up our military power for self-defense.

Even though our South DistrictMargrave national army has started to be called the strongest on the Demon Continent nowadays, it’s still the smallest in size. While our training level, morale, and Equipment supply are high, we have many young Officers and soldiers, and Kondrad has pointed out their lack of experience.

For this southern expedition, I want to actively train promising people so they can gain enough experience to serve as key members of the army and of South District Margrave.

It also suggests that if you hunt down monsters all the way to the Nirei River, a new monster defense line will be set up on the lines of the Kiroko Mountains and Nirei River, and that it would be easier to develop the plains and hills within the line of defense as new development villages and trading sites.

”…Your Excellency Kent…I wasn’t just a sexy king…I’m happy to be served by a king like you.”

Ane’s eyes sparkle and was moved.

”Um… it’s certainly erotic, but… he’s pretty normal trying to make the king too…”

”Then! First things first, I must sharpen the Sword of Dust King bestowed upon me by Lord Kent. Hehehe… I’ll slice through monsters with this blade and soak it in plenty of magic essence… Hehehe. Well, I’ll take my leave to sharpen the blade!”

Aurelia caressed the blade and dashed out of the room.

For now, I gave Ane a look, signaling her to *make sure Aurelia doesn’t get too absorbed in sharpening the blade*. She nodded lightly in understanding.

”The southern campaign is scheduled for a month from now, so hurry with the selection.”

”Yes, I’ll quickly choose the members.”

 ”Alright, I’m counting on you.”

And so, starting the next day, Aurelia was freed from her lordly duties. She began sparring with the martial artists of the Garuda Clan at the temple built by Elkisa, the high priestess, in preparation for the upcoming southern campaign.
