*Clayd’s Perspective
I was riding on Fabulanova’s back, already in Dragon Transformation form, waiting for the launch of the ‘Felward Air Operation.’ This joint operation with the Black Dragon Dukedom’s ‘Sky Squadron’ and Dee’s ‘Black Wing’ from Margrave South District was about to begin.
This operation, which I was part of, was a branch of the counteroffensive, aimed at clearing out the flying ‘another world monsters’──the toughest ones for our ground troops to deal with.
With Dee as the leader, we were going to use a group of Dragonia and Dragonewts to scatter the flying monsters. The goal was to make other operations, like the ‘Feto River Encirclement and Annihilation’ and the main ‘Felward Counteroffensive,’ easier to succeed.
In other words, our job was to clear the skies and distract the enemy on the ground. To do that, the Black Dragon Clan had gathered all its strength. Everyone, including Dragonia, had undergone Dragon Transformation to boost combat power.
”Fabulanova. Are you sure you don’t want to take command yourself? Dee can transform, but he’s still young.”
I asked Fabulanova, who was waiting for departure at the prepared highland airfield after the operation briefing.
”That kid has become a much better leader after just one month of real combat. Besides, Ugno, the battle freak, is even willing to give up command to him. He’s a real talent. The success rate is definitely higher with him in charge rather than me. As expected, she’s your daughter and mine. You could say she’s born for war.”
Fabulanova, in her Dragon Transformation form, looked at Delprius, who was preparing for the mission, her sharp gaze narrowing as if she felt an awe-inspiring presence.
”Right. Now that you mention it, she *is* our daughter. But I, her father, can’t lose to her yet! I’ll get the most kills in this battle!”
”Heh, still acting like a child.”
”D-Don’t be stupid! I’m not a kid! I’m aiming to be the strongest man on the Demon Continent. There’s no way I’ll lose to my own daughter!”
Fabulanova’s words, calling him childish, lit a fire under him. Now he was determined to fight for glory.
”Father! Be quiet! If you make such a racket, I’ll leave you behind! We don’t need anyone disrupting the formation!”
After shouting loudly behind Fabulanova, a sharp scolding from his daughter came immediately.
”Wait, I’ll follow orders! Don’t leave me!”
”Father’s been slacking lately. If you disagree with my instructions as the commander, then say so!”
”I don’t disagree. I’ll follow Delprius’s orders.”
”Then, let’s begin the operation soon. Remember, the fate of this world depends on our success!! Commence ‘Felward Aerial Operation’!!”
Following Delprius, who took flight with her massive wings, nearly 2 thousand members of the Black Dragon Clan began to take off. Thus, the ‘Felward Aerial Operation’, a side mission to achieve the decisive ‘Felward Counteroffensive Operation’, began.

The army that took off from the highland airstrip looked down at Felward Fortress and spotted a swarm of flying ‘another world monsters’ gathering in the eastern sky like clouds.
”Father, be lively bait and bring them before me. Ludmila will lead 2 hundred from below to drive them, Mother will do the same with 2 hundred from the right, and Rosvita will also drive the ‘another world monsters’ from the left to the center.”
”Tch, Delprius. Aren’t you pushing your father too hard?”
”I only rely on those who can do the job. Or, is it too difficult for you, Father, to lure those monsters?”
”Don’t be stupid. Luring those weaklings? Easy as pie! Not even a snack!”
”Then I leave it to you. Ugno, lead one thousand troops! Prepare for ground assault!”
Following Delprius’s smooth orders, the Black Dragon Clan split into groups and soared into the sky, flapping their wings. I activated my Flying Wings and advanced, just like Delprius instructed, to lure the ‘another world monsters’.
As I moved forward, swarms of flying ‘another world monsters’ attacked.
”I chugged a whole bunch of mana recovery potions before this, so I’ll blow you all away! Gather, mana! Become swords of light, and take form in my hands! ‘Double Light Blade’!!”
With a grating sound, glowing swords made of mana appeared in my hands. I poured out a lot of mana to make the blades long, then swung them at the attacking ‘another world monsters’.
The ‘another world monsters’, shaped like hawks and eagles, attacked with beaks and claws, but were sliced in half by the Light Blades. They stopped flapping, and plummeted to the ground.
”Not even a challenge! Come at me harder!! Ain’t there anyone who can get me fired up?! Aaaah! My daughter treats me like a nuisance lately, and your old man is frustrated!!”
