Mild’s army, which was conducting artillery fire, had deployed around the magical cannon unit as if to guard it. Breaking through that defense would mean suffering considerable damage without the necessary resolve.
”Lord Garvey… it seems that reinforcements have arrived for us. With that, Yaalan’s army is in disarray.”
Charlotte, who was observing Yaalan’s army through a telescope, handed it to me with a wry smile.
”Huh!? Besides us, there are no other armies around! The others are fighting in another world!”
”Look to the south!”
Peering through the telescope at where Charlotte pointed, I saw a herd of Stampede Bulls—the same ones that had been breeding in the forest we had given up on subjugating. They were raising a cloud of dust as they stampeded toward Yaalan’s army. Looking closer, on top of the Stampede Bulls were the Monster Hunters led by Giuliana, who should have been detouring to the south, recklessly riding on their backs.
”Heh heh heh, hahaha!! This is interesting!! The Monster Hunters have come to our aid. Good! Prepare for combat! Now, my team and Charlotte’s team will charge into Mild’s army! We’ll charge in a dispersed formation to avoid the artillery fire, so don’t get separated!”
It seemed that the Monster Hunters were plotting an invasion of Yaalan’s army using the Stampede Bulls. If we timed it right, Mild’s army might become confused, allowing us to approach their forces with less damage. The soldiers, stressed from being exposed to long-range artillery fire, responded with cheers.
Thus, our forces, led by Charlotte and me, were poised to launch a screaming attack on the unit commanded by Mild from the ruins.

”Lady Giuliana, don’t overdo it. Using Stampede Bulls is… because they can exert combat power that can surpass an entire army when they form groups and run amok.”
I had been watching the progress of the battle. The Monster Hunting team led by Giuliana, who had quickly turned things around, had been held up by enemy shells fired by Mild’s army. Charlotte and Garvey, sent as reinforcements, were now preparing to break through.
It seemed that Garvey, quick to seize opportunities, had noticed Giuliana’s movements. He and Charlotte were showing signs of quickly breaking out of the ruins and approaching Mild’s army. Mild, busy dealing with the Stampede Bulls approaching Yaalan’s army, was somewhat on the back foot.
Yaalan appeared to be preparing to face the enormous horde of the vicious and unparalleled Stampede Bulls alone, showing no signs of moving his army to prevent a runaway.
…Is Yaalan underestimating the monsters? The monsters in the South District are different from those in other regions… or is he thinking he can wipe out monsters of that size…?
Suspicious of the signs that Yaalan, showing a readiness to intercept, might be setting a trap, I thought this was the last chance for our army. I planned to lead the troops myself to incapacitate the True Demon Dukedom army all at once.
”Alright! Our army will also advance! Here, let’s cut off the head of the True Demon King Yaalan and celebrate Sir Kent’s return! We’ll give the king who betrayed humanity the punishment he deserves!!”
Though exhausted from multiple battles, the soldiers, who should be physically and mentally drained, harbored anger toward Yaalan for his betrayal at this moment when the fight against the ‘another world monster’ was leaning towards victory. Their morale was soaring as if touching the heavens.

The soldiers, one after another, praised Sir Kent and proceeded with preparations for combat. When everything was ready, it felt as if the heat of their enthusiasm raised the temperature of the ground.
”Targeting only the head of Duke Yaalan!! Don’t even look at other heads!! To repay King Kent’s favor, just one head of Duke Yaalan is enough!! Let’s go to battle!!”

The soldiers, who received the departure instructions, eagerly rushed toward the True Demon Dukedom Army. The final stage of the do-or-die battle was approaching.
