*Kent’s perspective
”Kent!! Leave the small fries to me! [From Dragonic Form, it’s [Dragonic Laser]!!]”
Dee, in her Dragon Transformation, shot up into the sky.
As she wrapped herself in light, her body grew even larger.
Then, with an unnatural light glowing from the depths of her mouth, she aimed at the approaching ‘another world monster.’ A beam of light shot out.
The flying ‘another world monsters’ that were clustered together saw the beam and, sensing danger, immediately scattered into a new formation.
But a few of the ‘another world monsters’ couldn’t avoid it in time, and were obliterated by the beam.
No way… A medium-sized ‘another world monster’ just vanished without a trace… Seriously, making Dee mad is a whole other level of dangerous… When she gets angry, I should probably go for… physical negotiations.
I’ll make sure to remember that.
The power Dee gained from her Dragon Transformation is said to be on par with Bendavar, Orphée Bleu’s mount.
They say it’s the power of the most fearsome dragon species.
After seeing it in action, that nickname seemed pretty fitting.
”Tch, stop dodging like that. Rosvita, Ludmila. Use the Dragonewts to lure those ‘another world monsters’ in front of me.”
As the Black Wing commander, Dee was giving instructions to Rosvita and Ludmila, who were fighting aerial battles.
She’d already gotten the gist of what happened at Dragonbone Mountain from Rosvita.
If Dee could grow from that failure, then maybe it wasn’t all for nothing.
From the way Dee was now, it felt like that failure had served a purpose.
”Got it. Rosvita, my squad will take care of the ones above. Leave the rest to us.”
”Understood. Lady Delprius, please be careful not to involve our allies, all right?”
”I know. Kent’s gonna take out the ‘another world monster’ sneaking up behind me with his gun.”
Delprius seemed to have learned a lot from her one mistake, now paying attention to enemies all around, not just the ones in front.
”I’ve got your back, Dee. I’ll protect you.”
”I’m counting on you.”
As Dee flapped her wings, she turned towards the scattered ‘another world monsters.’
She wasn’t as nimble as Rosvita or Ludmila, but her attack power sure made up for it.
Using Ludmila and Rosvita’s teams to sandwich the ‘another world monsters’ from above and below, then burning them with the [Dragonic Laser] was a sound strategy.
Ludmila’s team lured the ‘another world monsters’ higher into the sky, then dive-bombed the scattered enemies.
The ‘another world monsters’ took the hit from above and tried to retreat, descending towards Dee’s flying position.
Rosvita’s team struck from below, adding to the confusion of the ‘another world monsters.’
”Everyone, scatter in the count of 5! Five… Four… Three… Two… One!”
The confused ‘another world monsters’ sought refuge and ended up clustering right in Dee’s line of fire.
Then, to avoid being caught in the crossfire, Rosvita’s and Ludmila’s teams quickly withdrew.
”Zero!”
An even thicker beam of light engulfed the gathered ‘another world monsters,’ leaving no trace behind.
”Whoa! Dee, that was amazing. Seriously, those ‘another world monsters’ just vanished…”
I was excited, watching Dee wipe out those ‘another world monsters’ all at once.
They had tough hides, a real pain to take down, but Dee made it look easy.
”Becoming Kent’s contract dragon has really amped up my abilities, you know. I took them out in one shot!”
”I see. So the [Dragon Tamer]’s abilities have improved too…”
It turned out Dee’s insane attack power was boosted by my [Dragon Tamer] job.
The true power of the [Dragon Tamer] job, which drastically improves a dragon’s abilities, was on full display.
Teamwork between me and Dee… we’ve gotta be close to the strongest, right?
Her overwhelming attack power and physical strength, plus her defense holding off attacks on me, while I handle magic and healing… we’ve got no weaknesses.
As the Super Fortress Kent, I’ll be the anchor in this fight…
”Lord Blackdagger! We’ve got incoming enemy reinforcements from the Abyss Gate. About a thousand ‘another world monsters’ are heading this way, marching on the village. No flying types spotted yet.”
Ludmila broke the news about the new threat while I was still marveling at Dee’s strength.
Looking towards the Abyss Gate, I saw a dust cloud as the ‘another world monsters’ charged toward us.
They were all medium-sized or bigger, with quite a few large ones mixed in.
…A thousand medium-sized and large ones… That’s bad… Really bad.
With our current forces, there’s no way we can fight properly.
”Dee, head back to the village. The skies are clear, so hurry. If we don’t evacuate the villagers, there will be casualties.”
”Understood. Ludmila, Rosvita, you take care of reducing the enemy near the village and helping with the evacuation.”
””Copy that.””
With the enemies in the sky taken care of, the Dragonewts started flying away, carrying villagers in transport cages.
Dee and I decided to tackle the tough fight on the south side, reducing enemy pressure.

As Dee and I reached the southern entrance, we saw Crimson Bride’s members and the Beast Girls attacking a huge “another world monster” trying to break in.
The southern entrance always seems to attract a lot of big “another world monsters.” Each one hits as hard as an A-rank monster.
Carly, Lina, and Flamil were holding them off with magic, while Milly, Aurelia, and Annabella…
And up above, Feria and Ines were keeping the big “another world monsters” at bay with their attacks.
”Milly!! You’re late. We’re about to roast the enemy with Dee, so you finish them off, okay?”
”Huh?! What? What do you mean? Wait, what?!”
Milly dove down from the sky, staring at us in shock, freezing mid-attack, completely dumbfounded.
”Dee, please. We’re counting on you.”
”Got it. But this is my last shot. [Dragonic Laser] burns through a lot of stamina, you know. I’m starving.”
Dragonia aren’t magician, but they can [Dragon Transform], using Elemental Breath or powerful light beams like Dee to attack.
But it drains their stamina fast.
If they keep it up, they run out of energy and the [Dragon Transformation] wears off.
”Right, I get it. After you fire, Dee, head back to the village and rest up.”
”Understood! Now, I’ll give it everything I’ve got with my last bit of energy!”
As she dove down, she unleashed a [Dragonic Laser] right above the monster’s head.
This time, the light beam scattered into thin rays, raining down on the ground.
The rays pierced through the huge “another world monsters,” blasting them with explosive force and weakening them as they sprayed blood.
