The war had ended, and the world was moving forward peacefully, without any major incidents.
The Margrave South District country continued its daily routine, growing more prosperous with each passing day.

After finishing important matters at the Council of State, also known as the Grand Meeting to Decide on the Country’s Major Issues, I was leaving the office while straightening my disheveled clothes. That’s when my wife, Milly, walked briskly past me.
Judging by her outfit, she was probably heading out on another monster subjugation quest…
I’ve told her to avoid monster hunts since she’s the legitimate wife of the king.
She doesn’t listen and insists that if she doesn’t fight regularly, her skills will decline.
Now, Milly, who seems to have fully embraced her role as a mother, was once a formidable solo Monster Hunter, said to be the strongest in Abyss Vena.
”Milly, are you going on another monster hunt in that outfit?”
”Yeah, well. By the way, Kent, do you want to hunt with me? If you don’t stay active, you’ll end up getting fat and looking like an old man.”
Milly’s words made me glance at my own stomach.
With peace restored, I’ve been enjoying delicious food and a comfortable life, and recently my belly has started to grow a little round.
If I were to lose to someone like Berge, my eldest son and future Crown Prince, it would be embarrassing.
Maybe I should take Milly up on her offer and get some exercise for the first time in a while, instead of just relaxing.
Feeling concerned about my belly, I started to want to go hunting again after a long time.
”I don’t want to become an old man, so I’ll join you. I’ll get ready right away, so wait for me.”
”Okay, I’ll be waiting with the hunting carriage in front of the main gate. Let’s get back before sunset.”
After saying that to Milly, I hurried back to my room, rang the bell, and called for the maids.
The maids arrived with Annabella, and it seemed the news had already spread, as they brought a full set of hunting equipment.
”Sir Kent, I hear you’re going hunting… are you sure it’s okay? You haven’t hunted at all in the past year.”
Annabella was worried, but even though I hadn’t practiced much, I didn’t think I’d lose to any monster, especially since I survived the great war.
”It’s fine, Milly will be with me. Crimson Star’s shadow servant will also accompany me.”
”But just in case… I’ll come with you and the armed maid squad.”
Annabella softly raised her hand, and from inside the door, armed maids guarding the women’s section of the palace gathered around.
The armed maid squad was a group selected by Annabella from the Red Valkyrie. They all wore maid uniforms that Feria had upgraded for better protection.
Among these maids, there was a pair with particularly large breasts.
They were our longtime maids, Feria and Ines.
”Sir Kent, I’ll be guarding you with Ines. Lately, I’ve felt my skills with my dragon, Ludge, have gotten rusty, so this is a great chance to improve.”
”I haven’t been able to exercise Flandre much either, so I’m glad to join this hunt.”
As armed maids, their job is to catch suspicious people inside the castle, but they were both concerned about the lack of exercise for the dragon they ride.
Speaking of which, recent large-scale hunts have been handled entirely by the Red Valkyrie, Margrave South District military, Black Bullet, Black Wing, and other Monster Hunters.
As armed maids, they probably want to use my hunt as an excuse to train their unit by slaying monsters.
”Got it. Take them along, but make sure to follow Milly’s instructions. This time, I’ll just participate as a Monster Hunter.”
”Understood. I will follow Lady Miriallia’s orders.”
With Annabella’s leadership and Feria and Ines’s strength, even the novice maids should get good training.
Milly might scold me, but it’s okay to do that once in a while, right?
”Come on, I shouldn’t keep Milly waiting. Could you help me put on the equipment?”
”Yes, of course. But Sir Kent, your belly is too big, and the equipment’s fasteners can’t reach!”
Feria was tightening the buckle of my armor with all her might.
However, after a year of lazy living, my stomach had changed drastically, and the armor that once fit comfortably now felt too tight.
”T-This is impossible!! No way… It’s too tight, it’s going to spill out!!”
”Sir Kent… haven’t you gained a bit too much weight? You’ve been drinking a lot of my breast milk and Minotaur’s milk every morning, haven’t you? It’s really high in nutrition.”
”No, but I can’t start my day without drinking it first…”
”I thought you’ve gained weight recently, but… it’s this much… You really need to manage your nutrition and exercise properly, or this is bad.”
Annabella was also shocked to see the armor straining around my stomach.
Recently, I’ve been wearing loose clothing, so I hadn’t noticed how much weight I’d gained.

”Phew, I managed to squeeze it on. Ms. Annabella, please hand Sir Kent his weapon.”
Enduring the pain, I managed to get the armor on with Feria’s help, and Annabella handed me my beloved gun lance.
Huh, was this weapon always this heavy?
The gun lance in my hand felt heavier than before, and I almost dropped it.
”Sir Kent… are you really okay? You don’t have to force yourself…”
”No, I just slipped a little; it’s not that I dropped it because it’s too heavy.”
