Volume 2 Chapter 37 Combat Skill And Rock Boar

*Ghh… ghh…*
”I did it! Ugh, that hurts.”
”Kent! Are you okay? I’m going to cast a healing light now, so wait a moment. Gathered magic element, become healing and mend the wounds, healing light!”
Milly rushed over in a panic, stealing Talia’s job.
Well, even though it was through my leather armor, Milly’s chest pressed against my cheek and felt nice, so I won’t get angry.
”Sir Kent, are you okay-nya? To get hurt for my sake…”
Manon approached with a worried expression.
I grabbed Manon’s tail and teased it.
”Because Manon is mine, it’s only natural to protect her! Besides, it’s not that serious of a wound, so it’s fine.”
”If you say that-nya… I can’t leave you-nya.”
Manon took her tail back from me, blushing, and ran away.
I got up, and maybe the healing light that Talia cast for me was too effective because I ended up with a nosebleed.
”Sir Kent, blood, there’s blood. Did I make a mistake?”
Talia panicked at my bleeding, but when I explained it was just a nosebleed, she calmed down.
”What about the other one?”
”Right now, the vanguard team is making a move.”
Talia answered my question.
Milly cast a healing light on me and then handed the treatment over to Talia, returning to her supporting role.
”Lord Kent, please watch my battle skills this time!”
It was Aurelia who declared that.
”Here we go. [Golden Phoenix King’s Sword]! “
A thread of magic radiated from Aurelia’s hand, entangling the Stone Boar and immobilizing it.
Aurelia, who had rushed over, raised her sword high and jumped into the air.
”There’s nothing my sword can’t cut!”
The blade, shining with a golden hue, struck the rock-like back of the immobile Stone Boar with all of Aurelia’s weight behind it.
*Clinkkk!*
The sound of hard objects clashing echoed in the area.
As Aurelia sheathed her sword, a thud sounded, and the Stone Boar was severed in half.
No way, even though I cut the hard part, to slice it in half like that shows incredible sharpness.
”Lord Kent, it was a bit tough, but this baby (Sword of the Diamond King) can cut through it just fine.”
As Aurelia nuzzled her beloved Sword of the Diamond King, she reported to me.
I think Aurelia’s obsession with her sword has gone too far.
Just the other day, after finishing her duty as a guard and once everyone had settled down, I found her grinning in the dimly lit corner of the room, sharpening her sword as part of her routine, and to be honest, it kind of freaked me out.
Additionally, she once tried to bring her sword into the bath because she didn’t want to be apart from it.
However, she figured that doing so would cause it to rust, so she reluctantly decided to leave it in the dressing room, but Aurelia is always the last one to come to the bath.
As I thought about such things, I listened to Aurelia’s report.
”Lord Kent, the [Golden Phoenix King’s Sword] is a skill that I can only use about twice a day at the moment, but as long as I can use it, I believe it will definitely bring death.”
”Got it. That was an amazing skill. But even if your sword is sheathed, try not to talk while rubbing your cheek against it.”
I subtly urged Aurelia to be cautious.
After that, I decided to gather the two Materials we defeated and look for the next Stone Boar, but Feria was in a bad mood.
This was because Feria was the only one who hadn’t had a chance to use her skill yet.
”Next time, please let me use my skill!”
”I understand. Just don’t push yourself if you feel it’s dangerous.”
I calmed Feria, who was itching to unleash her skill for now.
At that moment, the next sacrifice, a Stone Boar, appeared.
”It’s here! I’m going! [Head Hunt]!”
”Hey! Wait, don’t just rush in alone!”
Feria shook off my restraint and ran towards the Stone Boar on her own.
”Hey, someone stop Feria!”
I instructed the vanguard group to stop Feria, who was charging in.
Feria’s blue-white glowing Twin Battle Axe stabbed into the Stone Boar’s neck.
However, she couldn’t quite manage to sever its tough neck.
The Stone Boar, injured by Feria, writhed in pain.
Feria’s hand falls off the Twin Battle Axe, which has dug into the rampaging Stone Boar.
The enraged Stone Boar charges at Feria, who has fallen to the ground.
”Feria! Run!”
I shouted with all my might to warn Feria, who was sitting on the ground.
”Mr. Kent…? Ahhh!”
*Crash!*
The Stone Boar’s charge hit Feria directly, sending her flying far away.
*Thud*
Feria, thrown to the ground, lay there without moving.
I can’t believe this is happening.
Images of Feria dying kept swelling in my mind.
No way.
No way.
I won’t believe it.
That’s right, this isn’t the time to be dawdling; I have to help Feria quickly.
I directed Milly.
”Eliminate that monster right now!”
My orders were immediately carried out, and due to Milly’s assassination, the beast lay dead moments later.
”Wait for me! I’m coming! Talia, hurry!”
I took Talia’s hand and ran towards Feria, who lay on the ground.
As I picked up Feria, I confirmed that a faint trickle of blood was coming from her head.
Talia, who had come with me, began to chant Healing Magic.
”Collect magic elements (mana)! Become healing and heal the wounds. Healing light (heal)”
The magic of healing light (heal) was cast on Feria.
*Twitch*
Feria’s eyelids flutter a bit.
”Fe, Feria! Are you okay? Respond!”
Feria opened her eyes and began to look around curiously.
”I’m being hugged by Mr. Kent… I had a nice dream today~. Maybe I should just go ahead and kiss him.”
It seems that Feria is still half-asleep.
I gave the sleepy Feria a passionate French kiss.
”Nnfuuhh, phew! Huh, huh? This wasn’t a dream… it wasn’t a dream!!!”
As Feria came to her senses, she confirmed what I had done.
And then, her face turned bright red.
”Hey, are you awake?”
Talia, who had been chanting Healing Magic beside me, also turned bright red after witnessing my kiss.
”Huh? Oh? I… that’s right, I got knocked away by the stone boar and lost consciousness. Ouch, ouch!”
Finally grasping the situation, Feria tried to get up, but even the highest-grade maid suit couldn’t completely nullify the impact from the stone boar’s charge, and according to Talia’s assessment, it was determined that she had sustained at least contusions.
”Sir Kent, I apologize that my maid has caused trouble again today, just like yesterday.”
Annabella came to apologize for her subordinate Feria’s blunder.
”Well, since you’re safe, I’ll let it pass this time, but next time, I really will punish you.”
”I’ll make sure to tell her that properly.”
Saying that, Annabella took Feria from my side and, along with Ines, started lecturing her at a nearby rocky area.
I offered words of comfort to Milly, who had come close, worried about Feria.
”Milly, thank you for earlier. Because of you, I was able to rush over to Feria right away.”
”Huh? I just got rid of the interloper since Kent was unusually angry.”
”Still, thanks.”
I said that and kissed Milly on the cheek.
It seems I’m in the mood for kisses today.
After that, while waiting for Annabella’s lecture, I decided to signal the carriage team to join up.
When we joined, Lina rushed over to Feria, who had been injured, insisting to Annabella that it was necessary to remove her armor for an examination, and brought Lana along to take Feria into the carriage.
From inside, I could hear Feria’s troubled voice saying, “Auhn, that spot is not right,” and “Ms. Lina, please don’t massage me,” but I decided not to let Feria participate in the battle today, so I thought she’d become a sacrificial offering for the frustrated Lina.
Instead of Feria, I decided to have Beatrice take the vanguard role.
Since we reunited with the carriage, we had a light lunch for the afternoon.
* * *
In the afternoon, I decided to hunt the stone boars surrounding the carriage as our starting point.
This is because there isn’t anyone in our carriage team who has the Scout job right now.
So, to avoid being ambushed by stone boars if we went too far away, I decided to search for them within a range of about a sufficient distance from the carriage.
The stone boars have a strong territorial awareness, so they don’t live too close together, but surprisingly, a few of them were nearby.
When it came to defeating those stone boars, Beatrice’s spear was extremely helpful.
She showcased an incredible technique where she deflected the stone boars’ charges with her spear, causing them to lose balance and topple over.
I asked Beatrice if that technique was a combat skill, but she said, “No! It’s just a normal technique,” which left me doubly surprised.
Although she looks like a little girl, I recalled that she was a seasoned hunter with an HR second only to Milly in our home.
Even the stone boars with their tough hides take quite a long time to get back up after being knocked over due to their own weight.
During that time, they would receive the brunt of our attacks, scattering black particles as they breathed their last.
In the afternoon, thanks to Beatrice’s efforts, we successfully defeated 6 more than in the morning.
Feeling particularly romantic today, I gave the heroic Beatrice a kiss.
*Pof!*
Beatrice, now in her adult version, let out a scream.
”Kyaa! My chest is showing! Ahh! My butt is showing too! Kent, you big pervert!”
With a huff, Beatrice rushed into the carriage, sobbing.
The equipment meant for little girls didn’t break, but it couldn’t hide the body of the now-adult Beatrice.
Ah, sorry, I forgot.
It wasn’t on purpose.
I was silently apologizing to Beatrice in my heart.
