As evening approached and we arrived at the eastern garrison, the Godard clan came out in full force to greet us in the plaza.
We quickly unpacked our belongings and began preparing for battle.
Akebus, having learned of our arrival, approached in armed attire.
”My lord, we, the Godard clan, are ready. We will head up to the Great Wall and take our positions for vigilance, if that’s alright?”
”Ah, sure. I’ll head up after I’ve gathered my equipment, so please take your positions first. The resident defense team should be arriving by tomorrow morning. We’ll be pulling an all-nighter today.”
”Understood. I will head up first then.”
After leaving my side, Akebus led the 40 men who had gathered in a corner of the plaza and ascended to the nearby Great Wall.
I had been told that this eastern garrison was a small fortress city built from scratch by the kingdom’s army, displaced from Abyss Vena, to accommodate 2500 personnel for the purpose of defending the 4-kilometer eastern section of the 12-kilometer isthmus separating the southern and central regions.
The garrison had barracks for soldiers.
Residences for officers.
A large dining hall.
And even a plaza serving as a training ground, along with communal wells and baths, fully equipped with all the necessary infrastructure for living.
I took over the living room of the largest residence that Akebus had prepared as my headquarters and assigned Helga, Nannie, and Ulrika as headquarters staff to distribute supplies and organize information.
Meanwhile, I called Giuliana, who was at the table in the living room, and we decided on the placement points for Red Valkyrie.
This time, Red Valkyrie was not compulsory, but all 11 parties participated, making a total of 88 people.
Since many of them are just starting out, I plan to have them shoot arrows or throw stones from the castle walls, just like the Godard archers.
”Giuliana. This time, I asked all members to participate, but I want to avoid casualties as much as possible. If the Great Wall is breached, escape to Abyss Vena. There is no need to fight.”
”That’s impossible. The moment the great wall is breached, our fate is sealed. Only death remains for us. Everyone understands that and has come here.”
As expected, they were also residents of Abyss Vena.

Once the locations were decided, she took off with the PLs.
”Sir Kent, the preparations for the Crimson Bride are complete. However, Lady Miriallia, Manon, and Beatrice are out scouting.”
It was appreciated that Milly and the others volunteered to scout.
According to reports received by Arbalest, it was only reported that tens of thousands of monsters were heading towards Abyss Vena, so there is no detailed information about whether there are exactly 10,000 monsters or more, and whether all of them are heading towards Abyss Vena or not.
”That’s helpful. For now, we should wait until Milly and the others return. Let’s eat while we can.”
”I thought so, so I had the women of the Godard clan prepare food in the dining hall. It should be ready soon. Of course, we have also arranged for meals to be provided for those who make it up the Great Wall.”
Soon, a hot meal was served.
It’s a sweet and spicy soup made with dried meat, potatoes, and onions.

Since many of them inhabit the area, it might be good to have a warrior task force assembled from the Red Valkyrie.”
The vanguard’s group of 5 thousand might be fleeing towards us, scared of the powerful 5 thousand in the rear.
In that case, I want to destroy at least 5,000 of the vanguard before it turns into a melee.
”Okay, let’s add 2 more parties to the assault team. Gather as many skilled warriors as possible.”
”Okay. Kent”
”Okay, we’ll wait in front of the gate of the Great Wall.”

I walked out in front of the castle gate with Helga, Nannie, and Ulrika from the supply team, along with Lana, Talia, and Veris from the medical team.

Eventually, the sun completely set, and the darkness of night enveloped the surroundings.
Around me were the members of the Crimson Bride, who would serve as the assault team, and 16 Warriors, including Giuliana, selected from Aida’s magic rifle squad, the Red Valkyrie, all waiting for the moment to deploy.
Then, reports came in that 5 thousand monsters from the vanguard appeared beyond the great wall.
”Enemy monster group sighted! Estimated numbers: 5 thousand! They’re coming this way!”
Since the handling of bows was entrusted to Akebus, the assault team was instructed to stop shooting within the range of the light sphere raised by Milly after they deployed.
”Alright, nock your arrows. Now, fire!”

The sound of arrows flying through the air echoed.
Akebus was readying his second shot.
”Okay! Everyone is allowed to shoot freely! If you shoot, you’ll hit! It’s great experience points!”
On top of the castle wall, Akebus had 5 arrows nocked and ready for his third shot.
Then, he drew his bow and shot at a slightly upward trajectory.
I couldn’t tell if the arrows struck, but all 5 arrows shot vigorously into the sky.
”Let any that approach the castle gate go. Aim for those spreading out to the sides!”
After Akebus fired ten shots, he signaled to me.
Receiving the signal, we unbolted and opened the castle gate.
The monsters who were trying to pry open the castle gates rushed in.
At the same time, I was completing the magic.
”Collect magic elements! Turn them into pebbles and defeat your enemies! ‘Stone Blast’!”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The goblins who had rushed in screamed as they were blown away by a Stone Blast the size of a baseball that shot out of the ground.
Some of them were hit directly by stones and their heads caved in.
”Aida! Clear out the area around the castle gate. After that, secure an escape route for us!”
”Understood. Let’s go everyone! “
The Aida team had begun their cleanup of the monsters that were gathered around the castle gates, having overcome a critically injured goblin.
Tap-tap-tap! Thud! Tap-tap-tap! Whoosh! Whoosh! Rat-a-tat!
The monsters trying to approach the castle gate became prey to the rapid-fire magic guns, creating a mountain of corpses.
”Kent. We should be able to secure the area around the castle gate soon! Are you ready?”
The Aida team was suppressing the goblins and kobolds gathered at the castle gate with the firepower of their magic guns.
The muzzle flashes from Elitzina and Dragunov were continuously lighting up the area around the castle gate.
Meanwhile, Milly shot a light orb into the air to illuminate the surroundings.
The figures of the monsters writhing in the dark night were revealed.
I was somewhat intimidated by the sheer number of monsters, but since I have competent allies and subordinates, I issued commands without fleeing.
”Stay close together and coordinate with each other in battle. Don’t isolate yourselves. Also, for those who participate in the vanguard assault, there will be special rewards if you survive! So, don’t die! Everyone, prepare to charge!”

I dashed toward the castle gate at the front of the group.
The enemies, already spread out in confusion after being hit by Akebus and the others’ volley of arrows, began to collect in the center.
There, from the opened castle gate, the monsters were being suppressed by the magic guns, reaching the peak of their confusion.
That’s when our vanguard team charged in.
I stab the goblin with my spear as it turns its back and tries to run away.
The goblin, pierced by the spear, let out a death cry and then stopped moving.
”Lord Kent. I will clear the area. Gather your magic elements (mana)! Turn them into fighting spirit and grant me power! ‘Mighty Strength’!”
Aurelia jumps out from behind me, activates a magic spell to strengthen her body, and is enveloped in a red light.
Then, she swung the Sword of the Diamond King at the two kobolds lined up in front of her, and cut them both in half.
”You’re still as good as ever, Aurelia. I’ll let you absorb as much magic element as you want today”
”Hehe… I’ll cut down about 200 of them today alone”
Aurelia, with her enhanced powers and natural skills, sliced through goblins, kobolds, and little boars (woolies) one after another, while a thick black mist poured out, blending into the night.
So scary!
Tomorrow, Aurelia’s sword might be emitting some strange light.
I need to be careful not to cross the line with sexual harassment…
I thought this while watching Aurelia fight.
And it was Lina who was fighting even more flamboyantly than Aurelia.
She had collapsed from magical exhaustion at the wedding in the morning, but during the ride to the eastern garrison, I used Mana Transfer to recover her magic to the point where she had a nosebleed.
Of course, it goes without saying that I replenished my own depleted magic through the [Sexual Recovery I] Skill using Lina’s own body in the carriage.
However, since a battle awaited us, I decided to suppress it in one shot and use magic recovery potions to make up for the shortfall.
After recovering her magic, Lina was more eager for enemies than Aurelia.
The moment we stepped outside the castle gate, she had completed her magic.
The magic she activated was ‘Fire Tornado.’
Three pillars of fire shot up ahead, intertwining and eventually forming a large tornado, engulfing the rushing bees and a Horn Rabbit that were present.
The fire tornado swept up the densely packed enemies, burning them to ashes.
After the fire tornado passed, the sight of charred monster corpses leaking magic elements could be seen.
”Ahaha! Monsters are like trash! Time to disinfect this filthy garbage!”
Lina made a dangerous remark and fired another fireball into the crowd of monsters.
Every time a fireball hits, pieces of goblin flesh, with their limbs torn off, rain down from the sky.
”Lina, please don’t use too much magic. I brought lots of magic stones and healing potions, but…”
”It’s okay. If worst comes to worst, I can have s*x with Kent and recover, so I’ll just be careful not to run out of magic.”
With that said, Lina activates a new fireball and attacks the crowded area.
Well, as Lina said, as long as I’m here, magic power will recover, so I’ll have them do their best unless they fall due to lack of magic power.
”Lord Kent, is it about time our infiltration team can join the fight? That kind of battle is making my blood boil.”
Giuliana, who came next to me, requested permission to attack.
Thanks to Lina’s magic, the monsters that had gathered around Aurelia and me were defeated, breaking them down into solitary or small groups.
The members of the infiltration team who are densely grouped will then spread from point to area to clean them up.
”It’s about time. Everyone, start your sweep! Fight within the range of the light ball Milly raised! Otherwise, you’ll get shot by your allies!”
