Kerstin was surprised when she was suddenly made the leader of the Hunting Group.
”Kerstin, huh? Well, I think everyone will follow her, right? I’ll mention it too.”
”Okay, once I finish moving and settle down, I’ll start it up. You can recruit new members from Giuliana’s group, so please select them.”
”Got it. I’ll ask Giu-Giu to introduce some good girls.”
Aida winked at Giuliana, who was sitting next to her.
The combat team, which could be called the private army of the Blackdagger family, has me at the top, with Milly, Akebus, Fristoph, and Giuliana as commanders.
Additionally, about 250 volunteers came from the local defense force stationed as reinforcements. 180 men were placed under Akebus, and 70 women joined Giuliana’s ‘Red Valkyrie.’
Members from Godard’s archers and ‘Red Valkyrie’ also showed significant growth due to the defense battles, so I had them lead the new party leaders and non-commissioned officers.
”Lord Kent, we’re busy accepting new members. Please don’t take too many veterans.”
”I know. Then, for a while, I don’t think there will be any big hunts, so please cooperate. Also, we plan to build a dormitory and training area just for ‘Red Valkyrie’ members. The Hunting Group will provide excellent facilities and treatment for new recruits. However, until it’s finished, we’ll be living in barracks.”
”Wow, that’s amazing. Are you planning to make ‘Red Valkyrie’ your private army, Lord Kent?”
”If anyone who has moved past being a beginner wants to join the military, they can join Fristoph’s army. If they want to be independent, they can do that too. ‘Red Valkyrie’ is just a support group for beginners.”
”Understood. There are a few people who want to be independent this time. I’ll also recommend them to the military. Of course, I’ll let them know that if they wait a bit, they will get nice dorms and training areas.”
Giuliana looked satisfied, promised a good environment for growth.
”My lord, what about the kingdom’s army? Right now, there are about 220 people, including 40 from Godard and 180 volunteers from the defense team… that’s less than one-tenth of the needed 2,500.”
”Well, we have to manage as best we can, Fristoph. Once we start developing the territory, more immigrants will come, and we’ll have to scout those people. The country and Abyss Vena won’t give us a single copper coin.”
”For a while, it looks like we’ll be sweating on the construction site.”
”Ah, please tell everyone about that. We won’t neglect defense, but we are seriously lacking in manpower.”
”Haha, I’ll tell everyone. The Blackdagger family believes that those who don’t work shouldn’t eat, and I’ll teach the soldiers that too. However, it would be nice if we could get some drinks after working.”
”Moderation is fine. I’ll leave that balance to Fristoph.”
”Haha, I’m grateful for that.”
Milly clapped her hands with Plap to gather everyone’s attention.
”We got a bit off track, but if there are any additional requests for the castle, I’ll accept them within 3 days. Now, let’s decide on the roles for the move.”
”And Giuliana and Veris, please take care of the cleaning in the annex. You can leave the materials and equipment as they are. Feria and the others will sort them out later.”
”Understood. We’ll start cleaning from Lady Giuliana’s office.”
”Alright, let’s call for some help.”
At my words, Giuliana and Veris bowed and quickly left the room.
”Mom, Helga, and Nannie, please go ahead to the base and start on the design and layout of the town.”
”Got it, Milly, Mom will do her best. Helga, Nannie, get on the carriage; we’ll leave right away. We’ll be working overnight starting today, so bring a change of underwear.”
””Yes, Ms. Lila.””
The 3 of them also quickly left the room.
”Feria, Talia, and Lana will handle the disposal of the Materials in the annex. Only the advanced-level Materials will be taken. Lana, if you need anything for mixing, make sure to secure it. And try to sell it for as high a price as possible. I’m counting on you, Feria.”
”Leave it to me! I won’t let the Hunter Guild see a single profit!”
”I think we need Materials for recovery potions and… maybe some for fatigue recovery.”
Feria and the others leave the room.
”Lina, Ines, Manon, Beatrice, Aida, Ulrika, and Reinhardt will handle the disposal of the furnishings in the main building. I’ll leave the magic tools to Lina. I’m calling Hector from the Vittoria shop, so make sure to sell them for a good price.”
”Got it, Elder Sister. I’ll squeeze them for all they’re worth, but not so much that the Vittoria shop goes bankrupt. Leave it to me. Everyone, let’s go!”
Lina leads the remaining 6 out of the room.
In the room, it was just me, Annabella, Milly, Aurelia, Kerstin, and Carly left.
”So, the remaining members will organize the forbidden storage. We don’t know what might pop out, so we will go in fully equipped for exploration.”
”Wait, Miriallia Blackdagger… why are we fully equipped for a storage room?”
”Well… there are suspicious equipment and items from other worlds, plus goods with concentrated magic elements packed in there. You can only enter freely near the entrance.”
”Is it really that dangerous? I hope my sword can handle whatever we face!”
”Yes, I plan to check everyone’s equipment too. During this defense battle, everyone leveled up quite a bit, right? If there are good weapons or armor, I want to distribute them.”
”──I’m buying this Golerg armor, so I guess I’ll look for a weapon.”
As I said that, Golerg walked in through the door.
It seems Milly had called for him.
”Hello, Little Lady Milly and friends. I hear you are getting rid of the mansion? The Abyss Vena is in chaos. Especially those who owe Little Lady Milly are very scared.”
”Oh come on, I’m not a debt collector, so I won’t take from those who have nothing. If you have it, I’ll ask for it back.”
”Well, I’m looking forward to seeing the treasures of the Blackdagger family. If you have anything you want to sell but can’t put on the market, I can take it off your hands.”
”I’m looking forward to it, Mr. Golerg.”
”Lady Miriallia, we don’t have much time, so shall we go?”
”You’re not saying there are giant rats or anything, right?”
”Who knows, Kent? I can’t tell what will come out.”
Everyone’s faces tightened at Milly’s threatening words.
