This morning’s service from Annabella was extremely satisfying.
Thanks to her, I’m feeling energized from the morning.
When I say energized, I don’t mean in a romantic way.
Yesterday, Hector from Vittoria Commercial came to the mansion again to appraise the magic tools we had left.
I decided to sort the magic tools with Milly, Lina, and Annabella, and had the other members pack their belongings.
When I opened the door to the living room, a middle-aged man approached me with a welcoming gesture.
”Ah, Sir Kent! It’s an honor to meet you again! I’m Hector from Vittoria Commercial, the store with the world’s best selection!”
It was Hector, the high-energy owner of Vittoria Commercial.
As usual, he was loud and full of energy.
”Thanks for coming again, I appreciate it”
”No problem, if I can get my hands on the Blackdagger family’s treasures, it’s worth the trouble”
”I’m glad to hear that. Today, I’d like to ask you to appraise and purchase the magic tools we took out of storage yesterday”
Hector looked at me with a troubled expression.
”I’d like to, but unfortunately, our store’s gold coins for settlement are running low…”
Then, Milly spoke up to Hector.
”Ah, I figured as much. We’ve secured our current funds, so we can do a consignment sale. If it sells, you can just deposit the money into our account”
”R-really?! If that’s the case, we’ll take everything! As I saw yesterday, the Blackdagger family has a lot of magic tools that collectors would drool over”
I proposed a deal to Hector, who was eager to take on the consignment.
”So, if we do a consignment sale, can you waive the appraisal fee?”
Hector was taken aback by my proposal.
I think he was planning to charge us for the appraisal.
”S-Sir Kent, that’s unreasonable! If we don’t get the appraisal fee, our shop will go bankrupt!”
”But Mr. Hector, if it’s a sales consignment, I don’t think there’s any risk for Vittoria shop…”
Annabella quietly pointed out Hector’s contradictions behind me.
”Even Ms. Annabella is saying such things… Are you trying to destroy our Vittoria shop!?”
”Then, there’s no choice but to call other traders from the capital. Milly, do you have any connections in the capital?”
”Um, a shop for magic tools? Maybe the Dorman family has some connections?”
”In the capital… the Ismael merchant guild or the Barben general merchant guild handle magic tools, and my papa has connections there…”
Hector, who had been listening to our conversation, began to look pale.
He was desperately calculating his options.

I’ll decide and dispose of such dangerous items.
It’s safer to store them in my secret vault so they don’t fall into the wrong hands and get misused.
Thus, the work of appraising and sorting the magic tools began.
At first, I decided to sort the magic tools by their status.
Half of the magic tools were out of order due to depleted magic stones, 30 percent were completely broken, and about 20 percent were still functional.
”Surprisingly, there are many functional items, Sir Kent. The ones with depleted magic stones can still work if the stones are replaced.”
”We’ve dived into ruins brought in by monsters and ancient ruins in the southern region several times. That’s why there are many complete items.”
At my words, Hector started by appraising the broken items.

While looking at the pile of damaged items, Hector kept pricing them one after another.
It seems there is a demand for parts to repair them, so even broken items have a decent price.

Annabella tilted her head while holding the heater that Lina had found.
Maybe she couldn’t picture it.
I’ll have her try it later to decide whether to install it, so let’s secure the heater for now.
Furthermore, Lina brought out a magic tool that makes housework easier.
What she brought was a square box as tall as Lina.
”Ms. Annabella, just put the laundry, water, and soap in here, and press this switch, and the washing will be done! Isn’t that amazing? It’s my first time seeing a complete one! I heard there’s one in His Majesty the Demon Lord’s castle.”
I understood right away when I heard Lina’s explanation.
It’s a washing machine.
I couldn’t help but confirm with Lina.
”Lina, that’s a washing machine, right?”
”Wow! You knew that, Kent? There are only ten of these rare magic tools left in the True Demon Kingdom, and it existed in your original world?”
”Well, something similar existed.”
”Sir Kent, washing by hand with a washboard is the basic skill of a maid. If you take the easy way out like this, you won’t become a proper maid.”
Annabella sounds like someone from the Showa era.
But once you experience the comfort of that (the washing machine), you won’t be able to forget it.
I decided to secure it for installation in the new house.
Lina continued to discover magic tools that reduce housework burdens, like vacuum cleaners, irons, and refrigerators.
Every time Annabella heard about each magic tool, she gasped in surprise.
For now, I’ll let her experience them all later.
Once she experiences them, it seems certain she’ll be captivated by the charm of those appliances.
”Sir Kent, will housework really become that easy with those magic tools?”
”Oh, it definitely will. The new castle we’re building is big. I plan to increase the number of maids, but I want Annabella and the others to have an easier time.”
”That’s right, Ms. Annabella. It’s okay to work Carly hard, but we can’t have you so tired that you can’t do Kent’s duties.”
While we were talking about the appliances we got, Hector, who had finished assessing the damaged items, came over.
”Sir Kent! The assessment of the damaged items is complete. We can take them for about 98 gold coins!”
”That’s pretty high for something broken.”
”There were many good status items and parts with low circulation mixed in, so I’m estimating a higher price. For now, I’ll buy the damaged items for cash. It’s my precious payment fund, but now is the time to use it.”

Hector had a slightly disappointed look on his face.
However, he gathered his energy and headed towards the pile of products that were out of magic power.
After a while of rummaging around, Hector brought me a magic tool.
Annabella and Milly went to see the magic tool that Lina had found.
Now, there was no one around me.
”Sir Kent… I found something good. This item is called ‘X-ray Glasses’…”
I quickly snatched the glasses from Hector, took off the ‘Illusion Glasses’, and put on the ‘X-ray Glasses’.
With hope, I turned to Milly and the others.
In front of me were 3 skeletons.
It really is ‘X-ray Glasses’… I can see the effect!
But it’s showing me things I didn’t want to see!
I shook my head while grabbing Hector’s shoulder.
”Hector… you’re seeing too much… that’s not it… what I want to see is… no, I don’t have such advanced tastes…”
”Sir Kent, you can’t see what you want because you don’t listen to my explanation until the end. You can adjust the x-ray vision by turning the knob on the edge of the glasses. If you stop at your preferred setting, you should be able to see what you desire.”
After hearing Hector’s explanation, I turned the knob on the edge of the glasses towards me.
In front of me, Milly and the others changed from skeletons to being completely n*ked.
At that moment, I hugged Hector.
”I can see it! I can see it! Hector!”
