”Your Excellency Kent, the Estfort Army is ready to depart with 300 men.”
Kondrad announced, standing before the lined-up troops, informing me that they were prepared for battle.
”Well done on the preparations. We’re here to support General Gertroud. I’ll leave the command to Kondrad. Secure the surrounding area.”
”Support General Gertroud? Has he already set out? But he’s not one to act recklessly…”
Kondrad, who had been partners with General Gertroud for many years, seemed concerned about his superior’s impulsive behavior.
”It seems that hearing about my departure has sparked his competitive spirit.”
Kondrad crossed his arms and appeared deep in thought.
”Competitive with Your Excellency Kent… He’s never been one to be swayed by such things before… Perhaps those around him have influenced him…”
”Anyway, our army’s primary objective is to rescue General Gertroud. The secondary goal is to secure the area around the crack of the space and time, and the third is to defeat the ‘another world monster’ that has appeared outdoors. I entrust the command of the army to you, Kondrad. I’m counting on you.”
”Yes, sir! We will support General Gertroud and accomplish all objectives!”
Kondrad bowed deeply, turned back to the troops, and gave the order.
”From now on, we will march towards the blockade of the crack of the space and time that has appeared southwest of Abyss Vena. As there’s a possibility that the Southern Task Force, which set out ahead of us, might be annihilated, we’ll move at a quick pace! And, Ane!”
”Yes, sir!”
Ane stepped forward at the sound of her name.
”Ane’s cavalry unit will take the lead. After reaching the battlefield, make securing General Gertroud’s safety your top priority. Find him and get him out of there, no matter what. Be a little rough if you have to.”
”Ha! I understand. General Gertroud will definitely leave. Now, our cavalry will start.”
Ane saluted in the Kingdom’s military style, placing a hand over her chest, and led her 30 cavalry soldiers, kicking up dust as they marched out.
After seeing Ane off, Kondrad turned to the remaining troops and gave the command.
”Alright, Estfort Army, move out!”
The soldiers marched past me with a rhythmic stomping sound, their faces tense and determined.
Once they had all passed, I made my way towards the hunting carriage.

”The army has set off. Our task will begin after they secure the area, but we might assist them in securing the perimeter depending on the situation. Be ready.”
I briefed the members of ‘Crimson Bride’ and ‘Black Bullet’ who had gathered at the hunting carriage after seeing the army’s departure.
”Mr. Kent, is it true that we’ll receive a special reward for sealing the crack of the space and time?”
Feria asked with a serious expression.
”The special reward will be provided by my father-in-law, but it seems it will only be given to the party that seals the space-time crack.”
”Oh, only the party that seals the crack? But this time, we’re dealing with an ‘another world monster’. Isn’t there some kind of danger allowance or something?”
Feria inquired, having heard about the nature of the enemy.
Feria’s request for a danger allowance was something that would make any clerk from Lila’s bureaucratic corps snap, but I intended to grant it.
”Feria, how much do the materials from ‘another world monster’s’ usually sell for?”
”Well, small ones go for about 3 large silver coins, medium ones for 7 large silver coins, and large ones for 7 gold coins.”
Feria replied without hesitation, stating the selling prices of the materials.
It had a much higher Transaction value than monster.
Their hard skins and wings are apparently in high demand in the royal capitals and Abyss Vena, as equipment materials and building frameworks.
”Alright, let’s use the materials obtained from hunting ‘another world monster’s within the spacetime cracks as funds for our survival rewards. But remember, don’t die. Retreat immediately if it gets dangerous. I can’t stress this enough to everyone. With the top 3 hunting groups from Abyss Vena on the case, I don’t think we need to aim for closure.”
”Understood. I’ll aim for a reasonable survival reward. I don’t want to die before giving birth to and raising Mr. Kent’s child.”
Feria stood next to me, her chest pressed against me in a rather obvious manner.
The stares from the other members were intense.
”Feria… Your chest feels amazing, but… I feel like I’m sitting on a bed of needles here…”
Suddenly, Lina’s flying knee strike landed a clean hit on my side.
Since I wasn’t wearing my armor yet, a dull pain took my breath away.
”Ugh… Lina… Easy with the knees…”
”Kent! Stop ogling Feria’s breasts! Many of the ‘another world monster’s are strong, so stay alert! They’ll prey on any living thing. If you’re not careful, you might get eaten alive!”
”Mr. Kent, it’s okay! Lina, you went too far. Apologize.”
Lana scolded Lina.
”It’s fine. But as a consequence, after we finish the hunt, you and Lina will be held jointly responsible for calming him down. Be prepared for that.”
”O-Okay… I’ll do whatever it takes! Just don’t die, Kent!”
”Lina, it’s alright. Even if Mr. Kent is at death’s door, I can revive him. As long as it’s not instant death, we’ll be fine.”
Lana’s words were a bit unsettling, but I’m content with this life, so I have no intention of dying.
We’ll leave the strategy to the veteran hunting groups; our focus will be on hunting the smaller ‘another world monster’s.
”Lana, be careful. The magic element is significantly weaker inside the Crack, making it harder for magic to activate. I suggest you bring extra magic stones.”
Milly, an experienced Monster Hunter who has sealed the Crack in Time numerous times, suggested bringing a large number of magic stones as a strategy for conquering it.
Her advice should be heeded.
”As Milly said, Talia, Lana, Veris, and Lina, who are magic users, must carry magic stones with them.”
”Yes.”
”Alright, Milly, is there anything else we should be aware of?”
Milly tilted her head, deep in thought.
”Well, it’s safer not to touch any items lying around inside the Crack. There might be traps. I remember once, when I went to seal another Crack, one of the parties that entered with us tried to pick up a sword that was lying on the ground, and they were all wiped out by countless spears that fell from above. It happened right before my eyes. So, don’t touch anything lying around, and if you must pick something up, check for traps first.”
The members of the group murmured among themselves after hearing Milly’s words.
”So, there are traps… and they sound vicious…”
”Just be cautious about that, and we’ll be fine. Now, let’s go and earn some money. We still need a lot for Estfort’s development.”

After Milly’s briefing, the members boarded the carriage.
’Black Bullet’ also had their own hunting carriage, and they boarded that.
