After being drained of my vitality by Milly all night, I had already passed 3 nights without sleep and was entering the 4th.
In these 4 days, I had slept a total of about 2 hours.
”Kent… I’m so happy to have a full serving──meow meow…”
Next to me, Milly, who had transformed into an even more beautiful woman thanks to the vitality she had sucked from me, was sleeping soundly with a satisfied expression.
In the end, Milly declared she was done after about 20 rounds, but by then the night had already ended.
Oh, the morning sun is burning my eyes!
The rays of the morning sun streaming through the window reset my drowsiness, almost like a magical trigger.
The heavy sleepiness that had been raging suddenly vanished.
I got out of bed and headed to the bath for a morning wash.

I ran into Ulrika in the hallway, carrying some clothes.
”Ulrika, what’s the plan for today?”
”Yes, today we have a lunch meeting scheduled with Lord Rosenkreuz at Sir Arbalest’s mansion. I’ve been told the afternoon is free time.”
Ulrika smoothly recited my schedule for the day.
Normally, I would wait until after the morning activities to ask, but since I was being drained by Milly, I decided to ask ahead of time.
”A lunch meeting, huh… I have some things I want to discuss with my father-in-law, so I’ll head to the castle early. Ulrika, sorry, but I need to take a bath now, so please get everything ready.”
”Oh, yes. Please wait a moment. I’ll prepare right away.”
Ulrika blushed and nodded.
I think that when I ask for a bath preparation, I’ll be asked to have a pretty intense service, so Ulrika hurriedly ran out to get ready.
Then I brought Ulrika into the bathroom and forgot about the fatigue of staying up all night, and when I was satisfied, I was able to wash my body beautifully and enjoy the morning bath.
After finishing breakfast, I had my carriage take me to my father-in-law’s castle to attend the luncheon.
This time, I had invited Kondrad, who had grown close to Lord Rosenkreuz, to join us.

”Kent… you’re here surprisingly early… I’d expect you to always arrive at the last minute. Are you more interested in Lord Rosenkreuz than having lunch with me?”
My father-in-law was lounging on the sofa in his private room, sending me a meaningful look.
”Well, Kondrad’s report made Lord Rosenkreuz’s fighting style clear. Gwain seems to treat him as a prized general, but my intelligence network says Lord Rosenkreuz himself isn’t completely loyal to Gwain.”
Lord Rosenkreuz, who had come up in my father-in-law’s conversation, was a rising star general who Gwain had chosen for the recent Gertroud suppression.
He was a talented individual from a noble family who graduated top of his class from the military academy.
Gwain, feeling the inadequacy of the general he had recruited through connections, sent Lord Rosenkreuz to the South District hoping to turn the tide in the war.
At first, I thought he might be another incompetent general, but Kondrad, stationed in Nolans, was impressed by Lord Rosenkreuz’s skill in the Ghost Clan extermination and rated him as a top-tier [best] general.
”Excellent… If he weren’t my brother’s subordinate, I’d recruit him myself. This time, I’ll let you have him. What about his troops? They’re a new unit, so their combat proficiency needs improvement.”
”I want the whole unit. At the very least, I want to recruit Lord Rosenkreuz’s direct troops. He commands 5 hundred female soldiers as his personal guard. Plus, the overall ratio of female soldiers in the army is high, so I intend to recruit any competent soldiers I can.”
”He’s an Incubus, right? Are you sure about this?”
My father-in-law cautioned me about Lord Rosenkreuz’s Incubus nature.
”…Reports say he only invites certain women to his quarters. And they say he isn’t very interested in women.”
”Hmm… so you’ve already looked into this much… do you have a plan to pull the strings?”
”According to the information I gathered, his brother was executed by Gwain, and he’s reportedly looking for supporters to place his brother’s young child as the head of the Rosenkreuz family. I was thinking I could step up as a supporter.”
”A supporter, huh… But Kent is virtually unknown in the capital, despite having money…”
”…I’ve already established connections with influential nobles who oppose Gwain in the capital. It seems Gwain’s position is shaky, and he likely has many enemies.”
My father-in-law was surprised to hear that I already had connections with the nobles in the capital.
”I can’t believe Kent is socializing with nobles in the capital… Those guys despise Kent; they’re just parasites sucking the life out of the country without lifting a finger.”
”I’m choosing nobles with integrity. There are plenty of corrupt nobles out there, but some are genuinely earnest. However, the serious ones often struggle financially, so I’m assisting them.”
My father-in-law pondered over my reply.
Then, he spoke up.
”…I see… There aren’t many influential nobles with integrity. When it comes to families that can withstand my brother’s pressure, the options are quite limited… If my brother casts suspicion on them, they intend to relocate to the South District.”
”Well, that’s also part of the plan. I intend to convince them to seek Lord Rosenkreuz’s support.”
My father-in-law let out a deep sigh.
”Haah… When Kent gets motivated, he’s quite something… If my brother had sent one of his daughters to Kent, he could’ve easily taken control of the kingdom…”
“I’m not someone who can get along with Gwain. But if my father-in-law were to take Gwain’s position instead, I’d be more than happy to offer my assistance.”
”I’m a warrior at heart, so I have no interest in brother’s position. Just thinking about it makes my stomach turn.”
”I thought you might say that. By the way, I have another matter to discuss with you… a very troubling issue that requires privacy…”
As I said that, my father-in-law gestured for the guards to leave.
Soon, it was just me and my father-in-law in the room.
”So, what’s this other matter? You must have a pressing reason to request such privacy.”
I straightened up and decided to discuss the matter of Gertroud with my father-in-law.
”Father-in-law… actually, General Gertroud, who recently staged a coup, has been possessed.”
”Gertroud has been possessed? By whom?”
”Perhaps it’s the original Demon Lord Orphée Bleu inside him…”
My Father-in-law’s face turned to one of astonishment upon hearing the name I mentioned.
”Don’t be absurd. While it’s true that Gertroud had grown stronger, there’s no way the person inside him is Demon Lord Orphée Bleu. In fact, he didn’t use any magic at all. The original Demon Lord is a hero who defeated the fierce warriors of the magic continent and built the Kingdom. It’s impossible for someone with Gertroud’s level of strength.”
”But during the New Year’s festival, he introduced himself to me as ‘the lost divine name, God of Pleasure and Lust Orphée Bleu’.”
”The lost divine name is God of Pleasure and Lust Orphée Bleu… For someone like Gertroud to know Demon Lord Orphée Bleu’s divine name… Could it be, it’s really him after all…”
”However, it seemed that his powers were significantly sealed. Perhaps he can’t unleash the Demon Lord’s powers due to some kind of restraint. Still, he’s after my body. My body was originally meant to be the vessel for Orphée Bleu’s soul.”
I conveyed my suspicions to my Father-in-law.
”…Kent’s body was created to be the vessel for Demon Lord Orphée Bleu’s transmigration… Then why didn’t he come to kill you? He wouldn’t be able to obtain the vessel that is Kent’s body otherwise.”
”That’s what I find strange as well… This time, he’s attacking Gwain’s army and expanding his territory while advancing north…”
”Is he planning to secure soldiers and supplies and then launch a rapid southern campaign…”
”I considered that too, but I don’t understand the reason for confronting Gwain…”
Both my Father-in-law and I were unable to decipher the meaning behind Orphée Bleu’s actions.
”Speculating won’t get us anywhere. We must increase the defenses of our territories near the Demon God Emperor’s border…”
”…I’ve only discussed Gertroud’s situation with my father-in-law, and I don’t intend to talk about it with anyone else.”
”…So you’re not going to tell Milly…”
”If Milly finds out that Gertroud is after my body, there’s a real chance she’ll try to take matters into her own hands and go for an assassination. And if the concubines catch wind of it, they’ll undoubtedly go after me too… That would play right into Gertroud’s hands.”
”I see… then I’ll keep this conversation to myself. Kent, don’t let your guard down. Even if he’s weakened, he’s still a person who founded a nation.”
”I understand.”
*Knock knock!*
The sound of someone knocking on the door accompanied Kondrad’s voice.
”Lord Kent, Margrave Heido. Lord Rosenkreuz has arrived, and he’d like to start the lunch meeting.”
”Ah, sorry about that. I’ll be right there with my father-in-law.”
”…It’s Lord Rosenkreuz now. First, I should take care of this.”
”That’s right.”
I headed with my father-in-law to the location of the lunch meeting.

When we arrived, Lord Rosenkreuz was already seated.
He was a handsome man with a charming appearance, sporting androgynous features and his hair tied back at shoulder length.
A handsome guy… no doubt about it… as expected of an Incubus… his looks are exceptional.
I felt just a bit envious of Lord Rosenkreuz’s appearance.
”Today, I’ve invited you to lunch in hopes of deepening our friendship. I sincerely appreciate your visit. This young man here is my son, Kent Blackdagger. You’ve probably heard various rumors about him, and most of them are true.”
My father-in-law introduced me to Lord Rosenkreuz.
”So it’s true that you have over 20 concubines, hundreds of lovers, and thousands of candidates, right?”
*Hah!*
So that rumor is out there.
”Cough cough, Lord Rosenkreuz, you’re so harsh… while that’s true… but I see you surround yourself with women as well, don’t you?”
”…How rude! I don’t control women like Lord Blackdagger does! They serve me! I demand a correction! Don’t compare me to your concubines!”
Lord Rosenkreuz stood up from his chair, his anger evident.
Oops, did I make him mad?
”Come now, Lord Rosenkreuz, calm down. Kent didn’t mean any harm. How about we settle this with a duel, just between us, and let my face off the hook?”
Huh?
Father-in-law!?
Father-in-law poured fuel on the tense atmosphere between the two of us.
”Alright then! I accept that duel! Lord Blackdagger, don’t you dare run!”
”Hey, wait a minute!”
”Good, let’s settle this before dinner. I’ll lend you the backyard. Go sort it out.”
Father-in-law pushed me and Lord Rosenkreuz out to the backyard, laughing, and then tossed in 2 swords with blunted edges for the ceremony before locking the door behind us.
”Kent Blackdagger! Now, let’s have a proper match!”
Charl was ready to fight, his enthusiasm palpable.
