Volume 6 Chapter 5 Gertroud’s Stupid Actions
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
*Gertroud’s Perspective
Two weeks had passed since we occupied Occlair’s castle, and the date for the announced hunt for women had arrived.
Young women and wives who saw the proclamation fled to the mountain fort, but the entrance was already sealed. The only way out was to climb the steep cliffs, and most of them gave up, returning home in despair. The ones trapped inside were filled with trepidation.
”Sir Gertroud, it seems everyone who participated in the first wave of the hunt can choose one woman each.”
My aide spoke as I adjusted my gear in the plaza.
”Yeah. Anyone who fought in the capture of Occlair—soldiers and officers alike—can make their choice. I’m generous with rewards. The more they achieve in my army, the more female slaves they can obtain. They can trade them, keep them for themselves, or lend them out freely. My army’s rules are simple. Those who fight and survive are rewarded. The dead are discarded. If they want wealth and power, they must fight and survive.”
”Y-You’re quite impressive…”
Three hundred noblewomen, maids brought from the south, female soldiers, and captured women from the checkpoint had already been distributed after the orgy in Occlair’s garden. The higher-ranking men were allowed first pick, marking their ownership by piercing the women’s ears with metal tags.
Still, there weren’t enough women, and some soldiers ended up with nothing.
”Those left without will fight all the harder in the next battle.”
”That’s right. Once the new recruits finish training, I plan to send them straight to the campaign against the Baron Roland family. They’re starving for women after undergoing training that leaves them gasping for breath.”
The new recruits in Occlair’s territory were mostly single men without families. Their training was harsh—unbearable for some. So far, about 120 had died. But I had no intention of easing it.
If they couldn’t endure training, they had no chance on the battlefield. The weak would die regardless, and I had no sympathy for them.
”Sir Gertroud, all participants for the hunt are gathered.”
”Oh, is that so?”
A different officer approached, confirming that the roll call was complete.
In the plaza, three hundred soldiers and officers stood in formation. Their faces burned with anticipation.
”All right, we’re going on a hunt for women! Each squad, go grab your target! If the woman’s family or husband resists, kill them! But it’s one woman per person—got it? I love breaking rules, but I hate it when my rules are broken! Be back by evening! Now, go!”
”””Ohhh──!”””
With a deep roar, the soldiers scattered like hunting dogs, vanishing into the town in pursuit of their prey.
As for me, I had already secured the wives and concubines of Occlair. But this body I inhabited had its limits—it lacked the [Sexual Prowess] Skill. If I overindulged, my lifespan would shorten. I had to practice restraint.
Even so, I had a weakness for beautiful women.
I turned to my guards. “Shall we?”
”Yes.”
And with that, we headed into the town.

The town was alive with chaos.
Soldiers and officers ran through the streets, carrying struggling women in their arms.
Men lay dead where they had stood—husbands, fathers, and brothers who dared to resist. Their blood soaked the cobblestones, useless sacrifices against the inevitable.
The soldiers had been given free rein to take whatever woman they desired. Their choices varied—young girls, married women, mature ladies, even those who looked barely of age.
”Everyone’s really picking their type, huh? Well, can’t blame them.”
”We were a bit late to the party. The best picks are mostly gone. Some squads have even pushed into the outskirts, hoping to find something untouched.”
”They’re taking a gamble. Might get lucky and find a gem—or end up with scraps.” I turned to the men assigned to guard me. “What about you?”
The squad leader stepped forward. He was the same man I had rewarded with a woman after we took the castle.
”Yes, sir. We’ve already secured a woman. We’d like to go retrieve her now, if that’s fine with you.”
They had planned ahead.
When I pressed for details, he explained. Knowing their escort duties would delay them, they had scouted early. Their chosen women had been hidden away in an abandoned house, kept captive, sampled daily, and saved for this moment.
It was cheating, technically.
But I admired their resourcefulness. In the end, it was a free-for-all.
I granted the squad leader’s request, and we set off for their hideout.

The abandoned house stood in a once-prosperous residential district near the castle. It didn’t look like a ruin—there were signs of recent habitation.
The house had belonged to one of the women they had taken. Her husband was dead, buried in a mass grave. The house, now empty, had become a prison. The squad had used it to hold their captives, taking turns with them as they pleased.
Inside, several women sat in the living room, dressed in lingerie and chained collars.
They no longer resisted. Some even approached their captors, seeking attention like broken pets.
”Oh, you’ve done well,” I said, scanning the room. “And you’ve picked some decent ones. Did you start searching right after the takeover?”
”Yes,” the squad leader replied. “That girl you gave me was useful. She knew all about the vassal families of Occlair, so I picked out some beauties efficiently. Would you like to have a taste, Sir Gertroud?”
He pulled on a chain, bringing forward a woman in her twenties from the Majin Clan.
Even for a rural noble’s daughter, she was well-bred, with a refined look that set her apart.
”No, that’s fine,” I said. “She’s yours. I won’t take another man’s prey.”
”I see… Well, if you ever change your mind, just say the word. I don’t mind sharing.”
”Once I regain my full strength, maybe.”
”Haha…”
We left the house, leading the newly captured women toward the castle.
The streets remained chaotic. Soldiers still roamed, hauling back their prizes, while those who had finished were already branding their new property.
By the time we reached the plaza, women were being lined up, their ears pierced with ownership tags. Some wept, some screamed, and some—those who tried to bite their tongues—were gagged to prevent them from taking the easy way out.
They would soon be moved to Occlair’s mansion gardens, their fates sealed.
With 300 new female slaves acquired, I saw an opportunity.
The fresh recruits were still starving for women. I would use this to fuel their hunger. Our next target was Baron Roland in the east—a weak, insignificant lord. I would combine 300 new recruits with 100 soldiers from the last battle, making a force of 400 men.
If they performed well, they would be rewarded with the women of Roland’s lands.
I had also heard that the Garuda Clan there had many minotaur women. For those with a taste for big-breasted beasts, it would be paradise.

Three days after departing from Occlair, we arrived at the border of the Roland Barony.
We had moved quickly, pushing our forces hard. Alongside my army, I had brought along the retainers of a small lord who had once neighbored Occlair’s territory.
They had feared me after I crushed Occlair.
Yet, like fools, they had still underestimated me.
Now, they would regret it.
