Since I finished with a sword, the Swordsman job is now unlocked.
”It’s here! It’s here! Here it comes! Three in a row!! Swordsman, here I come!!!”
”As expected of my Lord. One after another, so different from ordinary people… Ah, wonderful. I must definitely receive an offspring… That is the duty of a prophet like myself.”
Carly was watching me fight and her expression became ecstatic.
Then she ended up sitting cross-legged on the ground.
I think she… maybe… lost it.
”Carly! Don’t just… freak out in the middle of battle!”
I sneak up behind Carly, who’s sitting cross-legged, and start chanting at the Land Jellyfish behind her.
”Gather, magic elements! Become flame and pierce your enemy! Fire Arrow!”
Flame explodes from my outstretched palm, taking the form of an arrow, and pierces the core of the Land Jellyfish behind Carly.
The Land Jellyfish, with its core destroyed, erupts in black smoke and bursts into flames.

You can cast magic even if you lose your job.
However, casting a Fire Arrow without a job consumed more than half of my mana bar.
If even Beginner-level magic consumes that much, casting Intermediate-level or higher without a job would be suicide.
”Alright! Here I come! Magician, let’s go!!!”
”Mr. Kent! That was cool! Do it again! Please fight with that next!”
Feria, who was detecting enemies in the air, throws Beatrice’s spear down.
BOOM!
The spear slams into the ground, and I pull it out, searching for the next target.
”Aaah! The monsters are scared! Come on! Let’s fight!”
”Kent has Hero Syndrome! Somebody stop him! Somebody stop Kent!”
Milly screamed as she rushed towards me, panic etched on her face.
Without missing a beat, I zeroed in on my next target: a land jellyfish.
With a swift thrust of my spear, I drove the tip straight into its core.
The jellyfish writhed, oozing a little bit of its bodily fluid, before it let out a thick cloud of black mist and finally succumbed, its glow fading into darkness.
──Job acquired [Scout].
──Skill point increased by 1.
──Job bonus: Agility increased.
──Spearsmanship I skill unlocked.
──Ambush Prevention I skill unlocked.
──Detection I skill unlocked.
──Exploration I skill unlocked.
”That wild fighting style… it’s the reincarnation of Demon Lord Orphée Bleu… no, right now he’s Sir Kent. Yes, he’s the one I should be serving──Sir Kent Blackdagger.”
Flamil stood frozen, captivated by my movements as if under a spell.
”Flamil! Quit spacing out in the middle of a battlefield! You’ll get yourself killed!”
I scooped up Flamil, dodging the thrust of a tentacle, and raised my shield to deflect the incoming attack.
With her face flushed and her weight leaning against me, Flamil seemed to blend embarrassment with gratitude.
”I-I’m so sorry. Sir Kent is just so dashing… I couldn’t help it.”
I set Flamil down in a safe spot, clenched my fist, and approached the jellyfish that still had its tentacles out, ready for action.
I unleashed a straight punch.
With a *CRUNCH*, the jellyfish’s core shattered upon impact.
My fist had pierced right through the jellyfish’s weak point.
”Filthy jellyfish. Now my hands are all dirty.”
──Job acquired [Fist Fighter].
──Skill point increased by 1.
──Job bonus: Agility increased.
──Fist Fighting I skill unlocked.
──Iron Fist skill unlocked.
──Fighting Spirit Technique skill unlocked.
Even I had to admit, it was a bit odd that my combat job was unlocking after such a streak of lower-level battles.
But the envy to keep snagging combat jobs was just too irresistible.
”Whoaaaa! I’m getting [Fist Fighter] next!”
”Sir Kent, use this──nya!”
Manon tossed over a bow and arrows.
I nocked an arrow and took aim at the fleeing Land Jellyfish, letting loose a single shot.
The arrow flew straight, piercing the core and shattering it to pieces.
”As expected of Sir Kent──nya! You nailed it in one shot──nya!”
Manon wagged her tail, delighted.
She was probably thrilled about the ability boost from my spree of combat job acquisitions, seeing me as a strong male figure.

”K-Kent… again?”
Milly looked at me, her face a mix of disbelief and curiosity.
”Ms. Milly. Unfortunately, I’ve got [Hunter] now!”
”No way! That’s just one D-rank monster down! I’ve never heard of such a thing!”
Even for a veteran monster hunter like Milly, my absurd rate of job acquisition seemed impossible.
Whether it was interference from the Yandere God (Sazukrain) or some sort of title-related trade-off, I wasn’t sure.
But for now, I was grateful for the combat ability boost.
”One more!”
I charged at the last remaining Land Jellyfish, drawing the Dragunov from my hip holster.
Closing the distance in a flash, I shoved the muzzle against the creature’s torso and pulled the trigger in rapid succession.
Click, click, click!
Though lighter than Elitzina’s shot, the bullet shattered the core and stopped the Land Jellyfish’s life functions.

”Hmph, shot a boring thing.”
”Impossible… You wiped them all out…Kent…”
Milly looked like she couldn’t believe I’d completely destroyed the Land Jellyfish.
I just intended to kill a few, but I got carried away after acquiring the new job.
”Lady Miriallia. As you can see, Sir Kent is acquiring jobs at an abnormal speed-nya. Plus, considering he’s acquiring new jobs in such a short time, it seems like some incredible power is at work-nya. It would be a loss for the South District to keep someone like this confined within the castle-nya.”
Manon was trying to get me to train harder, and she was pushing Milly to do it.
I also thought that if I could acquire jobs this easily, I should level up quickly and unlock higher-tier jobs.
With more jobs, my secondary jobs would grow slower, but if I kept slaying monsters, my overall level and skills would improve naturally.
”I agree. Sir Kent. Do you use Healing Magic?”
Flamil agreed with Manon and asked if I could use Healing Magic.
”Sure. Just in time. Let’s heal Manon’s elbow scratch. Gather magic element (Mana)! Become healing and close the wound! First Aid!”
A faint light emanated from my palm, and Manon’s elbow scratch began to close.
And then, the log appeared.

──Barrier Magic I has been unlocked.”
”Looks like some kind of power is at work here. I got my job classes immediately. Back when I was in Estfort, I couldn’t even acquire a single job no matter how much magic I used, but now that I’m in the Southern Region, I’ve picked up 9 all at once!”
”To think you could gain 9 job classes just like that… Even if they’re all lower-level combat classes, it feels too easy. Lina would faint if she heard this!”
”Miriallia Blackdagger! My lord has transcended to an existence beyond the Demon Lord Orphée Bleu. There’s nothing to be surprised about! My lord, allow me to soothe your restless body after battle using my own!”
Carly snuggled up to me, intertwining her arms with mine.
Even after giving birth to my child, her body maintained its incredible figure, radiating a newfound confidence that made her even more alluring than before.
”Ah, Ms. Carly. We’re in the middle of a hunt right now, so let’s keep it clean, alright? I promise I’ll pamper you properly later tonight.”
Trying to shake off Carly’s temptations, I carefully unwrapped her arms from around me.
”Oh come on! My lord! They say that after hunting monsters, men need to embrace women, or else they might suffer from magic element intoxication! So, before you get all worked up… ugh!”
Milly’s iron fist hit Carly right in the stomach as she attempted to seduce me by taking off her equipment.
”Even though we’ve reserved this hunting ground, we can’t undress in public! Plus, Carly, you’re the high priestess of the Church of Kent! If the leader of the church is seen as an exhibitionist, Kent will be embarrassed!”
”Miriallia Blackdagger! Although I’m holding back because my lord wants you as his legitimate wife, you should be grateful just to sit next to someone like him──Tough and resilient woman!”
”Kiiiii! Who are you calling a crybaby? If Kent hadn’t insisted on having me here for Rivière, I would have sold you off to some wealthy pig noble while you were drowning in debt!”
A fight broke out between Carly and Milly over me, and it quickly turned into a full-blown struggle.
It seemed the two of them were like oil and water, always ending up in these situations whenever they were together.
Milly, who usually stayed calm and collected with everyone, couldn’t hold back when it came to Carly.
If it was just a simple scuffle, it wouldn’t be a problem, but both of them were elite S-Class Hunters, masters in Monster Hunting, which meant things could escalate quickly and we needed to stay alert.
”Hold it right there! If you two keep fighting, I’ll have to suspend both of you from duty for a week as punishment!”
The moment they heard “suspend from duty for a week,” both of their movements came to an abrupt halt.
They stopped wrestling and, without a word, shook hands.
Just then, Feria and Beatrice, who had been scouting from above, descended to join us.
”Aww, if Ms. Miriallia and Ms. Carly are getting suspended, I could’ve had all the affection to myself!”
”Well, Bea can still get plenty of love even with them around!”
”Feria, Beatrice. Are there no enemies nearby?”
I called out to the two who had just landed.
”No signs of enemies in the area! But more importantly, Bea is hungry! I demand food from Kent!!”
We had left Godard early in the morning to come to the Hunting Ground, and after finishing up the battle, it was already close to noon.
”Is that so? Already that time… Well, let’s whip up some lunch.”
”Right. As for the situation with Kent, so far, there’s been no real damage, so we can think about it later. Now, let’s get ready; Feria, Ines, Flamil, come help me!”
Milly gathered the 3 of them and headed back toward the hunting wagon.
The reason Milly hadn’t called Carly was partly because she didn’t like her, but mostly because Carly had a catastrophic lack of Housework Skills.
With that in mind, I decided to gather materials with Carly, Manon, and Beatrice.
It looks like this is going to be a long one, so I’ll split it into 2 parts.
Kent is experiencing a fever status.

Crystal Rhino – Hunt Rank: C
Type: Animal.
This rhino boasts a skin made of crystallized quartz.
Its hard crystal hide deflects slashing and piercing attacks.
Only powerful blunt attacks can deal any damage to it.
With its crystal horn, it launches Sudden Rush attacks, making it possible for even veteran hunters to get seriously hurt if they aren’t careful.
Land Jellyfish – Hunt Rank: D
Type: Terrestrial.
These jellyfish drift along the land.
They are sensitive to variations in magical elements, instinctively gathering in areas where magic is abundantly released.
Unless the luminescent core──their weak spot──is destroyed, they continuously absorb magic from the atmosphere and regenerate.
Their tentacles can release a toxin that paralyzes the body.
