Volume 9 Chapter 1 The Season Of Schemes – Part I
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”This one has such beautiful nipples. They’re already so perky. I wonder if you’re getting turned on by all the attention.”
She gently caressed the new slave girl’s nipples with a feathered fan.
”H-Hnnn… Please, stop… Please, stop it!”
The girl’s nipple was twisted by her finger as punishment for speaking out.
”I don’t appreciate slaves who talk back. Remember that.”
”N-Nooo! I’m sorry! It’s going to tear! It’s going to rip off!”
The girl, with a collar around her neck, couldn’t withstand the nipple stimulation and her knees shook violently, but she was supported on both sides by other n*ked slaves in the same predicament, preventing her from falling completely.
This girl also had protruding nipples and hair… Am I the only one with this peculiar shape?
Feeling a twinge of jealousy towards the n*ked slaves, she returned to her room to change her mood.
As she entered her room, she sensed someone’s presence.
”Who’s in my room? Show yourself!”
The curtain rustled, and a man in a deep hooded robe appeared.
”…Lord Sven?”
”Lady Lucy, you might be going a bit too far. Various parties are starting to take notice. It would be appreciated if you could exercise some restraint until the coup is successful. The military faction has also managed to unite many dissatisfied elements. We’re almost ready to set the stage ablaze.”
Sven was the head of an intelligence agency, known for eliminating numerous nobles as Gwain’s right-hand man.
However, with the expulsion of Gwain’s faction from the capital city, the spy organization had weakened. Sensing an opportunity, he reached out to me, who had been expanding my influence within the kingdom.
Gwain’s star may have been fading, but he still held enough power to shake the kingdom. I had been using his organization to enhance my own standing within the kingdom.
”Lord Sven, I believe that having more funds can only be beneficial for our cause. We need more to fulfill our long-cherished dream.”
The BlackBerry House may have a brief history as Nobility.
My grandfather amassed a fortune as a businessman, funneling a considerable sum to a trusted aide of the Demon Lord of the time, earning our title, yet it was said we hailed from a lowly lineage.
My father seemed to struggle in various ways, but ultimately, he met his end during the Gertroud Rebellion, struck down by a stray arrow in a most undignified manner.
However, I am different.
I am the chosen one, equipped with the intelligence, insight, and talent to lead this True Demon Kingdom.
There should never be an incompetent like Aldo holding the position of Chancellor in the True Demon Kingdom.
Should I rise to the role of Chancellor, I am confident in my ability to skillfully maneuver even the most eccentric figures, such as King Kent, King Fabulanova, King Rashid, Gwain, and Chief Nokin.
”Lady Lucy, do be ever vigilant of your surroundings. This coup d’état hinges upon your involvement.”
”I understand.”
”Then, I shall say no more.”
With that final remark, Sven vanished as if he had never been there at all.
”I am indeed the chosen one, destined to be called the Grand Chancellor of the True Demon Kingdom~…”

*Sven’s Perspective
After departing the BlackBerry House, I found myself amidst the bustling streets of the Capital City.
My destination was the abode of a Noble who was set to join the rebellion.
Once a General, this man had been relegated to the reserves due to the recent military restructuring, effectively forcing him into retirement.
Initially, he had supported Sir Gwain, but as Sir Gwain fell from grace, he shamelessly switched allegiance to Shifa.
However, his dissatisfaction with being sidelined and put into reserve only grew, and in his audacity, he sought to align himself with my organization.
The man’s name is Gilbert Browning.
A Lord Noble holding lands in the east, he bought his military post by making significant contributions to Sir Gwain, and during the Gertroud rebellion, he temporarily swore allegiance to Gertroud.
Gilbert seems to have wanted to use his political prowess to erase the fact that he participated in the rebellion, but Arbalest had already decided to incorporate him into the reserves.
However, this man had organized the nobles who lost their posts in the recent reorganization into a group that could be called an anti-Arbalest organization, the ‘Noble Brotherhood.’
Yet, most of the nobles in the ‘Noble Brotherhood’ have metaphorical scars on their legs, making their expulsion from the military a matter of their own doing.
Because it’s a group made up of such people, keeping secrets is incredibly difficult.
In fact, details of the coup plan are likely already in Aldo’s ears, and it’s thought that Kent Blackdagger’s organization knows as well, but it doesn’t hurt or itch since the forces were disposable from the start.
My involvement in such subversive activities in the Capital City is not only because my contact with True Demon Prince Rashid has been cut off, but also because I’ve completely lost track of what’s going on.
Something is happening in the True Demon Dukedom, and I’m confused because I can’t grasp the whole picture.
Therefore, I’m plotting to weaken the ‘Kingdom Liberation Front’ supported by the True Demon Kingdom in the northeast, establish control over the region, and become a unique power.
Upon arriving at Gilbert’s mansion, I slip inside.
I always adhere to the principle of never entering through the front door.
Once indoors, I find Gilbert and the key nobles huddled together, discussing the rebellion’s plans.
”The Boldue family, the Huler family, and the Mirastra family have all agreed to participate. With this, we can secure the gates leading to the royal castle. If we can capture His Majesty Shifa, our victory is certain. We should be able to string up the heads of Arbalest and Aldo.”
Gilbert enthusiastically explained his plan to the nobles, but it was clear that he was underestimating Aldo’s forces and taking the Blackdagger family’s Capital City garrison too lightly.
The rebellion was already a plan with a low chance of success, but at the very least, he would offer some advice to the fools before him to ensure they could deal a bit more damage to the Kingdom.
”Lord Browning, this rebellion has the involvement of Lady Blackberry as well. Surely, she’ll keep the forces in Blackdagger’s Capital City in check. Hence, I believe we can direct more troops toward the royal castle.”
”Sir Sven, is that so? That young lady from Blackberry is indeed mixed up in this? If so, then success is practically assured.”
Gilbert’s entourage of nobles wore expressions of relief as if a heavy weight had been lifted from their shoulders.
They had, after all, felt the threat posed by Blackdagger’s military might despite their bravado.
”So when shall we rise? My movements hinge on that decision. To what extent are preparations coming along?”
”Preparations are nearly complete──over 90 percent finished. Should you command us, we are ready to march at any hour.”
”Understood. Then let us stage the uprising tomorrow night. Such plans tend to unfold more smoothly when executed sooner rather than later.”
I conveyed to Gilbert our intent to rise against the Kingdom tomorrow night.
”Got it. From this moment forth, no further communication is necessary. Our next meeting will be when we have seized power.”
Gilbert gazed at me with a mixture of excitement and tension.
For him, this uprising was likely a once-in-a-lifetime gamble.
The odds of success may be low, but the rewards of triumph would be vast and lucrative.
After bidding farewell to Gilbert, who had begun discussing further strategies for the nobles, I resolved to prepare my own plans to strike at the Kingdom.
~New Character~
Lucy Blackberry
Lucy Blackberry, a 15-year-old maiden of the Majin Clan, is the noble head of the Blackberry family in the Capital City.
After her father fell in the Gertroud Rebellion, Lucy, his only daughter, inherited the mantle and took charge of the household. Within months of her taking over, she multiplied the family fortune tenfold, all thanks to her uncanny ability to swindle exiled nobles in high-stakes poker games, wagering both their bodies and their family assets.
Using this newfound wealth, she’s now scheming to build a third faction within the Capital City.

Ophelia Campbell
Ophelia Campbell, a 30-year-old Garuda Clan woman of the Minotaur breed, was once the wife of a middle-ranking noble in the Campbell family of the East.
During the Gertroud Rebellion, her husband was slain. Following her husband’s advice, she and her daughter, Lumis, escaped the chaos by taking refuge at her brother’s mansion in the Capital City.
However, since her brother was a Gwain-aligned noble, he was banished from the Capital City. Desperate for funds, he gambled against Blackberry in a poker game and lost, forcing Ophelia to become a nude slave in her own home.
She now oversees the other slaves.

Gilbert Browning
Gilbert Browning, a 50-something male of the Majin Clan, is a Lord Noble from the East.
Before the Gertroud Rebellion, he wielded Gwain’s influence to unite the East. During the rebellion, he quickly pledged allegiance to the Demon God Emperor’s nation and imposed tyranny upon his lands.
After the rebellion ended, he used his political clout with the Capital City’s noble families to return to the Kingdom, making him a rather dubious character.
He was stripped of his military position by Arbalest and relegated to the reserves, which he deeply resents. Now, he’s gathering nobles in similar situations to form the “Noble Brotherhood,” an anti-Arbalest organization, and is actively plotting a coup.
Rumor has it, he’s practically dancing with glee upon hearing that his stepdaughter, the Succubus Sarah, has become the property of the Blackdagger King.
