At that moment, the doctors and nurses present cheered loudly. Though the woman was hidden beneath sheets and invisible inside, the applause from surrounding patients—hearing the cheers and the newborn’s cry—echoed through the ward.
The reason for their joy was clear: there are two types of amniotic fluid embolism. The first is the cardiopulmonary arrest type, and the second is the uterine type.
The woman who had collapsed this time was of the first type—cardiopulmonary arrest—which is extremely difficult to save and is a leading cause of maternal mortality.
Afterward, she was scheduled for postpartum procedures, and tests were conducted as a precaution. She was then handed over to the attending doctor.

”Are you asking me to accept that explanation?”
”I apologize, but that’s all I can think of.”
In simple terms, the woman had experienced an allergic reaction similar to anaphylaxis. Therefore, Haruto had no choice but to treat her allergic reaction with his ability.
However, because he treated her, no evidence remained to prove she had amniotic fluid embolism. Furthermore, without a clear cause, it raised the question of why she went into cardiac arrest.
So, Haruto pretended it might have been caused by panic, but the other doctor was skeptical—an understandably weak excuse.
Still, this did not mean Haruto doubted his own ability. Strange things happening did not necessarily mean it was linked to his power… but it did raise suspicion.
For example, since the amniotic fluid embolism diagnosis was incorrect, could it be that she was made to appear as if she had gone into cardiac arrest during CPR? …Or something similar.
”I’ve heard about your evaluation; your speed and accuracy in diagnosis rival those of veteran doctors.”
”Thank you very much.”
”It must be hard to say, considering it’s because of you.”
”I’m not lying. The person who called the code blue must have confirmed she was in cardiac arrest.”
”If that’s true, then it becomes even more… mysterious.”
Their conversation continued like this, but in the end, Haruto never admitted anything, and the director did not come to any conclusion.
