Chapter 178 The Emotion I Couldn’t Experience

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

As Haruto continued examining Yuna’s back and waist, the cause of her discomfort became clear.

Her spine and pelvis were subtly twisted to the right—likely a result of relying solely on her right leg during the time her injured left leg had been unusable.

The imbalance from that period had thrown her entire posture out of alignment.

”Well then, I’ll check the front as well.”

 ”…Y-yes.”

After a short pause, Haruto stepped around to face her.

Yuna tightly shut her eyes, as if to block out the situation.

 (T-this is… the chest of a popular idol…)

The word “idol” was a label created by society.

They weren’t divine beings—they were people, just like everyone else.

(Even idols are human. They eat, sleep… they’re no different. So, their bodies shouldn’t be anything out of the ordinary either…)

Haruto had braced himself for some mythical, dazzling sight.

But in the end, what greeted him was a simple, modest chest—completely ordinary.

Her bust was barely a B-cup.

The shape was unassuming, and the features were delicate and subtle.

What stood out to him, oddly enough, was the tone of her skin—the contrast of color around that area.

It didn’t match the idealized image he’d subconsciously built up.

(I know it’s just a bias… but still, it doesn’t really line up with the image I had in mind…)

Expectations, once shattered, had a way of bringing people back to reality.

Haruto reminded himself of that and shook off the lingering thoughts.

”I’ll begin by examining your shoulders.”

 ”……….”

Of course, there was no way Yuna could have known what had just crossed Haruto’s mind.

She kept her eyes shut, silent and still.

Haruto, resetting his focus, began checking from her shoulders, then carefully moved to her collarbone.

He deliberately skipped over her chest—his purpose here wasn’t anything beyond medical.

Instead, he moved down to her abdomen.

”…Hmm. As I thought, it’s definitely shifted to the right.”

”Huh!? So you figured it out?”

Yuna opened her eyes wide, surprise flickering across her face as she looked up at him.

”I’ve got a good grasp of the upper body. Let’s move on to the lower half.”

”…Do you really think you can heal it?”

”Huh? …I already told you, didn’t I? I can heal it.”

”I mean, I want to believe it… I really do. But there’s still a part of me that finds it hard to fully trust…”

She had every right to be doubtful.

After countless visits to hospitals and specialists across the country—only to be told nothing definitive—it wasn’t easy to put faith in someone new.

”You’ve really gone to that many hospitals?”

”It’s more accurate to say I’ve been to almost every hospital with a nationally renowned specialist.”

”I see. And they all just referred you to someone else?”

”Exactly. Even the so-called top-tier specialists couldn’t give a clear answer. One of them even offered to become my private doctor—without knowing what was wrong.”

”That… sounds exhausting. Anyway, I’ll begin the lower body check now. Please lie on your back.”

 ”…Alright.”

Before she could start venting again, Haruto gently urged the session forward.

Examining the lower body was, understandably, far more embarrassing than the upper.

But now that Haruto had identified the root cause above the waist, Yuna complied without hesitation.

”I’ll remove the treatment outfit now.”

 ”…Yes.”

As he lifted the remaining fabric away, smooth, unblemished skin was revealed.

Yuna’s lower body was clean and free of any visible injury or marks.

(Huh… this is a real idol in front of me, and yet… why am I not more excited?)

Before the treatment began, the idea of seeing an idol—undressed no less—had sparked some immature curiosity.

But now, with the session underway, he realized something unexpected.

 The feeling… just wasn’t there.

 (Maybe it’s because… I don’t know who she is?)

In his past life, Haruto had known a few big-name idol groups—like that classic one with the “Morning” name, or that group with a three-letter acronym everyone loved.

They were like the original blueprint for modern idols.

If something like this had happened to his former self—if that Haruto were here now—he’d have been over the moon.

He’d probably have treasured this memory for the rest of his life, maybe even replayed the security footage as a sacred keepsake.

(Man… who would’ve thought not keeping up with idols would come back to bite me like this…)

 He was genuinely shocked.

The kind of moment that could’ve been once-in-a-lifetime… and yet, because he didn’t recognize her, the emotional impact just didn’t land.

(After this… I’m putting a TV in the waiting room. For sure.)

Haruto made the decision firmly in his heart.
