Chapter 76 Kuroiwa Ryuichi

”In other words, I think Akane, you’re a good match for me.”
”Um… what do you mean?”
”I could become your boyfriend.”
”Sorry, I am already dating someone.”
”Are you sure? You might regret it.”
”Regret?”
”My father is the director of Chiba University Hospital!”
”That doesn’t matter here. Well, excuse me.”
Ryuichi looks angrily at Akane as she leaves. He is Kuroiwa Ryuichi, a third-year medical student,
and the third son of Kuroiwa Osamu, who is the head of Chiba University Hospital.
Ryuichi, while trying to recruit Akane for the tennis club he belongs to, saw her and kept asking her to join, but when he heard there was a new Massage Research Club, he gave up recruiting her and decided to confess his feelings instead.
”Damn! I regret not being able to recruit her for the club!”
Ryuichi is irritated and biting his thumbnail.
”Is there any good way?”
When Ryuichi started medical school and joined the tennis club,
he attended a welcome party for new students. He remembered how he got drunk and, with a senior who had already graduated, went to a love hotel to lose his virginity.
Because of that experience, he got used to getting women drunk and bringing them to hotels. He often held drinking parties, but it was not always easy to get women to come. So Ryuichi sometimes forcedly pulled a girl into a hotel.
As a result, he almost got in trouble with the police, but his father Kuroiwa Osamu gave him a lot of money to settle the matter quietly.
After being scolded by his father and older brother, he temporarily behaved better, but then he noticed something and started doing the same bad behavior again.
That thing is:
Even if trouble happens, his father will fix it with money.
This idea is not exactly right, but it’s not completely wrong either.
Because if Ryuichi were caught for a crime, his father would definitely have to resign from his position.
The title of director at Chiba University Hospital is very important and respected. It wouldn’t be easy to lose it.

Ryuichi takes out his smartphone and starts typing something.

The woman sits next to Ryuichi, following his instruction. Once she sits down, Ryuichi puts his arm around her shoulder in a friendly gesture.
”Uh, um, here…”
”Don’t worry, no one will come today.”
Saying that, he gently pats her shoulder. But then, he lightly touches her arm, feeling the fabric of her sleeve. Curious, he asks, “Is this a new jacket?”
”Ah, um, what is this for…?”
”Huh? Oh, I just have a small question.”
”What is it?”
The woman seems eager to finish the conversation quickly.
”When do people not want to be seen by anyone?”
”Huh??”
She looks confused, not understanding the question.
”I mean, what situations do you think are private or embarrassing if someone sees you?”
”Um, I think… like when someone is in the bathroom.”
”Ah, I see! The bathroom!”
The woman looks relieved that Ryuichi’s mood suddenly improves.
”Is there a difference between boys’ and girls’ bathrooms?”
”I don’t know.”
That’s true. Since there’s nothing else to talk about, Ryuichi asks the woman about how girls’ bathrooms are set up.
”But, it seems pretty similar.”
”I see…”
”Then, can you help me understand by taking a photo of the inside?”
”Huh? No, that’s not right! That’s invading privacy! I can’t do that!”
”But if no one notices, it’s okay, right?”
”B-but it’s still wrong! I can’t do it!”
”Hmm, then I might have to share this funny video of you dancing at the party.”
”N-no, please don’t!”
This woman is a second-year student, one year younger than Ryuichi, in the same tennis club. She was one of the students who attended a club party and had too much soda, feeling a bit silly afterward.
Even Ryuichi, who usually relies on his father’s help to solve problems, wants to keep things quiet if possible. His idea? Asking for a simple photo.
”Are you sure? If that video gets out, it might be embarrassing for you, right?”
”…”
”You could tell someone, but my dad would just explain it was a joke. In the end, you might feel bad.”
Ryuichi taps on his phone as he speaks. As soon as he’s done, silly music starts playing.
’N-no! Stop, please! That’s so! N-no! At least use protection! Ugh, why is this happening!’
”O-okay! I’ll do it! I’ll take the photo!”
”Good choice. I’m counting on you!”
”W-who am I supposed to take a photo of?”
”Miyoshi Akane, first year in the medical department!”
