Chapter 167 The Slave Ship
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Caesaran Empire — offshore waters, somewhere out on the open sea.
The slave ship carrying Takanashi Ami, Maina Uzuki, and Amagasaki Renka was drawing closer and closer to its grim destination—the port of Caesar, where the twisted noble who had bought them was waiting.
”Damn it, this is killing me…!” one of the sailors snarled, voice dripping with frustration. “We’ve got young girls chained up down in the hold, and we can’t even touch ’em once!”
”Deal with it, idiot,” another spat back, teeth bared in a bitter grin. “Captain says they’re high-value goods. No scratches, and no bruises, nothing.”
The air on deck was thick with salt, sweat, and months of pent-up lust. They hadn’t had a woman in their arms in who knew how long, and the fact that three were locked just below their feet only made it worse. Of course, they couldn’t lay a finger on them—cargo had to arrive undamaged.
Meanwhile, down below…

Slave ship — inside the hold
”What’s… gonna happen to us…?”
”I still can’t believe Kiritani sold us. That bastard… I’ll kill him. I swear I’ll kill him.”
”Help… papa, mama… please…”
Their muffled sobs and broken whispers seeped through the dark like water through cracked boards. The girls had been fed regularly—valuable goods had to be kept alive, after all—but the rest of their treatment was cruel. When they needed to relieve themselves, they were given nothing but a rough wooden bucket. The air was foul, the chains cut into their wrists, and the rolling seas kept their stomachs twisting in endless waves of nausea.
It was no wonder their voices shook, no wonder they sounded so small. They were modern girls—soft, sheltered—and this was nothing like the world they’d known.
Then the ship lurched. Hard.
The planks shrieked. Lightning cracked above.
The girls screamed as the whole world pitched sideways, iron chains rattling like angry snakes as they clung to each other for dear life. With no way to see what was happening outside, all they could do was press close, breathing sharp and shallow, and pray the darkness wouldn’t swallow them whole.

Slave ship — on deck
”Drop the anchor!! Get those sails down, now!!”
”We know that, damn it!! Hurry up and furl the sails! Cut the ropes if you have to!! If the storm takes the mast, we’re done for!!”
”Damn it all—told you this would happen! This season, the warm westerlies from Lusrith sweep right into Caesar’s coastal waters! I said the route would be dangerous, didn’t I?!”
”But nooo, the great captain was behind schedule so he just waved it off!!”
”Shut your mouths and move your hands!! Or we’re going down!!”
As the girls cried in panic below, the sailors above bellowed over the howl of the wind, their shouts shredded by the rising storm. They slashed at the rigging, fought the whipping canvas, and cursed their captain with every breath—but it was useless. The storm slammed into the hull like a living thing, waves hammering from every side, and the current caught the ship like a toy, dragging it off into the black chaos of the sea…
—
The girls chained and vomiting from seasickness in total dark.
Notes:
• Kiritani – The class president who takes leadership and questions their situation. A smooth operator, laid-back and calm. The handsome one.
