”Huh, this uniform!? I thought it had such a cute design.”
Christy stared intently at Esther in her mini-skirt apron.
The white knee socks are very feminine too.
”Ahaha… Even though I designed it myself, at first I felt it was a bit too revealing.”
”The skirt is definitely short.”
”Isn’t it improper?”
In response to Esther’s probing question, Christy quickly said, “No.”
”I think it’s cute. The length of the skirt is about the same as the academy’s uniform.”
”The academy’s uniform, huh…”
Esther narrowed her eyes.
She had been intimidated by Christy earlier, but it seems all thoughts flew away when the topic turned to her favorite sewing.
”I want to try wearing it too… But first, I need to use this swimsuit design to make a new uniform!”
”To be honest, when Kian told me about it, I thought you were just making costumes for fun.”
Christy looked at the ribbon on Esther’s maid outfit.
”But I didn’t think you were making it so seriously. Are you perhaps doing tailoring as a side job?”
”No, it’s just a hobby… But I get really into it. When I see cute costumes, I want to recreate them. But I always end up adding my own twists while making them, so in the end, I create something completely different.”
”That’s amazing! Did you perhaps do the interior of this shop too, Ms. Esther?”
”Oh, no. My father did this.”
”Wow, your father made it himself.”
”If you want to know about the furniture, should I call my father? He’s working in the kitchen.”
”N-no, that’s fine. I don’t want to disturb him… But I thought before, the interior is really well done.”
”It’ll be a mess when the drinking party starts at night, though.”
Esther smiled wryly.
Christy replied, “I see.”
(They seem to be getting along well. It’s impressive how Esther can communicate so well with Christy, who struggles with talking to others.)
She has been doing business with adventurers on Central Street since she was little.
Calm Esther smiled with a business grin and pointed to the nearest seat.
”How about lunch if you don’t mind? Since you came all this way, please enjoy our specialty meat dishes!”
”I was planning to have lunch here anyway. I’ll take you up on that. Christy?”
”Yes. It smells delicious here. The herbal tea I had before was really good, so I’m looking forward to it.”
”Before… oh, could it be that sour one?”
”Yes, it was the one with a color like acerola.”
”It will be an original blend of hibiscus and rose hip. Shall I prepare it for you?”
”Then please do.”
”Yes! Thank you! I will bring the menu shortly, so please wait at your seats until then.”
Esther said this with a smile to Kian and Christy, who were seated.
She bowed slightly and returned to the kitchen.
”Isn’t she a good girl, Christy?”
”…Yeah… kind of silly.”
”Huh?”
”It means I wasn’t being mature.”
Christy said this and raised her voice to change the mood.
”What do you recommend? I’m really hungry, so I want something hearty.”

After a late lunch, He briefly greeted Robert.
Kian informed him that he would be leaving the room a bit longer and also paid Esther the rent for this month.
With Christy’s eyes slightly pained, they said goodbye to Esther and left ‘The Boar’s Trot Inn.
After finishing the job at the fortress, he need to do something more like a lover for Esther.
But since Esther recently took time off to visit the ‘Labyrinth of Roses,’ inviting her on a date wasn’t an option.
Sneaking into her room at night for sex seemed like the best choice.
Determined to love her until she passed out next time, Kian set off with Christy to meet the next woman.
Their destination was the monastery at the outskirts of the town where Aliona was.
By the time it passed three in the afternoon, they arrived at the white building of the Western Church.
The head nun informed them that Aliona had finished work earlier than the other sisters and was at the back entrance.
”Christy, wait here for me.”
”Huh, why?”
Kian turned seriously to the head magician, who looked puzzled.
”‘Thorn Magician’ hates politicians, right?”
”Ah… that’s true. If I, a servant, went, would it upset her?”
”Yeah, if Christy came along, she would likely show her discomfort. I don’t want to cause extra trouble, so I’m sorry, but──”
”Okay, I understand. But please be careful. She’s a powerful magician. Just because you formed a party once, don’t take everything she says at face value. Just like how you swordsmen use swords as weapons, magicians use words as weapons. Especially if she brings up deals, no matter how good the conditions, absolutely do not agree.”
”…What do you think Ms. Aliona is?”
”What do you mean… a dangerous witch who can trample a country with one hand.”
Christy answered immediately as if it were obvious.
Kian felt a mix of emotions.
”Got it. I’ll be careful. If I hear about ‘Thorn Demon’ from her, I’ll come back right away.”
”Okay.”
With that, he bowed and headed towards the back door.
Aliona usually radiated strong magic power, so for Kian, who had sharp senses, it was easy to locate her.
(By the vineyard’s well. I see, she’s washing her muddy hands and feet.)
In the bright sunlight, he circled around the church courtyard and came out to the back.
As he sensed, at the water station set up at the end of the vineyard, a beautiful blonde elf was washing her feet.
”Ms. Aliona!”
When he called out loudly, the pointed ears that popped out from her blonde hair twitched.
She looked up in surprise, and her face lit up as soon as she saw Kian.
”Kian!”
”Ms. Aliona, it’s been a while. I’m sorry for not being able to visit for so long. I’ve been busy working at the fortress…”
As he walked towards her, he started to babble excuses out of impatience.
However, Aliona seemed unconcerned, coming over with a big smile and a light skip.
”You’ll get your clean feet dirty.”
”I can just wash them again. More importantly, have you been well?”
”Yes. I’m currently working at the fortress.”
”You’re busy, aren’t you? I thought so.”
”I’m sorry for not being able to show my face here often…”
”It’s fine, don’t worry about it.”
Aliona said this and smiled softly.
The scent of Aliona mingled with the breeze coming from the vineyard.
In addition to the smell of water and earth, there was the fragrance of the soap she used.
