Linca blushed and fidgeted.
Kian stared, and she sighed like she gave up.
”Actually, I’m a virgin.”

”I have no experience.”
Linca repeated, looking embarrassed.
Kian tilted his head.
”You’re 26, right? You applied to Jibril’s harem?”
”I was rejected.”
”Oh.”
”Sir Jibril didn’t care about me. He only liked my Linca Tsai’s skills…”
”So, you’re not needed as a warrior now?”
”I wasn’t told that!”
Linca shouted.
”I was just told to throw trash in the valley.”
”Ah, right.”
She looked miserable, like she knew she was discarded but didn’t want to believe it.
Maybe Jibril’s brainwashing made her so loyal.
”But you’re a virgin. That’s good.”
”Is that sarcasm? A late-blooming virgin is just annoying, right?”
”As long as I get magic power safely, it’s fine. Getting power without STDs is already great.”
Still, Kian was really excited.
He couldn’t stop thinking about her since the fight.
Her legs in that short dress were too attractive.
”Is that so? Well, if I’m free from control, anything’s fine.”
”But if you lose your virginity, you can’t join Jibril’s harem. Are you okay with that?”
”At my age, I have no hopes. I’d be happy to serve Sir Jibril.”
”Did you refuse missions that needed seduction?”
”That’s none of your business.”
Linca said coldly, stood up, and brushed off her rear.
”So, what now? Are you going to finish quickly?”
”Let’s lose your virginity after we hide in a cave. Then wait there. If I take you to the temple now, it’ll cause trouble, so let’s wait until things calm down.”
”Ms. Sarah won’t let me join. How will you convince her?”
”That’s my problem, not yours.”
”True.”
Linca sounded like she didn’t care what happened.
”Let’s go to the nearby cave. Set up a barrier when we get there. I’ll place some enchanted guards too.”
”Understood.”
They started walking in silence.
Kian was on guard, thinking Linca might attack, but she seemed to have no plans.
She probably thought she needed to wait before bringing Kian back.
If she went to Jibril now, she might be killed.
Better to wait a few months until Jibril calms down.
That’s very Linca-like.
In the past, when she upset someone, she’d disappear and hide until things were safe. She’s good at avoiding trouble.
(I never thought I’d end up with her.)
’What are you saying, after leading things this way?’
(Honestly, that was a clever move. I’m good at seducing women.)
’Glasses’ thought, “Damn you, destiny-breaker.”
Whatever.
’You should stop doing unnecessary things.’
(Change is needed. Taking down Jibril’s woman with my charm──that’s a sweet idea.)
Kian smiled and looked at Linca.
Linca quickly looked away, pretending not to notice.
(I saved her brain for many reasons, but I was to try something different in bed.)
Kian’s smile turned dark.
Wing Cain, who was flying ahead, returned.
He found a good cave.
Kian signaled Linca, and Wing Cain climbed the mountain quickly, disappearing. Linca released a white paper shikigami from her pocket.
The shikigami turned into birds, spreading a white barrier.
That must keep beasts away.
”You’re a shaman, right?”
”Yes. My family practiced exorcism in the East. The skills were passed to me, but they’ll end with me.”
”To prevent that, you must return safely.”
When Kian said that, Linca looked worried.
”You’re strange. Well, you are Mr. Jibril’s brother.”
”…What do you mean?”
”Exactly what it sounds like. ──That cave over there. Let’s go.”
Linca’s black hair fluttered as she quickly passed Kian and entered the cave.
Kian gave orders to WingCain, then slowly followed Linca into the cave.
