The car carved through the heavy drifts.

We were supposed to be heading for Draguoth, the capital of Wrathfiria, but I was driving on sheer guesswork. I hadn’t seen a single traveler, let alone a carriage or a monster. My radar was dead silent.
A GPS would have been a godsend, but that kind of tech didn’t exist here. The maps were useless. I wished I’d been granted an “Auto-Mapping” cheat skill, but that useless Goddess probably hadn’t even thought of it when she was handing out my Augmentations.
”Hah… we aren’t getting any further today,” I muttered.
I brought the car to a stop and yanked the handbrake, leaving the engine humming. If I shut it down, the temperature would plummet instantly. Even though it was a “car,” it ran on magic stones rather than fossil fuels, making it eco-friendly enough to idle without guilt.
I moved to the rear. When there’s nothing to do but eat and sleep, there’s only one real way to pass the time.
