The next day-
”Alright, folks, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The main event! The Savior of the Kingdom versus the Arena’s newest sensation! And it’s a tag-team match!”
The stadium erupted with cheers loud enough to shake the foundations. Once again, it was a packed house. It wasn’t quite as massive as a major league ballpark-the capacity capped out at around ten thousand-but for a city like Foxia¹ with a hundred thousand residents, seeing ten percent of the population in one place was a hell of a sight.
”And now, for the players’ entrance! First up: the Masked Lord himself, Sieben-san! As you all know, he’s the Hero of the Realm! The man hailed as our country’s deadliest Monster Hunter. But lately, rumors say he’s been ‘inviting’ lovely young ladies back to his manor for all sorts of scandalous behavior. We’re talking about girlfriends, even wives… His reputation is in a total nosedive!”
A storm of cheers and boos filled the air. Among the noise were the shrill squeals of fangirls-likely Marl and the others whose hearts had been stolen. It seemed like every piece of trash behavior Sugita pulled while I was heading back from Wrath-fi Ria² was being pinned on me.
”And at his side is… wait, that’s not the Fist Wolf, Lil-san. That’s… Rieslett! A member of the ‘Renegade’ guild! What on earth is going on here!?”
Like you don’t already know, I thought, adjusting my mask.
Standing beside Sugita-who was posing as me-was Reese. But her gear was different. It was a far cry from her usual pale-green adventurer’s outfit. She was clad in a reddish-black bikini with a wolf’s head mounted on her left shoulder; even her headpiece looked like actual wolf ears.
Ah, so she went “Full Shadow” on me.
”What’s happened to Rieslett-san!? That outfit… she looks like she’s undergone a total fall from grace!”
‘Fall from grace,’ huh? So they have that trope here too. Well, she actually did fall. Or maybe “corrupted” was a better word. Either way, I’d just have to beat the hell out of her until she snaps back to normal.
”Alright, let’s go,” I said.
”Yes, my Lord… no, Seven,” Lil replied.
I stepped onto the sands with Lil at my side.
”Here he is! The man who appeared out of nowhere a few days ago and won every battle without breaking a sweat! How far can his streak go? His name is Seven! And… whoa! Standing right next to him is the Fist Wolf, Lil-san!”
The crowd went ballistic. It made sense-Lil, my primary partner and wife, was standing next to “Seven” instead of her “husband” Sieben.
”Is this it!? Has she joined Seven’s side to put a stop to Sieben-san’s misdeeds!?” the announcer shouted.
To an outsider, the commentary made sense, but Lil being next to me was the only thing that did make sense. She was my wife, after all.
Sugita and I faced off against Reese and his team.
”Heh… I’m taking Lil back,” Sugita sneered.
”Think you’re up to it, imposter?” I asked.
”I know I am,” he replied, oozing unearned confidence.
I guess he’d conveniently erased the bad memories-like the fact that I hadn’t just fended off Hidaka and Hagimoto, but utterly crushed them. Or the fact that he couldn’t steal Honoka’s heart.
”To think you’d betray him,” Reese said, her voice dripping with venom. “I’ll have to put you in your place.”
”My thoughts exactly,” Lil replied, her eyes icy. “To think you’d stay by the side of someone so shallow. You don’t have a shred of dignity left.”
”Sigh… I think you’d be much happier being loved by him,” Reese said. “Well, you’ll be feeling that way soon enough.”
”We shall see about that,” Lil whispered.
Lil brushed off the provocation with a smile. Her face was beaming, but her eyes were dead. Among all my companions, Lil was harboring the most rage. I couldn’t bring Leki out; she had zero restraint and would’ve slaughtered them instantly. Honoka wasn’t built for combat, and the others weren’t right for this. It had to be Lil. I’d told her not to kill them… but “half-dead” was a fair compromise.
I was surprised to see a familiar face among the people in the stands. Instructor Carlos was there. Apparently, Sugita had stolen both his wife and daughter. When I heard the details, I felt a pang of guilt-after all, I’d ended up involved with that same wife myself. I’d apologized to Carlos, but he just said, “We’re already divorced, don’t sweat it.”
He and the others who hated Sugita were here for one reason: to see me break him.
”Darling! Finish that nobody!” Marl shouted from the stands.
”Win quickly so we can party!” another girl yelled.
”We’re all waiting for you!”
It was irritating, even if I knew they were brainwashed. I planned to handle them later.
Sugita drew the dragon greatsword he’d stolen from me. His movements were awkwardly disjointed. Reese, however, dropped her center of gravity, spear ready. She looked dangerous. Meanwhile, Lil and I stood there empty-handed.
”Where are your weapons?” Sugita demanded.
”I don’t need a weapon for a hack like you,” I said.
I took a boxing stance. Lil didn’t even bother to raise her guard.
”Keep acting tough,” Sugita laughed. “I don’t know why you wanted a tag match, but you’ve just dug your own grave. You’re the real moron here!”
The announcer signaled the start. “BEGIN!”
In a blur, Lil closed the distance. Thwack!
”Eek!?” Reese shrieked.
Lil launched a palm strike directly at her face. Reese barely blocked with her spear, but the force was massive; she was sent stumbling back across the sands.
”Wha…? That’s impossible!” Sugita stammered. “Why can’t I steal that woman’s… Why can’t I steal Lil’s heart!?”
”Did you really think I’d make the same mistake twice, Sugita-kun?” I asked, moving in. “I know your ‘Steal’ skill’s limits. You can’t touch a Unique Skill. My ‘Kin’ and ‘Servitude’ statuses are absolute. To take them, you’d have to steal them from me first. And you aren’t strong enough to do that.”
I twisted the knife with a mocking grin. “Too bad things didn’t go your way, Suuuu-giiii-ta-kuuuuun? What’s the matter? You mad? You gonna cry?”
”I’ll kill you… I’m gonna fucking kill you!” Sugita screamed, his face beet-red.
”With what brain? You’re a goddamn joke.”
Sugita charged. I’d dismantled low-lifes before, but this guy was the worst of the lot. Death was too merciful. I was going to give him a taste of a living nightmare far worse than anything Hagimoto ever suffered.

Seven shows a more sadistic side this chapter, deliberately using baby talk to break Sugita’s ego. Lil shows a silent, lethal fury, contrasting with the brainwashed girls.

The ‘Itchy… Tasty’ line is a reference to the Keeper’s Diary in the original Resident Evil (Biohazard). The mocking tone used for Sugita’s name is an homage to the character Accelerator from A Certain Magical Index.

• Sieben – Young man with black hair and a mask covering his eyes. He purchased Honoka and Ria.
• Sugita – Sugita Kazu. The leader of the Sugita gang and the primary bully of Natsumi Sasaki. His grandfather is the Superintendent General and his father is a Police Superintendent, so the two of them covered up all his crimes. Because of this, he does whatever he wants wherever he goes. He has a lean build, sharp features, and a calculating gaze. Possesses the ‘Steal’ (窃盗) skill and uses it to brainwash women.
• Marl – Lil’s younger sister figure or companion who enjoys watching the couple from a distance. Not the real one.
• Ria – A beautiful woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. Has a beauty mark (mole) under her right eye. Well-balanced proportions.
• Rieslett – A half-Japanese, half-Swedish girl with a youthful appearance. Often mistaken for her mother’s sister. A blonde or brunette girl. Currently wearing a black cloak over a white shirt, accented with a red ribbon tie. A navy-blue, knee-length pleated skirt, black knee-highs, and brown leather shoes.
• Lil – One of the heroines. Height 166 cm, B-W-H: 90-56-90. She is a top-tier beauty with long indigo hair down to her waist, a large scar on her abdomen and sharp golden eyes. She has wolf ears and a tail.
• Ren – Height 169 cm, weight 50 kg. A cool-headed guy with glasses who aimed to be a lawyer. He viewed bullying as a minor issue and stood by while Natsumi was tormented.
• Reese – Jessica’s sister, currently asleep. Identified as a ‘beautiful blonde lady’ by Alice.
• Hagimoto – One of the members of the Sugita gang who actively bullied Natsumi. At first glance, he looks like a cool, smart guy with glasses, but he is actually vulgar and has a foul mouth. Wields a large scythe named Grimm Reaper and possesses the Unique Skill Sariel’s Protection.
• Hidaka – 182 cm, 79 kg muscular man—ex-Sugita gang member and Kendo club alum, now Hero-class wielding Holy Sword Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi and Unique Skill
• Honoka – Cute, short ‘transistor glamour’ girl with healing magic—relief team member turned cold-hearted slave mocking her binder Sasaki. Now his devoted follower calling him Goshujin-sama in erotic maid uniform, obsessed with his scent. Formerly Hidaka’s obsession, recently Sugita-violated; petite with huge breasts, high lewdness, and desperate desire for his child. Bashful smiles hide intense reactions.
• Leki – Lil’s daughter. Height: 140 cm, B-W-H: 70, 54, 69. She looks more like a Siberian Husky puppy than a wolf. Honestly, she just looks like a stuffed toy, recently transformed into a human form. Now use great axe as weapon.
• Carlos – The Knight Captain of the Plaudix Kingdom’s Royal Guard. He serves as an instructor and shows genuine concern for Sasaki. Currently a broken man, gaunt, skin and bones, with an unkempt beard. Husband of Elena and father of Farisa.
