Chapter 179 The Goddess’s Confession and the Sub-Divinity’s Betrayal

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Never before had Shelm looked so terribly frail. Usually, she was the beautiful Goddess whose immense divine power and unshakeable confidence stirred your heart, even when she was being utterly infuriating. That being—the one you thought nothing could faze—was now enduring the virgin’s first pain, unable to move a muscle.

Yet, even seeing her so vulnerable, you couldn’t bring yourself to treat your partner in passion, whose shoulders shook with silent tears, roughly. You gently stroked her cheek down to her neck, hoping to offer some small comfort. You felt the tightness of her core around your potency ease just a little, despite her fear.

”Look… I don’t know what’s going on, but what’s with the sudden change of heart? You’re not the type to play the innocent maiden after all this time, demanding a ‘pure body’ again… Oof!”

”Idiot! No, that’s not it! M-My body has turned human, okay?! S-Some kind of mistake… and because of that, my Divine Power can’t be used!”

Even a Goddess must make a mistake when their guard is down. You tried to joke to ease her mind, but she clearly had no capacity for light banter left. Worse yet, without even using any of her divine power, she started punching you with the arm that had been wrapped around her. The weak blows suggested she was too weak even for genuine anger, and you even had the leisure to stare at her breasts, which bounced free from her embrace.

As you enjoyed the yielding sensation of her soft flesh that always drew you in, you heard her unexpected confession. You immediately sent your magical sight into the body you were still inside. You could now clearly perceive Shelm’s magical structure, just like Ashley and the others, which had always been impossible to see when she was a full God.

”Wow… Your soul is beautiful, too.”

”Hyaaah! Idiot! Yuuri-kun, you perv! That’s sacrilegious! It’s way too disrespectful to just look inside a Goddess!”

The soul contained within that human-like body was like a fixed star. It held an amount of information far surpassing even the jewel-like souls of Ashley and the others, perpetually shining with a dazzling, rainbow-like flame. You were praising her stunning essence truthfully, but upon hearing it, Shelm flushed right up to her neck and punched you again with a fist that didn’t hurt.

 ”W-Wait, I was just honestly complimenting you…”

”Idiot, you idiot! Don’t compare me to a human! A Goddess’s soul is the same as a human’s naked body! I-If it wasn’t you who saw it, I’d be erasing this entire space right now!”

Was that truly just her trying to hide her embarrassment? At least she didn’t seem disgusted at being seen; she just kept her eyes darting around while using her arms to shield her chest. However, it was impossible to physically block the perception of her soul. Shelm knew that herself but still exposed the dazzling star that overlapped with her heart, writhing in shame.

”I see. So, for a Goddess, your body is just like clothing, huh? Then, you’re practically wearing nothing right now.”

”Ugh… That’s right! I’m so, so embarrassed! Normally, I have layers and layers of protection working for me! In this body, I’m defenseless against your consecrated potency—Ah!”

Realizing her soul couldn’t be hidden, you were distracted, watching her breasts bounce with what she called punching you—it was more like a weak, rhythmic shaking of her chest. While you pretended to give in to her light, pat-pat-pat counter-attacks, you nearly missed a crucial slip of the tongue.

Why did Shelm put her Aspect (Ai) into a human body in the first place? It was to send her sub-divinity as a servant to a devout apostle. This meant that even a Goddess in a human body couldn’t escape the effects of the Familial Workshop skill.

—A terrifying wickedness filled your mind. Even seeing her so weak, the name of the Goddess was too great to simply take advantage of her. But if Shelm’s power was truly limited to that of a mere human woman right now…

With that thought, you shifted your magical sight from the blinding star to her lower abdomen. There, you saw the familiar magical structure already beginning to take shape!

”H-Hey, wait! Does this mean you—you—can become my servant now, too?!”

”W-Wait! Stop! Don’t do it! If you turn me into a slave for your potency, then who will control my power?! We need to figure out what’s happening and get me back into my original body fast! Otherwise, the uncontrolled power might blow this whole space up!”

Maybe this was your chance to finally dominate this wicked Goddess.

You surged with the thought, but the panicked girl from moments ago was gone. A rainbow glow now burned in the depths of the eyes that stared straight at you. Pressured by the lingering divine power, your will to attack with your potency was instantly suppressed.

Moreover, even if the Shelm before you was weakened, you couldn’t be so foolish as to think her Godly Authority had completely vanished. Unable to see the full scope of her divine domain, you managed to avoid the stupidity of taking a massive risk just to take the exquisite bait before you.

”Hmph… I guess that would be too greedy, even for me. So, I just need to pull out now, right?”

”Y-Yes! You don’t need to worry about the pain or anything, just pull it out quickly! I’m desperately holding back right now, and if you’re considerate, I’ll end up submitting to your consecrated potency!”

Was she really trying to avoid being reduced to a servant?

Such a question popped into your head because Shelm, in her human form, was openly declaring her weakness. Furthermore, she was unconsciously wriggling her hips as if feverish, trying to engrave the pleasure onto your potency. It wouldn’t be so bad to ruin Shelm completely and die trying.

She said ‘stop,’ but her underlying intention to get herself off was clear, and you almost thrust your hips forward. However, the rainbow glow in her eyes—the Goddess’s pride—reminded you that her true essence lay in her soul, and that’s what finally stopped you.

You gently stroked the cheek of the trembling Shelm who was hugging herself, gripped her beautifully sculpted waist with both hands, and cautiously started to withdraw your potency.

But just as the connecting point became visible, no matter how hard you pulled, you couldn’t move your hips back any further.

”Nghh! W-What is it, Yuuri-kun? No! I know you’re clinging to me, but I can’t give myself to you!”

 ”N-No, it’s not that I’m clinging. Something… ugh, my potency… I can’t pull it out!”

Was this strange phenomenon also a part of Shelm’s mistake?

You breathed heavily, unable to figure out why you couldn’t withdraw, straining against the invisible force. The result was unchanged, and only when you slumped back, exhausted, did you finally notice the strange sensation. Someone’s hand was gently touching your waist…!

It was an incredibly subtle sensation compared to the soft friction of her core squeezing your potency. Yet, when you tried to slowly pull your hips back, that hand was unmoving, like you were pushing against a mountain. Furthermore, you couldn’t even move Shelm’s body, which should have been unrelated to the hand’s position. The result was that your potency was kept lodged in her pleasure-stricken core.

 ”W-Who is that? Hey—”

 ”Ah, no! Yuuri-kun, don’t move!”

All the while, Shelm’s body had begun to convulse, showing that her restraint was nearly at its limit. It was terrifying to turn your back in a supernatural space like this, but you couldn’t afford to be particular in this predicament.

Just as you cautiously began to turn your head, that movement, too, was sealed by some force. As the fear finally mounted, the owner of the hand leaned against your back.

”—You mustn’t, Elder Brother. I won’t allow you to withdraw your potency from me.”

 ”Gasp!”

The familiar tone of voice whispered in your ear without any preceding presence. Your fear was instantly replaced by shock as you recognized the source of the mischief.

However, before you could voice your protest against your little sister-figure who had scared you so badly, your exhausted hips were easily driven back into Shelm’s core by the light push of the hand at your waist.

”FUUUNYUUOOHHH! H-Heh, stop fooling around, Yuuri-kun!”

 ”N-Not me! That was Ai’s voice—Wait, Ai?!”

The consecrated potency must have given Shelm’s temporary human body an intense rush of pleasure. Shelm, who was resisting the irresistible pleasure purely through willpower, hadn’t noticed Ai’s maneuvering. She mistook the violent thrust into her deepest recess as a betrayal by her own apostle, instantly bursting into tears and accusing you.

You asserted your innocence, but realized you had completely forgotten about your cute sister-figure because you were so preoccupied with the tempting Shelm. Come to think of it, wasn’t Ai supposed to be bound to become one of your wives already?

You looked to the side where Ai was supposed to be restrained, only to find no trace of her—as if everything had been a phantom from the beginning. While you stood there, dumbfounded and bewitched, a soft weight suddenly leaned onto your back.

It was the smooth texture of a Goddess’s robe and the warmth of a woman’s skin. Since you were currently pinning Shelm down, the person behind you had to be Ai, who was supposed to be restrained.

”H-Hey! How are you free?!” you demanded.

”Heh. That’s because, of course, my body is still the Goddess’s original form.”

How had such a situation come to pass? You blurted out the question without understanding, and Ai brought her lips close to your ear, whispering like a breath of wind. Unlike Shelm’s provocative tone, you listened intently, forgetting yourself in the flawless sound of her original beautiful voice.

All the while, her breasts rubbed against your back repeatedly, and the soft, yielding sensation caused the potency you had inserted to stiffen and harden even more, regardless of your intent.

”S-Stop that! Don’t let your potency twitch now! I-If I get any more pleasure from this, the crotch tattoo will start to form! The symbol of my submission to Yuuri-kun will be burned onto my most shameful spot!”

”Ha! S-Sorry… Ugh, I still can’t pull out!”

In any case, the immediate priority was to stop tormenting Shelm further with pleasure. You tried desperately to withdraw, spurred by her earnest plea, but Ai’s palm wouldn’t release your waist, clinging as if by suction. Moreover, your hips were being manipulated against your will, forced to thrust into the desperately resisting Shelm as if you were merely a flesh-made stamp.

”Fuuunyuhhh! Ah, nghaaah! S-So it really is Ai doing this?! Ugh, hey, me! What in the world are you thinking?! No, how did you manage to outwit me, the Chief God?!”

”T-That’s right! I don’t know what the power dynamic is between you two, but wasn’t Ai supposed to be unable to disobey Shelm?!” you blurted out.

Yes, that was the first reason you hadn’t suspected Ai’s rebellion. Shelm, who held absolute dignity in her godhood, would never allow her power to be lost so easily. Therefore, she must have set up numerous safeguards to ensure her sub-divinity couldn’t rebel—and Ai, who managed the skill’s entire mechanism, should be no exception.

Yet, here you were, unable to escape the enforced coupling, and the reliant Shelm was on the verge of being branded with the crotch tattoo.

”Heh heh! You, Elder Brother, and me, really don’t understand anything at all, do you? …No, the very fact that you lose the answer the moment my Godly Authority is paused is precisely how I outsmarted you.”

”Ugh… W-What does that mean?! And what are you planning to do after pushing me out?! It goes without saying, but just because you can freely use a God’s power doesn’t mean you can do anything you want! There are tons of things I can’t do, which is why I even had to form a partnership with Mataaha! Agh, that damn four-eyes will laugh at me for this! …See? You get it now. Whatever you want to do, the most I can achieve is just putting on a demure act and repeating what I’ve already done!”

It was quite a sight to behold: the two Godly Aspects, who shared the same face, arguing with you sandwiched between them. However, a mere human couldn’t possibly know a God’s inner workings, so you couldn’t intervene. As you watched the proceedings with bated breath, you found a few things to be relieved about.

The main one was that while Ai taking control of the Goddess’s power was a serious matter, the danger of a power runaway that Shelm feared seemed unlikely. Ai, as the skill controller, should be able to manage the full delegation without issue. This brought you back to the next burning question: Why this sudden act of tyranny?

But no matter how you racked your brain, you couldn’t think of a mistake severe enough to cause a sub-divinity to rebel. You even considered that Ai was simply sick of Shelm’s wicked nature, but dismissed it, as such a minor issue wouldn’t escalate into a civil war that threatened the Goddess’s very existence.

Yet, as Ai listened to Shelm’s insults, she removed the hand that was controlling your potency from your waist and embraced you with genuine passion.

”As expected, Elder Brother! Unlike me, you can deduce the answer right away!”

 ”E-Eh…?” you mumbled.

”Haaah! How did someone like Yuuri-kun know right away?! Impossible! It must have been a fluke—Nghaaaaah!”

It wasn’t that you understood everything about Shelm and had logically deduced the answer. If anything, your single greatest complaint about this secretive Goddess was her bad personality. So, you had vaguely wondered if things would be better if that one thing was fixed—and apparently, you had hit the nail on the head.

Thus, as Shelm said, it was nothing but a fluke, but the sight of her swearing at you was Ai’s trigger, and she was immediately subjected to the potency punishment again.

”I deeply apologize, Elder Brother… To think that I would fail to see what you so keenly observed…”

”N-No. I mean, I don’t know about ‘keenly observed,’ but I guess it’d be better if you just asked for the answer instead of trying to provoke me…”

Why would she provoke the one who held her life and death in their hands while in such a desperate situation, teetering on the edge of servitude? Seeing her irrationality, you could even understand why Ai decided to correct her—that was Shelm’s greatest flaw.

However, she wasn’t called the Wicked Goddess for nothing. Shelm, who barely managed to endure the pleasure, her lower abdomen glowing faintly with magical power, slowly raised herself up with her trembling arms. Her rainbow eyes, glistening with tears, glared sharply at you, her confrontational stance utterly unchanged.

”Hn, ughhh! That was close! But I’m not convinced! Come on, Ai, or Yuuri-kun—tell me clearly what is wrong with me!”

How could this Goddess not understand something that a human—who wasn’t even sharp-witted—could figure out?

Your confusion grew, but Ai, still draped over your back, hugged you tighter in consolation. She stretched up a little and brought her lips to your ear, urging you to speak your mind.

”…Hey, Shelm. Isn’t it just like how a CEO’s bad personality can hurt the company’s performance?”

 ”Heeeh…?” she gasped.

Whether that analogy was correct, you didn’t know. But the director of Shelm Skill Co. looked from the face of her external contractor to her current business partner in this coupling, and then fell silent, unable to say anything more.

 Summary:

The wicked Goddess Shelm is rendered unexpectedly vulnerable in a human body, making her susceptible to Yuuri’s potent skill. However, the sub-divinity Ai unexpectedly betrays her superior, seizing control of the situation to keep Yuuri’s potency lodged inside Shelm. The chapter ends with Yuuri delivering a surprising, simple truth about Shelm’s poor personality being the root cause of her troubles, leaving Shelm speechless.

 —

 Character Insight:

Yuuri’s primary motivation shifts from self-preservation to calculated ambition when Shelm becomes vulnerable, but he is still held back by a fear of divine power. Ai’s loyalty is absolute only to Yuuri, and she sees Shelm as an incompetent rival, demonstrating a chilling level of technical, emotional, and possessive control. Shelm’s pride is so overwhelming that she cannot grasp a simple flaw in her own character, even when her existence is on the line.

 —

 Behind the Scene:

This chapter establishes the true, frightening extent of the ‘Familial Workshop’ skill—it can subjugate even a major Goddess if their divine form is temporarily disabled. Ai’s betrayal confirms the sub-divinities are not simply copies but possess independent, user-loyal wills, setting up a new dynamic where Yuuri is the prize in an internal divine struggle.

Notes:

• Shelm – Wicked Goddess, reincarnated Yuuri, manipulative, wants him to use his power.

• Ashley – Count’s daughter, royal attendant, has a crush on Yuuri.

• Ai – The recently-formed sub-divinity/ego who manages the world’s Skills. Her sudden, intense burst of divine will (‘ki’) almost bleached Yuuri’s wicked thoughts. Called Yuuri ‘Elder Brother’ and declared genuine affection and trust based on his efficiency with her Skills.

• Mataaha – the labyrinth goddess with brown skin, silver eyes, and waist-length black hair. She resembles a stern, intellectual character like Mikasa Ackerman but with divine power.
