Volume 1 Chapter 53

”I guess I’m the only one left, huh…?”
I wasn’t just talking to myself for the sake of it. The reality was that Mana, Minami-chan, and Haruka-san had all successfully cleared the Phase One dungeon¹, one after another.
First off, there was Mana. The moment she gained access to her Sage skills, she breezed through the Phase One dungeon on her very next attempt. Honestly, she’s a natural-born combat genius; even before this, she was brute-forcing her way through dungeons using methods that didn’t even fit her Dungeon Job². Now that she can actually use her Job Skills, it seems Phase One monsters have been relegated to total trash-mob status.
Minami-chan, on the other hand, turned out to be a perfect match for the Stamina Enhancement pressure point. Once she switched her focus to that, it only took her a few more tries to clear Phase One. She’d struggled for a while because she couldn’t quite grasp a Phase One skill, but the one she finally unlocked at the very end was a powerhouse. I have a feeling Minami-chan is going to be our MVP once we step foot into the Phase Two dungeons.
Then there’s Haruka-san. While things aren’t officially resolved with that stalker situation, being able to use Perception Enhancement has been a game-changer for her. With her focus back, she made steady progress through the floors. By mastering her Phase Zero skill, Divine Imbuement³, and the Phase One skill she picked up on the third floor, Divine Magic Bullet⁴, she pulled off a flawless Phase One clear.
”I’d better step up my game if I want to keep up with them! Alright, let’s do this!” I said, pumping myself up as I started through the first floor.
The first enemies to show up were standard Goblins. Using them as a warm-up, I applied my Adversarial Pressure Point⁵ to their Drop Rate Up point and proceeded to mop the floor with the buffed-up creatures. Since I’m so used to them now, even a strengthened Goblin doesn’t give me much trouble; a few minutes of combat is all it takes to turn them into tufts of smoke. I pocketed the Dungeon Stone they dropped and pushed deeper into the floor.
”Adversarial Pressure Point!”
”Gack!”
”Adversarial Pressure Point!”
”Squeal!”
I wasn’t here to grind Goblins today, so I just slipped past the reach of the ones carrying clubs and staves, tapped their instant-death points, and let them fade out.
”Alright, time for floor two,” I muttered.
The second floor was Slime territory. I moved cautiously to make sure I didn’t get blindsided by one dropping from the ceiling, but today, they all seemed to be sticking to the floor. (Maybe I’ll try for some drops with the regular Slimes…)
I could see three distinct pressure points glowing inside the Slime’s translucent body. Unlike Goblins, you can’t tell them apart by anatomy, but I’ve learned to recognize the subtle color variations associated with their effects. I won’t be making any mistakes today. I sidestepped a Slime Acid Shot, lunged into its space, and bashed it with the flat of my Goblin Sword to force its body to deform. As the internal pressure points shifted toward the surface of its skin, I drove a spear-hand strike home. (If I dawdle here, I’ll get caught in its engulfing attack.) I had to hammer the Adversarial Pressure Point in one swift motion.
”Nice, landed that one on the first try,” I said.
I’ve gotten so used to applying Adversarial Pressure Point to monsters lately that I rarely miss anymore. A strengthened Slime fires its Slime Acid Shot more frequently and with more power, but I’ve got the timing down. I watched for the telltale quiver in its body, dodged the acid, and moved in to strike the area around its invisible core with my sword. The reason that works is simple: I discovered that a Slime’s core—its literal weak point—is located in the exact same spot as its instant-death pressure point. Regular Slimes are an easy win for me now.
”Oh, a rare drop? Slime Gel actually fetches a pretty decent price,” I noted.
Slime Gel is a rare drop used as a base for various potions and synthetic materials, so it trades for a high value. Normally, I’d be over the moon about a rare drop like this, but since I have Adversarial Pressure Point, I’ve started getting a bit spoiled by how often they appear. Still, a win is a win, so I tucked it safely into my pocket.
”Okay, time to get serious…”
As I continued through the second floor, the Quick Slimes started appearing. They move with a rhythmic patter-patter jump and spit Slime Acid Shot at annoying intervals. However, despite the name, they aren’t nearly as fast as the Kobolds on the next floor.
”Adversarial Pressure Point!”
Just like before, I used the sword to dent its body and applied a debuff via the Adversarial Pressure Point. Against Quick Slimes, my efficiency still sees a significant boost, so it’s worth taking the time to kill them properly. Once its speed is gone, a Quick Slime is just a regular Slime. I pummeled the area around its instant-death point and watched it go up in smoke.
”Well, no drop this time… I guess the odds are naturally low for a reason,” I sighed.
I didn’t slow down, pushing further in. “There you are, Large Slime…”
The guardian of the second floor. Now that I can see its weak points, defeating it normally isn’t impossible, but I wanted to save time for my real goal today. Dodging a massive Slime Acid Shot, I slapped the Slime’s hide with the flat of my blade, forcing its gelatinous form to shift. Finally, the instant-death point neared the surface.
”Hyaaaaaah! Adversarial Pressure Point!”
I threw my weight into a strike that cratered its surface, driving my fingers into the vital point. Unlike the Goblins, the Large Slime vanished into smoke without a single sound. As I’d expected, I didn’t feel any increase in my efficiency using this shortcut method. (It’s convenient, sure, but risking my neck against monsters just to walk away empty-handed feels a bit off…)
Muttering my complaints to the empty air, I stepped onto the third floor.

The protagonist reflects on how Mana, Minami, and Haruka have already conquered the Phase One dungeon. Feeling the pressure to catch up, he enters the dungeon himself. He effectively uses his pressure point skills to harvest loot and clear floors quickly, reaching the third floor.
—
Trivia:
- Slime cores and instant-death pressure points share the same location.
- The protagonist uses a ‘Goblin Sword’ as his primary weapon.

Glossary:
Notes:
• Haruka – Izumi Haruka, known as “The Prince” among the Four Heavenly Kings, is an androgynously beautiful 3rd-floor Priest who calls herself “boku,” has a large bust second only to Higuchi, and bears severe burn scars from a Slime Acid Bullet with lingering side effects from Hirosawa’s skill. A trusting classmate and close friend of Mana, she overcame a stalker threat using Perception Enhancement and Divine skills, was healed by Kanade, and is now hospitalized after a violent encounter with the protagonist—still under surveillance by her stalker.
• Minami – Minami-chan, the petite ‘Loli Princess’ of the Four Heavenly Kings, sports blue twin-tails, a fluffy-skirted dress revealing symbol-marked cotton underwear and rope-bound panties, an eye mask, and a flat figure. She wields dual swords, leads the party’s speed, trains the protagonist in evasion, and seeks Kanade’s pain-training. After successfully using Stamina Enhancement pressure points to clear Phase One, she was teased by an explorer wielding ‘Sky-Ripping Slash’ after discovering her underwear.
• Mana – Kanade, Class President and one of the Four Heavenly Kings, wears a long black ponytail, glasses and neat attire with bracers and leg guards. As the Sage job wielder, she’s the protagonist’s primary partner and emotional anchor, training him in close‑quarters combat, evasion and pressure‑point techniques. She administers Hirosawa’s restorative liquid, requires sexual release to counter aphrodisiacs, and is his top‑favorite virgin.
