We spent the next several days getting everything ready for a long-haul dungeon dive.
Finally, we gathered at the entrance of what used to be a Phase Three Dungeon¹—but had recently evolved into a Phase Three.
We had already finished the paperwork and briefings with the Dungeon Explorer Guild staff stationed at the entrance.
All that was left was to actually go in.
With a deep breath, we began our slow descent down the stairs into the abyss.
”I know it’s an emergency and all, but I’m actually really happy to be doing a proper dungeon crawl with the whole team again,” Kanade said.
”I agree, Kanade-kun,” Mana replied. “Lately, our focus has been mostly on solo culls in Phase Two Dungeons to keep the populations down. Being with you makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable.”
”Hell yeah! I’ve been waiting to show Kanade-chi my ‘cool’ side again!” Minami added. “Watch me, I’m gonna be carving through those monsters like butter!”
”Hehe… well, since Hirosawa-kun will be watching, I suppose I’ll have to give it my absolute all today,” Haruka said.
With my three lovely teammates saying such sweet things, we officially stepped foot into the Phase Three dungeon. “We’ve cleared Phase Three zones before, so we should be able to handle most of what this place throws at us… but there are always outliers. Stay sharp, everyone!”
”You got it, Kanade-kun,” Mana said.
”Ready when you are, Kanade-chi!” Minami chirped.
”Understood, Hirosawa-kun,” Haruka replied.
I glanced over at the three of them as they gave their energetic replies, and I suddenly felt a different kind of ‘energy’ starting to rise within me. I couldn’t help it. The outfits these three beautiful girls were wearing were, quite frankly, a total sensory overload.
”…Is something wrong, Kanade-kun?” Mana asked. “When you stare that intently… it’s a little embarrassing.”
Mana was clad in a Black Anaconda Suit², a skintight bodysuit that encased her entire form in shimmering black.
The glossy fabric hugged her every curve so perfectly that it left absolutely nothing to the imagination.
If I squinted, I could almost swear I saw the distinct silhouette of her n**ples pressing against the material.
It wasn’t that Mana was wearing it just to tease me; it was a legitimate rare drop from a Phase Three dungeon.
It provided a massive boost to the wearer’s physical strength, making it the gold standard for melee specialists. The suit cost about 25 million yen.
I was actually wearing one too, but on a girl like Mana, it looked less like armor and more like a second skin.
It was the kind of gear that made you double-check your self-control before heading out.
”…Kanade-chi, are you checking me out?” Minami asked with a playful grin. “Ufufu, you can look as much as you want!”
Minami was rocking Mermaid Bikini Armor³. She had a slender, petite frame, but the armor traced her lines so vividly it was almost criminal.
Again, she wasn’t just playing dress-up. This was high-end dungeon gear.
Despite how little it actually covered, it had the highest physical and magical defense stats of any Phase Three drop.
It even granted near-total immunity to water attacks and allowed for underwater breathing. It’s the most popular set for female adventurers going serious.
Depending on the environment, Mana and Haruka swapped into it too. A single set went for about 30 million yen—a small fortune for most, but a necessary investment for us.
”H-Hirosawa-kun, you’re staring so much… i-is it… can you see through it?” Haruka asked.
Her cheeks were flushed a deep pink. She was draped in what looked like a single, gossamer-thin sheet of white silk.
She looked like an ethereal priestess from some ancient myth, but the fabric was truly, incredibly sheer. To put it bluntly, the soft pink of her peaks was visible through the cloth.
It was a devastating sight. It’s not like Haruka had suddenly become an exhibitionist; she was wearing the Saint Lace Cloth⁴.
It provided massive scaling for Holy-type jobs, giving her better protection than even the bikini armor.
Since it also boosted her healing and light skills, it was her go-to for serious combat. This one was a bit cheaper—around 10 million yen—mostly because it required such a specific type of user.
Altogether, the four of us were walking around in about 100 million yen worth of gear. It sounded insane, but thanks to my ‘Drop Rate Boost’ from the Adversarial Pressure Point⁵ skill, we’d managed to farm most of it ourselves.
We kept a full stock of different drops at the Guild Home so we could gear up for any situation.

”Alright then. Let’s head out!” I said. “This is Phase Three, so keep your heads on a swivel!”
With everyone’s buffs confirmed, we were as ready as we’d ever be. We took our first steps into the depths of the new dungeon—the place that had just been reborn into a deadly Phase Three gauntlet.
