Volume 2 Chapter 40
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
The morning arrived after a deep, enchanting night spent with Sakurako-san.
We once again found ourselves standing before the entrance to the Last Boss floor on Floor Twenty.
This time, our entire party entered the floor together.
However, the boss had apparently returned to its starting position; there was no sign of it anywhere near the exit of the stairs.
Consequently, we could afford to relax a bit until we reached the area where Sakurako-san knew the boss would emerge, but…
”Man, this is something else…”
Walking leisurely ahead of us, Sakurako-san was vigorously swinging her katana.
Her movements were even sharper and more lethal than they had been just yesterday.
(She’s technically formed a party with us now, so the [Samurai of Solitude]¹ ability has been deactivated.
But I suppose the combined buff effects of my (Pressure Point)² skills have already surpassed what she lost.)
The [Samurai of Solitude] effect doubled various stats and skill abilities, but only as long as Sakurako-san fought strictly solo.
To be honest, I hadn’t been sure if my (Pressure Point) buffs could truly compensate for the loss of such a massive passive.
But that was where my newly mastered Phase Five skill, (Heavy Pressure Point)³, changed the game.
The effect of (Heavy Pressure Point) is simple yet devastating: it doubles the number of simultaneous activations for both (Pressure Point) and (Rod-Type Pressure Point)⁴.
While it might sound underwhelming on paper, the actual output is staggering.
Take Sakurako-san’s current state, for instance.
I have her standard (Pressure Point) set to Physical Augmentation⁵ and Skill Attack Enhancement⁶.
On top of that, her (Rod-Type Pressure Point) is active for a second Physical Augmentation and Portio’s⁷ total party-wide enhancement.
Because Physical Augmentation is effectively tripled and stacked with Portio’s party-wide buff, Sakurako-san’s physical abilities—already elite to begin with—have reached a truly monstrous level.
Personally, I would have preferred she prioritize safety with a Defense Enhancement⁸ instead of the Skill Attack buff, but Sakurako-san is an aggressor by nature.
She’s a bit of a meathead who believes that as long as you kill the enemy before they hit you, everything is fine.
Ironically, I think I’m the one who benefited the most from (Heavy Pressure Point).
I was already capable of applying every type of (Pressure Point), but with this new skill, I can now apply two instances of the buff to every single vital spot.
Essentially, I’m receiving double the benefits of every single enhancement in my arsenal.
The result is nothing short of incredible.
I used to be the one member of the team with lagging combat specs, but I’ve finally reached a point where I can see the backs of the girls ahead of me.
I’m finally within reach.
Regardless… despite losing her [Samurai of Solitude] buff, Sakurako-san’s actual combat power has only continued to climb.
”With this, even the Last Boss will be a cakewalk! This is my revenge match, so let me handle this one!”
”I don’t mind,” I said. “But we’re stepping in the moment things look dangerous.”
”Yeah, of course!” Sakurako replied. “I’m not so stubborn that I’d rather die than win with help!”
The kimono-clad beauty flashed a wide, confident grin while continuing her practice swings.
As we followed after her, a massive, shrine-like structure eventually loomed in the distance.
”The boss is in there… It looks a lot like the building at the dungeon entrance. I guess that’s the aesthetic for a top-tier dungeon!”
”I see,” I said. “Does the boss appear the moment we step inside?”
”No, there’s a massive circular arena further in, like a hall. Once you step into the center, the boss activates and comes for your throat!”
With that settled, we began our trek into the shrine.
After a series of corridors that gradually sloped downward, the vast hall Sakurako-san had described came into view.
We stopped just before crossing the threshold for a final check.
”Alright. The plan is for Sakurako-san to handle the initial hunt solo. If anything looks suspicious or dangerous, we jump in and end it instantly. Everyone okay with that?”
”Yeah, Kanade!” Sakurako-san turned to me.
”From the next floor on, I want to really focus on our party coordination, but I need to do this one by myself. I’ve spent my whole time in Phase Five as a solo act… I want to see this through to the boss on my own terms, just once more.”
In response to her request, Mana stepped forward to speak for the group.
”We understand, Sakurako-san. We’re only standing here today because you paved the way through this Phase Five dungeon for us. We want to show our respect to the strongest S-Rank Explorer… and to the solo adventurer who fought this far alone.”
At Mana’s words, Minami-chan, Haruka-san, and Maria-san all gave firm, supportive nods.
”Thanks, everyone! Alright—let’s do this!!”
Following the gallant figure of Sakurako-san as she stepped boldly into the arena, we entered the final battlefield of the Phase Five Dungeon.

Notes:
• Sakurako – Striking sharp‑eyed S‑Rank explorer, the voluptuous “Samurai of Solitude” wears a loose kimono and wields a katana. She uses “ore,” bears a curvy, toned form, and can summon 100+ clones. Mentor to Kanade’s party, close to Ichigaya Rin, and now cheerful in Resonant Melody, she guards Japan against stampedes.
• Kanade – Kanade, the composed leader of A-Rank team Resonant Melody, wields the Unique Job “Vital Point Master,” mastering pressure point techniques to heal, buff, debuff, and trigger Instant Death through intimate physical contact—fueled by deep emotional bonds, especially with Maria, his savior and romantic anchor, and Sakurako, whose body he knows with clinical yet affectionate precision. Clad in a sleek black anaconda suit, he exudes calm authority, a masculine scent, and a steady smile, turning pleasure-infused stimulation into strategic advantage. Though once lacking raw combat power and Phase Five abilities, he has now mastered them, elevating him from support to indispensable linchpin. His uncanny intent-reading and tactical brilliance save teams, even as he battles guilt over intimate healing sessions—making him the quiet, indispensable heart of Resonant Melody, tasked with clearing high-level dungeons to prevent world collapse.
• Mana – Kanade, bespectacled A‑Rank explorer and sub‑leader of Resonant Melody, sports a black ponytail and immaculate armor, mentoring the protagonist with a judgmental gaze from their classmate past. Beside her, her calm, glossy‑black‑bodysuit companion—Cheat Job holder with high analytical skill—wields Dungeon Energy control, subtly steering the party’s decisions, questions the system, respects Sakurako’s feats, and speaks for the group.
• Haruka – An androgynous, prince‑like Holy Priest with short hair and composed grace, wields a massive mace in Resonant Melody, blending holy magic shots with heavy strikes and elite Phase‑Four healing—especially Holy Healing that stops severe bleeding. Tied closely to Kanade, close to Mana, stalked by Kosaka, she hides burn scars, masochistic tendencies, and an obsessive fixation on Hirosawa’s scent, masking vulnerability beneath her serene, battle‑ready poise.
• Minami – Blue-haired twintail loli with a cheerful, high-energy aura, member of Resonant Melody and the protagonist’s party, specializing in speed with rapid rhythmic sword thrusts enhanced by Wind-Step and Sky-Run for 3D mobility. Wields a two-handed sword (later dual-wielding), her bright glowing presence draws S-Rank attention. Curious and devoted, she follows Kanade’s lead, affectionately calls Maria “Maria-chi,” and warmly welcomes Sakurako. Though concerned about her power against high-tier bosses, she’s integral to dungeon exploration, notably during the 19th-floor Shinjuku conquest, and receives Kanade’s intimate recovery touch that restores her glowing energy.
• Maria – Sun-kissed, dark-skinned Maria, a voluptuous Dark Gyaru formerly known as “Boob Gal,” lost an arm to a Black Anaconda in Phase 3 and now serves as Resonant Melody’s tank, wielding a greatsword with Ironclad defenses. Though her high durability makes her an unshakable anchor, she struggles against high-speed humanoid foes and fiercely defends her party’s efforts against dungeon system injustices. Devoted to healer Kanade, she finds intense physical restoration through his pressure point techniques and plans to give him her virginity upon their first meeting, aiding his party’s rapid ascent through Shinjuku’s high-level dungeon layers.
• Dungeon – An artificially‑created, androgynous‑beautied woman, once an S‑Class Dungeon Explorer, now serves as the Guild Master of the Dungeon Explorer Guild. She administers a hyper‑advanced dungeon, leading and guiding its members, and is known as the Dungeon Master, wielding authority that shifts with each dungeon phase, her beaming smile a constant hallmark.
