Volume 3 Chapter 16

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

We immediately spot the Guild Master who is taking command at the front.

When we walk toward her, the Guild Master notices us right away.

”Oh, Kanade and the others, you’ve arrived,” she says.

”Yes, Guild Master… What should we do today?” I ask.

”Let’s see… We’ve had a bit of a commotion with the residents who have already migrated to the Korakuen Dungeon¹, and we’re short-handed managing things over there. To be blunt, we’re a bit short on manpower… I’d like each member of ‘Resonant Melody’ to split up and help at various points along the moving procession… Is that alright?”

 That is how it is.

This relocation involves tens of thousands of people forming a line to move from what used to be Tokyo Station to the area around Korakuen Station. Naturally, that line becomes a very long one.

In fact, by the time the last of the line departs, the people who started first have already arrived at the Korakuen Dungeon.

You might think that such a long line would be dangerous because it could be attacked by Monsters, but the fighting strength on the Dungeon City side is also quite well-prepared.

Many of the residents moving are quite capable of fighting, and there are also some very strong Dungeon Explorers, particularly those women who have received my (Pressure Point) (Rod-Type Pressure Point).

We’ve managed to go through the previous nine relocations without a single death, but it seems that today, we are a bit short on manpower for the guards of the procession.

”Mana, what do you think?” I ask.

”If we enter the areas with insufficient manpower on our own, the safety of those areas will increase,” Mana replies. “We are only moving through the Phase Three area, so I don’t think there will be any problems for us.”

Since only Phase Three Monsters appear around this Dungeon Tokyo at most, there is certainly no reason why ‘Resonant Melody’ needs to act as a team.

The plan for us to individually help out in various places where there is a lack of fighting power does not seem like a bad idea.

”As long as we can ensure Rin-sensei’s safety, we don’t mind,” I state.

”Ah, that’s right,” the Guild Master agrees. “Regarding Rin, let’s have her move at the head of the moving team with Mana so that she can enter the Korakuen Dungeon as soon as possible. After that, I want Sakurako to guard the middle of the procession, and I want Kanade to act as the rear guard. Minami, Maria, and Haruka will be filling in the positions between Mana, Sakurako, and Kanade, but is that okay with you?”

”Yes, let’s go with that,” I confirm.

Like that, the matter is decided quickly.

Once the procession is decided, all that is left is to actually begin the move.

First, the unit guarding the head of the moving procession goes outside the Dungeon and begins to defeat the surrounding Monsters one after another.

Mana can defeat Phase Three Monsters with a single blow, and the other Dungeon Explorers also form teams to quickly eliminate the surrounding Monsters.

Once the Monsters around the Dungeon exit are gone, the moving procession begins.

The residents remaining in the Dungeon City climb the Dungeon stairs little by little and start walking toward the Korakuen Dungeon.

”In that case, I’ll be going ahead… Kanade-kun, be careful,” Rin-sensei says.

”Yes, Rin-sensei, you be careful too,” I reply.

In our team, Rin-sensei will be moving with the vanguard group.

Mana is there for combat, and other powerful guards are stationed in the vanguard group that needs to advance while defeating Monsters.

The possibility of something happening should be effectively zero.

The residents continue to climb the stairs at the Dungeon exit one after another.

The residents moving are constant, and Dungeon Explorers, who are guards of Phase Five level or higher, mix into the line at intervals of about 50 meters, a distance where they can help immediately.

Among them are Minami-chan, Haruka-san, Sakurako-san, and also the two Gyaru, Ruri-san and Hiyori-san.

”Well then, I’m going too… Kanade-sama, see you at the other Dungeon,” Maria-san calls out.

”Yeah, Maria-san. I don’t think there will be any problems if it’s you, Maria-san, but be careful,” I tell her.

”I got it… Kanade-sama, you be careful too!”

After that exchange, Maria-san, who was the last one remaining, also enters the line of residents and heads outside the Dungeon.

Since there were tens of thousands of people here, it takes quite a long time just to get out of the Dungeon.

Sometimes the movement of the line stops when Monsters appear at the Dungeon exit, and already about four or five hours have passed.

But, even such a moving procession is finally coming to an end.

Remaining in this place are me, and Saori, who is the Mayor and Guild Master.

”Alright, shall we go, Kanade?” Saori asks.

”Yes, Guild Master. Let’s go,” I say.

I head toward the stairs leading out of the Dungeon with the muscular red-haired beauty.

When I look back for the last time… there is nothing left behind there.

The place that had been the Dungeon City ‘New Tokyo’… I couldn’t help but feel a little loneliness, but this is not the end, it is a new beginning.

As I turned to face forward again, I followed the back of the Guild Master who had begun to climb the Dungeon stairs.
