Chapter 53 The Student Council President’s Judgment and the Found Cat
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Good grief… What on earth are you doing, all of you, first thing in the morning?”
A voice echoed through the air—sharp enough to sting, yet heavy with exasperation.
The one who stepped between Aldrick and me was the Student Council President, Elenor-hime, her Royal Magic Academy uniform fluttering behind her. Her voice carried a chilling authority that instantly silenced the surrounding noise.
”A-Ah, Elenor-sama! This is… well, that guy there was acting completely suspicious, so I thought I’d, you know, test his limits in a fight…”
His battle-crazed madness was gone. Aldrick shrugged his broad shoulders, shrinking his massive frame as he made sheepish excuses to Elenor.
It seemed even this guy could not stand up to the princess. He looked like a giant trying to act meek.1
”I am not accepting excuses. Dueling within the Academy grounds is strictly prohibited by school regulations. Both of you will submit an apology letter later.”
Elenor spoke with certainty, her eyes sharp as a polished blade, as she slowly extended her hand.
A soft yet warm light radiated from her palm, enveloping Aldrick’s body.
The bruises and cuts he had sustained visibly faded, his skin smoothing over as it healed rapidly.
”Honestly, you are such a handful…”
This was bad. At this rate, they would find it suspicious that my wounds were not healing. Because of my Magic Seal, Healing Magic would not work on me unless someone directly touched me and poured Mana into my body.
I hurriedly approached Elenor.
”Please wait, hime. Didn’t I tell you that I have a unique constitution where Healing Magic doesn’t work unless Mana is poured directly into me?”
Saying that, I grabbed her delicate, white fingertips without giving her a choice and pressed them firmly against my body. At that moment, Elenor’s body stiffened completely.
It was probably because we kissed during a similar situation last time. She seemed extremely on guard.
I could see a faint hint of cherry blossom pink on her cheeks.
Seeing that, Elliot snapped at me again.
”Hey, you! Don’t you dare touch Elenor-sama’s body so casually!”
I felt irritated.
If you traced it back to the source, this whole commotion happened because he egged Aldrick on in the first place.
Positioning myself so only Elliot could see, I gently pinched the soft flesh just below Elenor’s waist—a curve noticeable even through her school uniform—between my thumb and forefinger.
Then, while smirking at Elliot’s face as he protested with bloodshot eyes full of jealousy and rage—I gave it a firm squeeze.
”Nkyah♡”
Elenor let out a high-pitched squeak from the sudden pain, mixed perhaps with a hint of pleasure. Her voice sounded exactly like the sweet mewling of a kitten.
”Consider this a reward for healing me. Accept it with gratitude.”
”Y-You…! To engage in such… such tomfoolery…!”
Elenor glared at me with watery eyes.
Rather than anger, her gaze was colored by shame and confusion. I ignored her protest and spoke to Elliot.
”Thanks to you, I got some good exercise this morning. You have my gratitude.”2
Elliot glared at me with a face so twisted by rage it felt like pure murderous intent. I deflected his glare effortlessly and left the scene to head toward my classroom.
Behind me, a frozen silence and a lingering tension remained.

A buzz of conversation, louder than usual, drifted out from the classroom. But the moment I opened the door and stepped inside, the chatter stopped instantly, as if water had been poured over it.3
Apparently, they had been gossiping about me regarding the duel earlier.
Cecilia rushed over to me with a worried look on her face. Behind her, Lizel stood with a similarly anxious expression.
”Xenos-sama! I heard that you were fighting with Aldrick-sama at the school gates, but is your body alright? And there is also talk that the theater was attacked by someone last night…”
She already knew about last night’s attack. As expected of a noble daughter highly attuned to information.4
”Oh, I’m perfectly fine. My injuries were just healed by the Student Council President, and the theater attackers have already been completely captured. The front door was damaged a bit, but it can be repaired right away.”
The fragile wooden door was destroyed, but the sturdy framework of the building was not affected at all. A replacement door had already been ordered from a skilled craftsman, and it should be back to normal in about a month.
In the first place, the theater’s main entrance doors were kept wide open during business hours anyway, so it would not be a problem even without them for a while. The theater-style restaurant could resume operations starting today without taking a break.
”More importantly. Actually, I picked up a lovely cat. We’ve started raising it at the estate now, so would you like to come over and see it after school? My housemaid, Mina, is taking devoted care of it, so I’d love to show it to Kai-kun as well. Lizel, how about you?”
”A-A cat! Xenos-sama, you have started keeping a cat?! Oh, how wonderful! Yes, by all means, I would love to visit after school.”
”H-Humph! I-I don’t really care about that sort of thing… but I do want Kai to see his sister, and well, I suppose I wouldn’t mind looking at the cat for a little bit, so I guess I can go…”
Perfect. I smiled, satisfied at the two who had taken the bait so easily.

After school, Grimlock Margrave estate.
”Oh my! How incredibly adorable!”
”Humph. Well, it’s decent enough, I suppose…”
Cecilia and Lizel showered praises on Kuuko, who was in her beast form—an ordinary kitten—being held by Mina. Every time Kuuko’s fluffy black fur brushed gently against their cheeks, joyful smiles broke out on their faces.
”You two are staying the night today, right?”
”Eh… Y-Yes. If it is alright with you.”
”W-Well… if you insist on it, I suppose…”
The two accepted my offer with a slight blush, looking entirely pleased.
”Yay! Another sleepover!”
”Nyaaー”
The little sister Mina and the kitten Kuuko rejoiced innocently.
”Then I shall immediately contact both households and arrange the preparations for the stay.”
My Dedicated Slave Maid, Lilia, began moving efficiently.
It was a warm, peaceful sight.
The soft evening sunlight streamed through the window, painting the room in a golden hue. The fire in the hearth crackled softly, and a tranquil time passed.
However, my head was completely filled with what was coming next.
In two days, a secret rendezvous with Elisabeth, princess of the Adrastea Empire, was waiting for me.
Before that, I made up my mind to dote on and pamper these two lovely girls to my heart’s content.

Summary:
Interrupting a tense standoff at the Academy gates, Student Council President Elenor disciplines Aldrick and heals his wounds. Xenos subtly exploits his unique magic constitution constraint to physically tease the flustered princess right before a furious Elliot’s eyes. After returning to his classroom, Xenos effectively uses his newly acquired black kitten to lure both Cecilia and Lizel to an overnight stay at his estate. While a peaceful domestic evening settles over his household, Xenos secretly prepares for his upcoming high-stakes clandestine meeting with the Imperial princess.
—
Trivia:
1 Elenor uses area-of-effect light magic that acts rapidly on regular physical trauma but fails on Xenos due to his specific compliance conditions.
2 Xenos’s Magic Seal functions as an absolute disruption barrier that requires direct personal contact to conduct localized flows of restorative Mana.
3 Elliot was the covert instigator who deliberately egged Aldrick on to trigger the initial gate confrontation with Xenos.
4 The restaurant’s main entrance design relies entirely on open-door operating hours, meaning the broken door does not prevent business operations.
5 Mina behaves towards Kai as an affectionate relative, and Xenos utilizes this dynamic alongside the kitten as tactical leverage to secure the girls’ compliance.
