Give-Cheat v2c13

Volume 2 Chapter 13 Ankidu Golem

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

The road from the capital to Toyata village is about 30 kilometers──walking it makes you want to stop and stay the night.

Mr. Laken, who brought the spider lady, hired a carriage and went back ahead of me.

I could dash back if I wanted, but I’m planning to enjoy the capital life a bit longer.

After all, I’ve got new companions with some serious muscle power──Ms. Joa and Ms. Claire, the centaurs.

Ms. Joa is an 18-year-old noble lady from a renowned centaur family, with a pristine white horse body and silver hair.

She’s supposed to be a level 15 junior knight.

Ms. Claire is Ms. Joa’s attendant, a beautiful woman of 22.

She’s a level 18 mounted archer with a chestnut horse body.

Her chestnut wave hair is quite fetching.

Both are slaves, so their skills are sealed.

But even then, they’ve got the strength of a regular horse, which should be plenty useful.

If they weren’t, I’d be out of luck.

Ms. Nina didn’t say much about my impulsive purchase of the two.

She just didn’t talk to me until the next morning.

Keeping slaves as pets is pretty normal for nobles.

If I’d bought female slaves, it might have been a bloodbath, but since centaurs are exotic to Ms. Nina, I just barely got away with it.

Now I just need to show that it wasn’t a waste.

Ever since I left Ms. Joa and Ms. Claire at the stable, the inn’s stable hands have been looking at me with a new kind of respect.

They say a male centaur’s member is bigger than a grown man’s arm and is a symbol of virility.

Any man who sees the real thing is bound to lose some confidence.

Having 2 female centaurs seems to have caused some misunderstandings.

With me being a summon Hero and all, some weird rumors have started to spread.

Thanks to that, even the inn’s daughters are peeking at my crotch with red faces.

If the rumors get any worse, I’d better hurry back to Toyata village.

Luckily, both Ms. Joa and Ms. Claire have only recently become slaves, so their minds aren’t broken yet.

I can still talk to them normally and they seem to have their own will.

As long as I, their master, don’t praise or scold them, their subservience skill won’t activate, so I think it’ll be fine as long as I keep that in mind.

It’s really disappointing that the subservience skill is stopping Ms. Joa’s incredible lance charge skill and Ms. Claire’s strong bow skills from being used.

They should be really strong, but it looks like they accidentally got caught in a strong trap set up for unicorns during a slave hunt.

A trap… even for high-level adventurers, cleverly placed traps are a threat.

Setting traps requires quite a bit of dexterity, which might actually suit me.

Getting caught in a unicorn trap is like getting a bycatch while fishing.

Because centaur slaves don’t have an established distribution route, they apparently don’t sell very well.

They’re like rare local fish sold only at regional fishing ports.

Since both of them are beautiful, if I hadn’t bought them, they likely would have been sold to some perverted gentleman for his enjoyment.

It seems like it’s possible to ride a centaur if you have special saddles, but looking into it, they’re quite expensive.

If it’s normal horse gear, I might be able to find a set for about 100,000 gold if I look for used ones, but for centaurs, I’d have to custom order.

They say a complete set costs at least 2 million, so that’s on hold for now.

Another option is a carriage, but that’s also pricey.

More importantly, the Mr. Zenom household doesn’t have a garage.

I could temporarily keep it in the courtyard, but it would get in the way of various tasks.

I’ll put off decisions about the centaur gear for now.

In the afternoon, I’m going to the thrift shop with Ms. Nina. Even though it’s called a thrift shop, it’s actually a high-end store that Ms. Floria introduced to me.

Since all clothing in this world is custom-made, it’s common to wait half a year from ordering to receiving it.

At a thrift shop, you can get things right away and for cheap; apparently, even lower-ranking nobles wear second-hand clothes for everyday wear.

Ms. Ant is my bodyguard, Ms. Aqua is playing knight with a wig instead of a helmet to guard Ms. Nina, and Ms. Ann is watching our stuff at the inn.

I really appreciate having the 3 Antfolk with me.

The closer we get, the less I can imagine being apart from them.

I’ll ask Ms. Hoa to let me keep the 3 of them.

The shop I’m after is located in the trade district, not far from Noble Town.

The whole trade area is surrounded by a 3-meter-high brick wall, making it hard for shady people to sneak in and out.

Because I’ve got 2 bodyguards with impressive gear, the gatekeeper didn’t say anything.

I guess looks matter for humans too.

The street lined with secondhand stores also has noble carriages parked along it.

The way slaves are treated like pretty much pets or animals is just… disturbing…
