Volume 5 Chapter 18 The Beautiful Man In Men’s Clothing

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

After confirming with Tizzy that Ms. Shirakaba had finished changing, I opened the door. The room was brightly lit by daylight-colored magic light. Steady lighting was rare in this world, making it feel like I’d returned to Japan.

Skills and magic in this world evolve automatically based on the user’s image, even without an editor skill. The light magic created by a past summoning hero is now called “Keikoutou (lamp)” and has been copied and spread among summoning heroes. It’s not an LED, which makes you feel the times.

Unfortunately, I can’t use light magic. Even though I can analyze the magic code with my editor skill, some of the code rights for constructing light magic haven’t been granted to Stargazer. There are some pretty strict job bindings.

The “Eternal Candlestick” life skill I can use flickers like a candle flame, dimly. In a world of swords and magic, this has its own charm, I think. Since I have owl-like night vision, I don’t even need lighting to begin with.

”Amada. That… well, anyway, let me start by saying thank you.”

Wearing Ms. Nina’s clothes, Ms. Shirakaba looks like a woman. No, her gender is undoubtedly female. There must be some reason she was in men’s clothing, but it’s surprising to find someone actually doing things like in manga. Surprisingly, no one seems to notice.

It would have been nice to belong to the relatively orderly Professor Bernstein’s group. There seem to be people who would make a move on a man without a second thought.

”By the way, has Tizzy been causing you any trouble? She’s really a good girl, but she’s the type that’s easily misunderstood.”

Tizzy being a troublemaker is business as usual. Whether she’s a good girl or not aside, she seems to be a troublemaker for sure.

”Well, as long as it’s Sir Shirakaba, it’s terrible~desuwa.”

Tizzy clings to Ms. Shirakaba affectionately.

Now that I think about it, back in middle school, there were girls who formed a close-knit group in the same class. I feel like they were always sticking to each other a lot. I thought they were just fooling around, but I wonder how it actually was? These two also seem kind of like that.

”Amada, um, did you know that I’m a girl?”

I kind of thought so, but I never bothered to confirm. I think I acted like a gentleman, though it ended up meaning nothing in the end. I want to keep my skill a secret, so I’ll just dodge the question here.

”By the way, Professor Bernstein said only men are summoned, didn’t he?”

The professor’s theory is denied by Ms. Shirakaba’s existence, but it’s true that female summoned heroes are extremely rare. Does that mean there are exceptions to everything?

”I… even though my body is female, I believe my heart is male, so I think I was summoned to this world. If possible, I would have preferred reincarnation over summoning, and it would have been great if I could have been born as a male in my new body.”

Reincarnation, huh. I don’t know whether it’s true or not, but there are those in this world who claim to be reincarnated heroes. They don’t have summoning bonuses, and their memories are too vague to use knowledge cheats. They’re often treated as frauds, but at least they truly believe they were reborn.

I can’t say much about it since my summoning bonus is just (luck+1), but at least I have the knowledge of an average high school student. It’s not much of a cheat, but depending on how it’s used, it can be pretty useful.

”Oh my, I couldn’t bear for Sir Shirakaba to be reincarnated as a man. Men are so rough and filthy.”

Are you in elementary school? When you’re a kid, boys and girls play separately, right? But once you become a middle schooler, you start thinking about romance, and that becomes the priority.

Oh dear, a couple of a woman who wanted to be a man and a woman who hates men. Well, love is a personal thing. Do as you like.

But in this world, homosexuality is supposed to be quite a taboo.

Apparently, a fanatical secret society of men once went on a rampage. They couldn’t leave any descendants and were said to have died out within a single generation.

It is said that there are still settlements of only women, like the Amazons of Greek mythology. They are feared because they capture and kill men.

With that in mind, the world’s view of homosexuality is harsh. It is said to be common among those of high status, but they seem to be confined by their families or put in a convent.

Will Ms. Shirakaba and Tizzy also go to the convent? Well, it has nothing to do with me.

”That’s right, I didn’t really want to be a man. I hated the existence of myself as a woman. When I was in Japan, I didn’t have a place anywhere, and the other world wasn’t a utopia either. I wish I had just been killed by a dragon.”

Ms. Shirakaba suddenly gives a bombshell statement.

I think she’s very serious, but it’s a typical symptom of chuunibyou, as I’ve heard.

It’s not strange for a teenager to worry about searching for a place to belong, which doesn’t exist anywhere. In fact, it might even be healthy. People who appeal to death are said to be actually lonely and want attention, but in times like these, is it better to leave them alone? Huh? Maybe I shouldn’t have left them alone. The hedgehog’s dilemma, right? In short, you just have to get along with them at an appropriate distance. Even if she’s beautiful, she’s a bit troublesome.

”Well, Professor and Mr. Kondou were worried about Ms. Shirakaba.”

Come to think of it, the rescue team didn’t come after all. If they had come, it might have become troublesome, but it’s a little lonely that no one came to help.

”No, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for worrying everyone. It’s not that I’m bothered by being helped by Amada. I’m grateful that you saved me from the dragon at the risk of your life. That… at the risk of your life, or rather, by using your wits… I think it’s a bit much to seduce the dragon with erotic figures. No… that’s artistic, so it’s safe, right?”

Ms. Shirakaba remembered something and suddenly turned bright red and started fidgeting. Ah, now that I think about it, I replicated this person’s entire body and played around with it. Even if it was fixed with magic, she had consciousness, which means she saw the entire process of its creation.

I didn’t have any impure feelings, but I did pile on and carve away as my libido dictated. That’s fine, art is an explosion.

But, well, I arbitrarily used a girl’s naked body as a model, so I can only apologize profusely here.

”Um, that… I’m very sorry. I thought that was the only way to persuade Schulz…”

”N-no. It’s okay, I understand. That was art, and it wasn’t at all lewd. Rather, I was happy, or rather, moved that it was made so beautifully? That… in an artistic sense…”

Good. At least Ms. Shirakaba didn’t seem angry. She was a little flustered, probably because she was embarrassed, but it’s fine if she’s not angry. Rather, the girlish Ms. Shirakaba is fresh and a little cute.
