Chapter 112 The Protagonist (♀) and the Heroine Begin Their Joint Task!

”I’m going to crush you! Sacred Artifact¹, activate: ‘Golden Axe of Hermes’ – ‘Golden Axe Drama’!” Alexia shouted.
”I’ll punish you! Sacred Artifact activate: ‘Hyperbola of Light Fragments’ and ‘Twin Fangs of the Wind-Cutter’ – ‘Twin Storm’!” Karentisia countered.
”You little brats! Do you attack me knowing I am Zaidra Notra of the Underworld? Don’t screw with me! Ankijutsu²: ‘Earth Fist’!” Zaidra bellowed.
DOGOOOOM!!
The battle had already begun. Why are the girls in this world – this reality – so bloodthirsty? As a peace-loving bad boy, I just don’t get it. I really don’t understand why those girls are so hot-blooded!
(Well… I suppose I’ll just eat.)
”Alexia-sama… she’s actually started fighting Zaidra. What should we do, Shin-sama?” Seria-chan asked.
”You’re right. For now… let’s just eat our lunch first, Seria-chan,” Shin replied.
”…Excuse me?”
”It’s a crushing, cheering, grand-slamming slice! Silver Axe!” Alexia yelled.
”That mongrel Shin is my pet! I’m not handing him over to anyone! Mutual Slaughter!” Karentisia screamed.
”Gwah! You’re just tiny brats! How the hell do you have this kind of power?! Ankijutsu: Earthen Commotion!” Zaidra cried out.
DOGOOOOM!!
Tatta-tatta-ta! Tatta-tatta-ta! Tatta-tatta-tan! Tatta-tatta-ta-tan-ta-tan-tan-da-da-da!
”It roasted up perfectly! I did a pretty good job, even if I do say so myself. Here, Seria-chan. It’s fresh off the fire, so be careful not to burn yourself when you eat it,” Shin said.
”Ah, th-thank you very much, Shin-sama. Nibble…”
(She’s actually eating it! As expected of Seria-chan, she’s popular even for a hidden heroine. Her design is top-tier and she’s just so cute.)
”Enjoying an elegant lunch with Alexia and the others’ fierce battle as a backdrop… now this is how you eat! Right, guys?” Shin asked.
”Kyu-kyu!” Tonjiru-kun chirped.
”Oink-oink!!” the others chimed in.
I was feeding Tonjiru-kun and the rest some vegetables harvested from my hidden base, too. Since they’re the emergency rations for the rest of our journey, I need them to keep getting nice and plump. I have to make sure they’re well-fed. (The ’emergency rations’ bit is mostly a joke, of course.)
”Um… Shin-sama… Is it really okay not to help Alexia-sama and Karentisia-sama? If they lose, they’ll be taken hostage,” Seria-chan said.
She looked over at them with a worried expression. She was actually concerned about those two powerhouses.
”I think they’ll be fine. Alexia traveled through the Lax Empire, and Karentisia-chan went through the Anclear Forest. It looks like they both leveled up quite a bit during their trips,” Shin explained.
”…’Leveled up’?”
”Yeah. Leveled up. I mean, they’re the main characters of this world, after all. Their innate talent is just on a completely different level than mine. I had to train like a madman since I was a kid just to get this strong,” Shin said.
”?”

”I’m bringing it down!” Alexia roared.
”Just give it up already!” Karentisia yelled.
CRACK!
”Dammit! I’m a grown man, and I’m being overpowered?! What the hell is going on? What’s with this silver-haired girl’s insane strength?!” Zaidra gritted his teeth.
(This is crazy. Why am I being pushed back?! My physical strength is supposed to be top-tier, even in the Underworld. And that dual-wielding elf…)
”Your movements are too damn irregular!! Don’t screw with – Gah!”
THOOM!!
That was the third time he’d been sent flying. His ribs were definitely toast. (Dammit! Wasn’t this supposed to be an easy job? Just kidnap the brat from the Great Noble Seyfried family? That’s what the Echo Witch said! This isn’t what I signed up for. And that Shin Seyfried kid isn’t even looking at me! He’s just sitting there elegantly stuffing his face. Don’t you mock me!!)
”Ankijutsu: Earthen Cataclysm!” Zaidra roared.
This was his most powerful technique. With this, he intended to shred both girls at once.
”Karentisia-chan! Here comes a big one!” Alexia warned.
”Sync with me! Churidince!” Karentisia commanded.
”‘Golden Axe Mutual Storm’!” the two girls shouted in unison.
”My attack… was reflected that easily? No way! I am the great Zaidra Notra, a name feared in the Underworld! There’s no way I can lose to these snot-nosed little – GYAAAAAAH!”
Taking the combined technique head-on, Zaidra slipped into unconsciousness.

”Gueeeeh!”
While we were enjoying our elegant meal, a charred pervert came flying toward us.
”Ah! Looks like they just finished up. Wow. As expected of the Protagonist and the Heroine. Their strength is totally off the charts. So scary, so scary…” Shin muttered while trembling.
”…I can’t believe Zaidra was defeated that easily. I’m in shock,” Seria-chan said, her voice shaking.
”Kyu-kyu…” Tonjiru-kun whimpered.
”Oink-oink…” the others echoed.
Because we all saw certain things on that pervert that should never be seen by human eyes… we all ended up puking up everything we’d just eaten.

A mid-tier Underworld villain named Zaidra Notra attacks the group, intending to kidnap Shin for the ‘Echo Witch.’ While Alexia and Karentisia engage in a violent battle using their Sacred Artifacts, Shin casually prepares a barbecue for Seria and their animal companions. The girls eventually defeat the villain with a combined move, but the sight of the charred and partially exposed Zaidra causes the entire group to lose their lunch.

• Karentisia – An elf heroine who uses dual-wielding styles (‘Hyperbola of Light Fragments’ and ‘Twin Fangs of the Wind-Cutter’). Highly protective of Shin. An elf who recently joined the party. Shin refers to her as a ‘lewd elf’ or ‘degenerate elf’ due to her revealing, patched-up clothing. She considers herself the ‘straight man’ (tsukkomi) of the group and is prone to hitting Shin when he acts like a ‘mutt.’
• Zaidra – A male elf (?) and antagonist who serves the Witch. He wears patched rags similar to Karentisia and is on a mission to capture Shin Seyfried for the Witch’s reincarnation.
• Seria – A formerly cursed assassin, now a hidden heroine with a cute appearance, joins Shin’s party after a Greenwood Village discussion. Polite and easily worried, she travels with him, reacting anxiously to chaos and seeming timid around former associates.
• Right – An upperclassman frustrated with ten-year-old Alexia’s presidency who initially supported Lilith (‘Lili-tan’) for the role. He represents the ‘cute girl fetish’ faction, rips up the magic paper in anger, and engages in heated debates with Left about the academy’s bizarre political landscape and student obsessions.
• Shin Seyfried – The protagonist and ‘Villainous Heir.’ A fan of the original game world who views characters through a ‘stan’ lens. He is protective of his ‘favorites’ and often engages in meta-commentary about game roles.
