Chapter 77 The Villainous Heir Embraces Evil and the Fallen Angel Descends Chaos Ensues

Shin-sama! ¹ You’re safe! I’m so relieved, desuwa! Lala-chan squealed, clutching me tightly.
Meow! My master’s returned to his super-duper adorable, handsome boy self, nyaa! But Master, you just keep getting cuter every day, nyaa! As your partner, Luna is so proud, nyaa! Luna, my cat familiar, was panting heavily.
Lala-chan was clinging to me, and Luna-kun was just gasping for breath. I don’t know why that little guy was panting so much, though.
”It’s all over, Lala-chan… Let’s go home now. Back to the Regain Kingdom, okay?” I told her, feeling a wave of relief.
”Eh? You don’t need to rule the Lax Empire, Shin-sama? Your popularity is massive right now! You’re being worshiped by everyone in the Holy City as the Holy Maiden Shin-chan who saved the Lax Empire! We could use that adoration to take control of the Lax Empire, especially now that Pope Cera (He/him) is gone, desuwa!” Lala-chan gasped.
That was a lot of new information, wasn’t it? What is this Holy Maiden Shin-chan stuff? I’m just a kid, so I don’t really get it.
”Hmm! Well, the Alys Magic Academy festival is coming up soon, so I think I’ll pass on the ruling for now… Freedom is the best, after all. Also, this Lax Empire needs some kind of trial going forward. A test so that every single citizen can learn to think and act for themselves, you know?” I mused, shaking my head.
”A trial… desu no?” Lala asked, utterly confused.
”Yeah. That’s why I’m not going to interfere with the Lax Empire at all. Except for food supply, of course… Fenrir-kun? Are you here?”
As soon as I called Fenrir-kun’s name, she appeared from the altar, still in her great beast form.
”…Ah, I’m here,” she rumbled, her voice deep and direct.
”It’s about time for us to head back, so are you all set?” I confirmed.
”Yes. All my errands are done. The proper farewells, too. I’ve instructed my duplicates to protect the Lax Empire for a while,” Fenrir confirmed.
(Shin-kun… I’m tired now… so let me rest a little bit.) A small, tired thought drifted into my mind.
Just as expected of Fenrir-kun, she handled all those other tasks while I was busy fighting. It sounds like Yulize-chan was with Fenrir-kun as well, even in her lizard mark ² state. Now we can finally go home.
”Okay, okay! Got it! Then, Lala-chan, let’s ride on Fenrir-kun’s back.”
”Wha?! Shin-sama! Are you going to give me a princess carry, desu no?!” Lala squealed, her face turning pink.
”Lala-chan, you’re light as always… This was a sudden visit, but I’ll come back someday. I truly hope that by then, this will have become a great country. That’s why I’m deliberately choosing not to interfere with the issues your country faces. You all need to grow strong with your own power, not the fake strength of that Pope Cera (He/him)… Goodbye, Lax Empire! Until we meet again!”
A MIGHTY ROAR exploded from Fenrir as she started moving.
With those final words, I rode off on Fenrir-kun’s back, quietly leaving the Lax Empire behind.
If I got any more involved, nothing good would come of it, you know?
Now, I’ll just leave the future of Alysphia (World) to Schuna-chan, Yuna-chan, and the other members of the Eight Saints…

”H-Hey, who are you two?! You can’t just climb onto our Red-chan like that, that’s wrong, nano yo! And those lewd outfits! You’re absolutely shameless, nano!” Alexia’s furious voice echoed through the sky.
”It’s fine, isn’t it? We’re going the same way home,” a calm voice countered.
”That’s right, desuwa. We’re going to be living together from now on. Let’s all get along,” another, cheerier voice added.
”Sniff, sniff… Alexia-sama! These people smell strongly of Shin-sama!” Red the small dragon whined.
”Mgh! …You’re cheating, Shin-kun, aren’t you?! W-When we get back to the boy’s dorm, I’m doing a full infidelity check, nano yo! Shin-kun!” Alexia screamed, the wind whipping past her face.

— A Few Days Later – The Town on the Border Street between Regain Kingdom and Lax Empire
After the battle with Pope Cera (He/him), we took our time heading toward the Regain Kingdom. We want to do some sightseeing, after all.
”Oh, wow. It looks pretty lively around the Regain Kingdom! There are so many souvenir shops, Lala-chan,” I noted, looking around the bustling town.
”Shin-sama! Saying you won’t let me sleep tonight… It’s still only lunchtime, so you’re getting ahead of yourself, desu wa!” Lala responded, utterly misinterpreting my statement as romantic intent.
”Huh? I didn’t say anything like that, though? Is Lala-chan’s head full of flowers, or something?” I asked, bewildered.
…She was rescued safely from the Lax Empire, and this is how she acts right away. Just like Lala-chan; she’s a mental strength champion, I guess.
”…Master… the two sisters and the three girls you’re close with are coming this way at incredible speed,” Fenrir (now in human form, I presume) chuckled, observing the outside of the souvenir shop.
”Huh? The sisters and three girls? Who are you talking about, Fenrir-kun?” I asked, a sense of confusion bubbling up.
A powerful, rushing sound cut through the air.
”We’re home now! Shin-sama, good night!” The voices of the two nun sisters ³ announced as they returned to my shadow, completely uninvited.
”Once you enter a shadow, you should take a bath first,” a stern voice followed.
…Shlurp.
First, the nun sisters nonchalantly returned by slipping into my shadow without asking.
”Ah—! I finally found you, Shin-kun! Cheating means decapitation, I absolutely won’t forgive youuuu, nano!” Alexia, wielding her gigantic golden axe and looking completely enraged, shrieked.
”Shin-sama! It’s so good to see you again!” Layla chirped, somehow smiling brightly while also looking murderous.
”KyuLala—!” Red-kun roared, having taken his small dragon form.
”Alexia, Layla-chan, and Red-kun… Why are you all here?” I asked, completely overwhelmed.
Karentisia, one of the heroines, then glared at me, a massive harisen (slapping fan) ⁴ clutched in her hand.
”…I finally remembered, you Stupid Dog… All the humiliations I suffered from you in the past! I won’t forgive you, Shin Seyfried!! Give back my Elven ceremonial dress and my underwear!! You perverted loyal dog!!” she screamed, her voice shaking with aristocratic rage.
”Yelp?! Karentisia-chan, what are you talking about? Why are you so angry? And what are you planning to do with that very, very big harisen?” I yelped, suddenly afraid.
”Be quiet! You Stupid Dog! You… you had the nerve to steal my precious things… and my heart, too! You idiotic dog!!” she raged, her hand tightening on the fan.
WHAP!
She brought the giant fan down with a powerful strike that echoed through the busy street.
”Yelp?!” I cried out.
And so, we managed to rescue Lala-chan safely and reunite with our other companions.
However, because of this rescue journey, all the past villainous deeds I, the heir, committed against Karentisia-chan became known to the heroines, which will probably lead to another story. So, this story ends here with a happy ending… for now.
…Because Karentisia-chan remembered everything, what’s going to happen to my future life as the Villainous Heir? I’m honestly so worried about it!
