Chapter 82 The Villainous Heir’s Escape Into The Deep Woods Mystery

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

 The Castle Balcony

Standing on a balcony in a private chamber of the Regain Kingdom’s Royal Castle, a beautiful woman gazed out at the night-shrouded sky. The fog was thick and low over the capital.

”I sensed a disruption at the Alys Magic Academy, and dispatched my most trusted to investigate. Yet, it seems you have slipped away, Shin,” the Grand Chancellor murmured, her tone a blend of chilling confidence and amusement.

A deferential man—her attendant—stepped into the room. “Your Excellency, reports have arrived from those sent to the Academy.”

”Speak, then. I shall hear it.” She commanded coolly.

”They state he ascended high into the heavens and vanished. Furthermore, his magical signature headed south. Most likely, he is bound for the Deep Woods territory.” The attendant reported with professional formality.

”Indeed?” A soft, dark chuckle escaped the woman’s lips. “It is said that one must let a beloved child journey forth to the world. It is vital for him to see the world, to broaden his horizons, is it not? Perhaps we shall simply allow him to proceed.”

”Your Excellency? Is something amiss?” the man inquired, a trace of concern in his controlled voice.

”No, merely a thought spoken aloud,” she dismissed him lightly. (Even one such as he, having defeated three of my agents, has become quite active now, hasn’t he? I hope this does not escalate into a tragedy. Will the seal beneath the city be completed in time… Father-in-law?)

The intellectual woman glanced down at the Royal Capital beneath her. Her gaze pierced the swirling night mist, fixed on the subterranean ruins where darkness was surely festering.

 The Kingdom Border

”Wow! We flew through the Regain Kingdom’s night sky with incredible speed! You’re amazing, Red-kun!” I exclaimed, trying to sound encouraging.

 ’Chir-Lala!!’

Red-kun really is something. To think he flew non-stop for hours and brought us all the way to the Regain Kingdom border! And he’s still only growing, too. It’s kinda shocking.

”Oh, I’m going to throw up, desuwa!” groaned Yulize-chan. “I’ve aerially dispersed my vomit for all to see!”

”My body has become one with the wind, desu!” Schuna-chan followed up breathlessly.

’Kyu-ooww…’ (I caught some of the throw-up!) wailed Yuna-chan in her draconic squeak.

Yup, my Geroys—the ones who live in my body and shadow—were all throwing up. It was gross, naturally.

”…That’s foul,” Karentisia scoffed, pinching her nose. “You three, there’s a river over there. Go jump in it. Get clean now!”

She tossed out the cruel words at the Geroys, her nose all wrinkled up.

”…Shut up, desuwa!” Yulize snapped back. “You’re an Elf, and protected by some special divine blessing, so you wouldn’t get airsick. But we’re not much different from humans! We get sick when we’re shaken around like that!”

”Yeah… it felt good, though. I almost squirted something!” Schuna giggled with an unsettling hint of pleasure.

’Kyu-aahh…’ (What in the world is this older sister saying?) Yuna whimpered, utterly confused.

Hmmm. I might need to let them rest for a bit. It’s going to be tough dragging them along in this state.

”Yulize-chan, you can turn back into your Lizard Mark and rest inside me. Schuna-chan and Yuna-chan, you both go back into my shadow and recover, okay?”

I leaned close to the three of them, whispering so Karentisia-chan couldn’t hear.

”…Shin-sama, thank you so much, desuwa… I’ll take your offer and return to the shadow,” Yulize breathed gratefully.

”…When I’m all better, play with me, Shin,” Schuna purred provocatively.

’Kyu-ru-lu…’ (Good night, Shin-kun) Yuna trilled.

A flash of white light momentarily lit up the dark area around Yulize-chan and the others, and then they were gone the next second.

”Huh? Why did the perverted sisters and the baby white dragon just vanish?” Karentisia gasped in surprise.

She was shocked, wasn’t she? They’d just entered my body and shadow, that’s all. But if I told her they were living inside me and my shadow, she’d call me a pervert again, so I had to cover it up.

”They probably used teleportation magic to go somewhere they could rest. They were throwing up, after all,” I explained quickly.

”Teleportation magic? Those perverted sisters and that baby white dragon? I don’t think they’re capable of that…” Karentisia mused, falling into silence. (He clearly doesn’t want me to pry. It’s too risky to ask more. If a fight broke out, it would be two-on-one… no, if those two and the one creature joined in, it would be five-on-one. I couldn’t win that.)

She stayed silent, probably analyzing everything. I don’t want to be enemies with Karentisia-chan even a little bit, though.

…Now that I think about it, the fog was only thick around the Regain Royal Capital, wasn’t it? As soon as we left the city, it cleared right up. First, it was the Lax Empire, and now I get back and the Regain Kingdom is starting to act weird, too?

 ’Chir-Lala-ra!’

”Huh? You want to go back to your nest and rest your wings? …Well, I guess that makes sense. Flying between the Regain Kingdom and the Lax Empire must have pushed you to your limit, Red-kun.”

 ’Kyu-wa-Lala…’

When I looked closely at Red-kun, I saw small scrapes on his legs and feet. He wasn’t showing it in his face, but I could tell he was exhausted. I definitely needed to let him rest.

”Okay, I understand, Red-kun. I can handle myself just fine, so you take it easy, okay?”

 ’Chir! Kyu-oooh!’

Red-kun rubbed his body all over mine. His sharp dragon scales were pressing hard and drawing blood, but my Automatic Restoration (Auto-Heal) would kick in, so I wasn’t worried. It still hurt, though.

”Yeah… when you’re all better, let’s go on another adventure, okay? Bye-bye!”

 ’Chir-Lala-ra~!’

And just like that, Red-kun flew back to the Seyfried Territory, leaving only Karentisia-chan and me behind.

Still, it seems like someone really wanted me out of the Regain Kingdom, even using Layla-chan, the granddaughter of the Alys Magic Academy’s principal. What should I do? I rushed out of the Academy in a burst of energy, but I’ve got absolutely no plan on where to go next.

”Oh, this is a real problem, isn’t it? It’s just Karentisia-chan and me left. Where should we head to from here?”

”Oh my god, what if my little lapdog turns into a wolf right here and now? What if he attacks me? Just like that time by the spring when we were children! Will I be eaten this time? Eaten by the wolf that my lapdog turned into? Oh, nooo///”

While I was saying goodbye to Red-kun, Karentisia-chan got all worked up by herself. What was she fantasizing about? I was curious, honestly.

 ”…Are you alright, Karentisia-chan?” I asked cautiously.

”I-I’m fine! It’s not like before! I’m mentally prepared! M-My feelings about the past aside, I’ve been watching you ever since we started at the Alys Magic Academy, and I’ve come to trust you. You always help me when I’m in trouble in class, and you’re always putting on strange events that rope in the whole class and make things fun every day. And all the food you sell at your stalls and stands—was that the word?—is always delicious! T-That’s why, if you were to eat me up deliciously today, there wouldn’t be a single problem! Just be gentle with me for the first time! Especially Elves—our ears are a weak spot! And later on, personally, my butt hole…”

”…Uh, Karentisia-chan. I think I get that you’re a total Super Perverted Secretly Horny Elf now, so let’s calm down for a minute, okay? For now, when the sun rises, let’s head to the nearest village. We can figure out our next steps there…” I interrupted, my voice full of resignation.

”W-Who are you calling a Super Perverted Secretly Horny Elf! I’ll blow you away!” she screamed, totally flustered.

”G-Guh?! …You already did blow me away!” I yelled back.

 THWOOM!

I was hit by Karentisia-chan’s full-force punch and sent flying straight into a large rock nearby. Seriously, what did I even say that was so bad? Woe is me!

 Summary:

The secretive Grand Chancellor of the Regain Kingdom reveals she’s been watching the protagonist, Shin, after his chaotic escape from the Alys Magic Academy, confirming his route toward the dangerous Deep Woods. Meanwhile, Shin and his companions—the highly perverse spirits (Geroys) and the aloof Elf, Karentisia—reach the kingdom’s border, having pushed the young White Dragon, Red-kun, to exhaustion. After dismissing his motion-sick entourage for recovery, Shin attempts to plan his next move with Karentisia, only to discover she’s prone to escalating, surprisingly erotic fantasies, which results in a comical, but painful, physical attack as they stand at the precipice of their next fantasy adventure.

 Character Insight:

Shin remains good-natured and oblivious, even when his personal space is invaded by the perverse Geroys or he’s getting hit by Karentisia. He shows a tender side by prioritizing Red-kun’s rest, proving his core decency despite his ‘villainous heir’ title. Karentisia’s true nature as a ‘Super Perverted Secretly Horny Elf’ is fully revealed, adding a chaotic and comedic dimension to their dynamic. She tries to maintain her high-class composure but melts into explicit fantasy when triggered, showcasing her deep, if aggressive, trust in Shin.

 —

 Behind the Scene:

This chapter is a pivotal moment, successfully moving the protagonist out of the immediate political hotspot of the Regain Capital (symbolized by the clearing fog) and into the unknown. The Grand Chancellor’s monologue establishes her as the cold, calculating antagonist pulling the strings, confirming that Shin’s journey is being managed. The chapter sets up a classic adventure trope—the unplanned journey into the Deep Woods—while reinforcing the core comedic relationship between the gentle protagonist and the violently tsundere Elf who is secretly a pervert.

Notes:

• Fim – The Pope Cera’s chief aide and the de facto second-most powerful man in the Lax Empire. Yellowish hair. He is a self-important, theatrical man with a perverted obsession with the young hero, Shin. He wears expensive suits, which are quickly destroyed when he transforms. His loyalty is twisted and ultimately self-serving, seeing the Empire as his personal playground.

• Uru – The wolf.

• Lala – Delusional saint candidate from the Lax Empire who becomes fanatically devoted to Shin, founding a religion in his name and often speaking with the quirky suffix ‘~desuwa’

• Yuna – female of high religious/political standing, specifically holding the title of High Priestess and being one of the Eight Sacred Lords of the Lax Church. Her outer appearance is suggested by the fact that her opponent, Yuriyuri, was wearing her stolen nun’s habit after the confrontation. Her role as an intruder in the Seyfried Territory led to her defeat and capture by her adversary, Yuriyuri.
