Chapter 93 A Fairy King’s Final Wish and a Villain’s Comedic Dread after the Calamity Battle
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Gii-gi-gi… Why? We still have so much more to evolve! With this body, we could reach even greater heights… evolve into the most Arrogant Calamity! Why did you refuse that? Why did you reject our wish? …Oberon… that was meant to be the stage given to you…” the monstrous, vanishing Calamity seethed.
”One can always resist the stage, even if it is assigned,” the echo of Oberon replied, his voice nobly resigned. “That is why I chose death and tried to discard this body. Yet, you killed me right before I could die, swapped bodies, and corrupted the Sea of Trees…. Your vessel is completely gone now, Robin Goodfellow.”
”Why is that wrong? …You rejected her wish with your body…. So, we had to take your body instead…. We had to fulfill that promise!” the Calamity insisted, his voice cracking with resentment.
”…The world must be at peace. There is no need for Calamity. It must be a world where young children, like those girls, can live happily. Therefore, I chose peace over any promise,” Oberon stated, his tone unwavering in its determination.
”I should have driven you mad before you ever came to that conclusion…. I should have turned the Demi-humans into Waste Faeries before you brought those wretches here….” the Calamity regretted with a low, churning sound.
”I won’t allow it. I am Oberon, the Fairy King who protects this world. I will absolutely never let you have your way. That is the promise I made to my wife, Titania,” Oberon declared firmly.
”…And by choosing your wife over the Calamity, you die…. You die with us…. Serves you right, benevolent King!” The blob of flesh vanished, leaving that final, petty curse behind.
Robin Goodfellow. The real mastermind in Maidens x Cross-dressing who killed Fairy King Oberon’s wife, Titania, and made Oberon himself drink the [Potion of Madness], causing the downfall of Fae society.
In the game’s final act, he appears as the true secret boss, only to be defeated by the protagonist, Alexia, after she has a ‘night of fun’ with the awakened Karentisia-chan.
…So, a different ending from the game, huh? Well, this is real life, after all. It’s only natural for the outcome to change due to some small difference. Yeah. It’s the same way Alexia and most of the other heroines—except for a select few—woke up to weird fetishes and underwent sub-species evolution, right?
Ugh! When I get back to Alys Magic Academy, the days of being sexually harassed by Alexia and Layla-chan will start all over again! We’re supposed to be archenemies, but why do I end up being used as a body pillow every night?
”…We won, didn’t we? Against an enemy that strong,” Karentisia-chan mumbled, still in a daze. She was staring at the vanished blob and Oberon. Could she still not believe she had delivered the final blow herself?
”Good work, Karentisia-chan. It was a sudden real-world test with your new weapons, but it went great, didn’t it? I’m so happy for you, really happy!” I reassured her, approaching her side.
”Shin… these Sacred Artifacts are amazing. The moment I held them, I just knew how to use them. The ‘Princess’s Silver Blade’ never even gave me a reaction, but these girls accepted me right away!” Karentisia-chan shared, beaming with excitement as I came near.
Well, those two-handed Sacred Artifacts are her exclusive gear, so it’s only natural for her to be compatible with them. But it would be a bit of a downer to say that out loud when she’s so happy.
”That’s great! Compatibility with a Sacred Artifact depends on the user’s race and personality, so the ‘Princess’s Silver Blade’ probably just wasn’t a good match for you. Try using these as your main weapons from now on.”
”I… I got it. Thank you for the present, Shin! I’ll take good care of these Two-handed Sacred Artifacts!” she promised.
”You bet, Karentisia-chan,” I returned, and she smiled at me happily. Lala-chan had told me Karentisia had been feeling down ever since her fake ‘Princess’s Silver Blade’ broke back in the Lax Empire, so I was worried. But she seems okay now.
Anyway, these two-handed weapons were the Sacred Artifact I was going to give her as a reward from the Item Shop, but I never expected to get the Sacred Artifact, ‘Fairy King’s Golden Wing,’ which was supposed to appear in the late-game!
With that, I can even fly—for a limited time, anyway…. Oh! Wait a minute. That means I can finally go there!
”To the Sky Castle! Then I won’t have to get sexually harassed by Alexia and the others every single night!” I thought, chuckling with a creepy, low sound.
”…What’s with that gross laugh, daa’yo, Shin?” Elmia-chan drawled, looking at me with suspicion.
”We survived, meow. We weren’t much help, but we still survived, meow!” Silvia-chan chirped, her voice a simple declaration of relief.
”Meeeh!” the Black Shine Sheep (the fluffy version) bleated. Elmia-chan and Silvia-chan arrived, looking totally beaten up, riding their sheep. Their power is just incredible, the power to just survive.
”Oh, you two are alive, too…. That’s good,” Karentisia-chan remarked, the pause in her sentence lingering.
”…What was with that weird pause, huh, Karen?” Elmia-chan challenged, slightly defensive.
”I-I wasn’t worried about you at all, meow!” Silvia-chan protested.
”…I was worried! From the bottom of my heart! But look here! These are my new Sacred Artifacts, the ‘Twin Curves of Light Fragment’ and the ‘Twin Fangs of Wind Slicer.’ Aren’t they amazing?” Karentisia-chan boasted, holding up her weapons with immense pride.
”…Ugh, I’m so jealous, daa’yo,” Elmia-chan grumbled.
”Exclusive Sacred Artifacts, meow? That’s nice, meow!” Silvia-chan sighed, her simple words carrying a hint of longing.

Summary:
The dust settles after the major battle, marking the end of the Calamity’s physical form. As the villainous Robin Goodfellow vanishes with a final, bitter curse directed at the noble Fairy King Oberon, the triumphant heroines take stock. Karentisia-chan is stunned but quickly finds joy in her new, powerful Two-handed Sacred Artifacts, which replace her broken weapon and symbolize her true strength. Meanwhile, the protagonist, Shin, is relieved by the battle’s success but immediately overcome with comical dread about returning to the romantic-comedy chaos and ‘sexual harassment’ of his everyday Academy life. The unexpected discovery of the Sacred Artifact ‘Fairy King’s Golden Wing’ offers him a tantalizing glimpse of escape to the Sky Castle, highlighting his deep, anxious desire to avoid his affectionate-but-overbearing heroine companions.

Character Insight:
Shin is caught between his meta-knowledge of the Yuri RPG world and the unpredictable reality of his reincarnation. His deep-seated fear of the heroines’ affection (which he views as harassment) is a core conflict, driving his desire to acquire late-game items like the ‘Fairy King’s Golden Wing’ not for power, but for a comedic, self-preservationist flight to the Sky Castle. This insight confirms his primary motivation isn’t world domination, but simply anxious escapism from his peculiar love life.

Behind the Scene:
This scene resolves the immediate threat posed by the Calamity and the corrupted Fairy King Oberon, clearing the path for the characters to return to the Alys Magic Academy setting. The acquisition of the Two-handed Sacred Artifacts by Karentisia-chan, and the unexpected retrieval of the ‘Fairy King’s Golden Wing,’ sets up new plot points involving aerial travel and Shin’s frantic search for a peaceful refuge from the persistent heroines. The contrast between the high fantasy battle and the immediate return to slice-of-life dread is the main comedic focus of this segment.
Notes:
• Oberon – The former Fairy King, currently appearing as the ‘Mysterious Shopkeeper’ but revealing his true identity. He is a wise, cryptic figure who helped Seyfried eliminate a future threat at the cost of his physical form.
• Lala – Delusional saint candidate from the Lax Empire who becomes fanatically devoted to Shin, founding a religion in his name and often speaking with the quirky suffix ‘~desuwa’
• Silvia – Another one of the ‘Hidden Eroins’ from the original game, her full background is not revealed in this chapter, but she is highly protective of ‘Karen’ (Karentisia) and recognizes the Protagonist’s Sacred Artifact. She is easily angered and speaks with an intense, aggressive cat dialect.
