Chapter 100-2 Agreement
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Ugh…! Of all places, Tsuchimiya…!”
A male student glares at me with hatred.
I look closely at his face, but he’s probably a stranger.
My face ended up in the Academy Daily Report.
That was a mistake.
By the way, the fifth issue of the Academy Daily Report was published yesterday.
I should buy it when I get back to the Academy.
”You’re Tsudagawa-kun, right? I’m about to head home, so can you let me through?”
”Not a chance! What the hell are you doing here?”
”I was just exploring normally. There’s no point in stopping me now──”
This seems like a hassle.
Let’s get through smoothly with Kanon’s mind control beam.
”Kanon, can I count on you?”
”Yes! Leave it to me! Flare Bomb!”
”Huh?”
Kanon replied with a big smile and fired the Flare Bomb without a moment’s hesitation, ignoring the atmosphere.
The explosive magic, which dealt massive damage to the floor boss, detonated with a loud noise at Tsudagawa-kun’s feet while he was arguing with Sogahara-senpai.
”Whoa!?”
Though it wasn’t a direct hit, the 5 or 6 people clustered at the entrance were blown away together.
”Gyaah!?”
”It’s hot! It’s so hot!”
”Hey, put out the fire!”
”Damn it! Water Ball!”
Some uniforms caught fire, and the area instantly turned into a hellish scene of screams and chaos.
”You guys! What the hell are you doing?”
I’m sorry!
I didn’t mean for this to happen!
”If you get in the way of Tsuchimiya-senpai’s path to dominance, you’ll end up as crispy bacon! Next time, I’ll hit you directly!”
No, I don’t remember walking that path of carnage!
Sogahara-senpai and the others look pale as they stare at Kanon, but Kanon is proudly striking a pose.
Is this really what Kanon is like!?
Well, I don’t know Kanon very well yet.
”Vice President Sogahara! Are you planning to break the ‘agreement’?”
”N-no! This is not the will of the Student Council!”
As the soaked Tsudagawa charged at me, Sogahara-senpai gave me a troubled glance.
I don’t know what’s going on, but it seems we’re causing trouble.
There’s no helping it.
”I don’t know about your ‘agreement,’ but it has nothing to do with me. Get out of the way!”
Instead of making excuses, we should make it clear that we’re a different group from Sogahara-senpai and the others.
As I moved away from Sogahara-senpai, Kanon, Himeno, and Hano-san followed me, looking nervous.
”That’s right! If you stand in front of Tsuchimiya-senpai, you will only meet death!”
Kanon’s image of me is strange!
I’m a peace-loving gentleman otaku, you know!?
”Damn it! These guys are crazy!”
”So this is Mad Dog Tsuchimiya who stabbed Kibakura-san…!”
”Hey! Call for backup! If we keep getting pushed around, we’ll be in trouble!”
”Vice President Sogahara! Don’t you dare lay a hand on us!”
If this keeps up, my image in society will go down the drain.
”Kanon. About that brainwashing… no, let’s use some kind of wind to calm them down.”
”Yes! Shiny Floral Spring Wind!”
As Kanon raised her magic girl staff, colorful petals of light danced around the room.
The effect was immediate; the men’s expressions softened, and they began to smile foolishly.
”Um… I’m sorry. May I pass through?”
I cautiously spoke to Tsudagawa, who had been furious just moments ago.
”Ah, don’t worry about it! We were wrong too!”
”Yeah! It’s all good between us!”
”Pass through, pass through!”
”Ahihihihih! I can see a flower field!”
Everyone became friendly as if they had changed completely.
What a wonderful and terrifying magic this is!
I wish we had used this from the start.
”Please use this.”
”A healing potion!”
”How thoughtful! Thank you!”
Thanks to Kanon’s magic, they offered 6 extra healing potions, and I accepted and even shook my hand.
They are quite friendly folks, aren’t they?
After all, humans are creatures that use words, and we should solve things with words.
”You are lucky to live without going against Tsuchimiya-senpai.”
Still, I might need to talk slowly with Kanon.
Anwyay, the 4 of us──me, Himeno, Kanon, and Hano-san──returned to the Academy, entering a room with a friendly atmosphere.
* * *
When I informed Lugia-san about what happened on the 3rd floor at the teleportation facility, I was led to the conference room in the back.
Soon after the questioning began, Sogahara-senpai and the others also arrived, guided by the staff.
”Tsuchimiya-kun, I’m sorry about earlier. I’ll explain the ‘agreement’ later.”
”No, the cause was on our side.”
”Was it bad? I’m really sorry.”
Kanon seemed to sense the atmosphere and bowed to Sogahara-senpai.
The questioning started, but it didn’t take much time.
I accurately conveyed only what I saw, and the School Management Committee would investigate the scene and make a judgment later.
The immediate threat has already been eliminated.
To prevent panic from spreading, we were prohibited from speaking about it, but sharing information within each group was allowed.
Lugia-san and the others understand that banning it won’t have much effect.
If we were to keep it truly secret, they would have to detain us.
After the questioning ended and the staff left, we were told, “You can leave whenever,” so we spread out some snacks and chatted.
For some reason, Lugia-san stayed behind, munching on snacks with Njorn.
”I want to ask about the ‘agreement’ you mentioned earlier.”
”It’s understandable that Tsuchimiya-kun doesn’t know. I should have explained it earlier. I’m sorry.”
When I voiced my question, Kijima-senpai bowed.
Then Sogahara-senpai began to speak.
”Right after being summoned to this world, the Academy was more chaotic than it is now when Tsuchimiya-kun and the others were holed up in the dungeon. The students, now more aggressive as Evold, started to rob other students of their loot and tried to enslave them for exploitation, leading to many violent groups clashing. Among them, Kibakura-kun’s group, Demiurge, rapidly expanded its influence. We were also busy cracking down on them, but we were severely understaffed. Ironically, the presence of Demiurge, crushing rivals one after another and keeping an eye on the activities of other factions, helped stabilize the Academy.”
Indeed, the group causing chaos in the Academy now is mostly Demiurge.
Even if they want to rampage, if they stand out too much, they’ll be crushed by Demiurge.
With Demiurge growing this large, it seems we have no choice but to either stay quiet or submit.
In terms of power dynamics, it’s Demiurge and the Student Council, and then everyone else.
Now, we are in the process of establishing the Student Freedom Alliance.
”The problem is that the side being attacked is also the aggressive Evold, and they are armed. The School Management Committee intervened in cases of injury caused by weapons, but it was still a situation where it wouldn’t be surprising if someone died at any moment. At one point, a regular student who got involved with Demiurge fought back, and an incident occurred where they were left in critical condition after a sword fight. This led the regular students to rebel, gathering in the courtyard with weapons in hand. Judging that this could lead to a killing spree among students, Amahara-kun requested a meeting with Kibakura-kun, and the two of us barged into the rugby club room where Kibakura-kun was.”
Oh… Amahara-senpai, don’t be reckless.
”After discussions, an agreement was established between the Student Council and Demiurge not to use blades or offensive magic in disputes between students. Amahara-kun convinced the gathered students, and that led us to the current situation. Although the Student Council and Demiurge are in opposition, the agreement has been upheld so far.”
”I didn’t know that… I’m sorry.”
Kanon bowed her head to the seniors.
”It’s understandable. Many students who aren’t actively involved in faction conflicts often confuse this with the School Management Committee’s directives. Just be mindful from now on.”
”Got it! I’ll be careful!”
”Wait, I did stab Kibakura with a spear. Before that, though, I was attacked with a battle axe by Iwakura in the B-block boys’ dormitory. Instead of stopping him, Kibakura told him to kill me. I guess they figured they could cover it up if I died.”
When I spoke, Sogahara-senpai frowned and exchanged glances with his comrades.
”Back then, Kibakura-kun seemed surprisingly reasonable—a rough but calm leader. But after retreating to the dungeon, reports indicated he became increasingly aggressive, often entering a frenzy during battles. Even after returning from the dungeon, he isolated himself in his room and stopped appearing in public. His subordinates are practically unchecked. Honestly, I doubt Kibakura-kun can make rational decisions now. Listening to your account, Tsuchimiya-kun, the agreement may soon be broken.”
That would mean student-on-student killings could begin.
It was a far more delicate situation than I had imagined.
And Kibakura’s current status remained unknown.
”Understood. I’ll ensure that the Student Freedom Alliance strictly adheres to the agreement.”
”Ah, thank you, Tsuchimiya-kun. I appreciate it.”
That I’m able to live a relatively peaceful life at the Academy is all thanks to Amahara-senpai’s efforts, I suppose.
I couldn’t possibly ruin that.
Just then, Sogahara-senpai’s phone rang, and he checked his phone.
”I just told Amahara-kun that we returned safely, but it’s really convenient to have communication like this.”
I checked my phone too, and found a congratulatory message from Amahara-senpai and another message from Higurashi.
”‘They want me to attend the Student Freedom Alliance representative meeting starting from noon’, huh. Looks like I won’t be able to dive today either.”
”…Got it.”
”Okay, I’ll go dive with Chikako-senpai and the others!”
”Strength-wise, we’re fine, but it’s just not the same without Tsucchi…”
”I can still make it back for the 4th period…I’ll just report back to Maekawa-san and the others for now.”
GC: Hiromin×Akari×Tomoko×Chika×Tsuchimiya
Tsuchimiya: We’ve returned safely.
I’m heading back to class.
Chika: Welcome back!
Tomoko: Welcome back, Tsuchimiya-kun!
Chika: Wait, what about me?
Hiromin: You two must be tired.
Tomoko: Welcome back, Chika-chan!
Akari: Welcome back.
Tsuchimiya-kun, it might be better if you didn’t come to class today.
Hiromin: Yeah, things might get pretty messy.
Tsuchimiya: What’s going on?
Akari: Akiyama Yuuki bragged to everyone that he became friends with Amahara-senpai through the phone’s communication feature.
Hiromin: Everyone thinks they can communicate by asking Tsuchimiya-kun, so it feels like they’re pulling their hands and waiting for Tsuchimiya-kun to arrive.
Tomoko: The way girls look at me is scary~ (>_<)
Tsuchimiya: Got it, I’ll take cover.
For now, I’ll punch that guy.
About 8 times.
Hiromin: That’s a lot!?
Chika: I’m going back to the classroom for now.
Damn you, Akiyama Yuuki.
It might be better to block him.
