The silver-haired Devil with the broom-like hairstyle paused, then added, “But alchemy is the most critical component.”
Aki watched him with growing interest; it seemed he was dealing with a Devil obsessed with alchemy. After a quick scan of the underground lab revealed nothing particularly noteworthy, he shifted his focus back to the broom-headed Devil.
”Hey, you… synthetic monster-milker,” Aki said, his tone flat. “What exactly was that ‘dream’ you mentioned earlier?”
The broom-headed Devil’s hands faltered over the equipment. “You wouldn’t understand even if I explained it. It was a discovery meant to benefit the world, and you’ve gone and ruined it.”
”How do you know I won’t understand if you don’t try?” Aki challenged.
After some persistent prodding from Aki, the Devil finally spilled his secret.
”I’m a Stray Devil,” he spat, his voice heavy with bitterness. “I betrayed my Master solely to research this synthetic beast. The creature combines the traits of a dragon and a plant, capable of absorbing Essence from the bountiful chests of females. Once it reaches a certain threshold, it produces a fruit. Anyone who consumes this fruit, no matter how flat-chested they are, transforms into someone with massive breasts. My dream was to turn every woman in the world into a bombshell, and I’d be content just watching from behind their clothes.”
Aki’s forehead throbbed with a few black lines. He couldn’t personally relate to the Devil’s ideology, as his own preference leaned toward legs and feet. However, thinking of a certain hot-blooded, chest-obsessed pervert he knew, he didn’t find the guy quite as strange anymore.
”I see,” Aki said. He grabbed the broom-headed Devil by the collar. “Stray Devil, in the name of the Gremory Duke family, you are under arrest.”
”…” The broom-headed Devil was stunned. “Wait, we were just talking! Why the sudden change of heart?”
He might not be a good Devil, but he was certainly a real piece of work.
Aki handed the prisoner over to Rias and briefed her on the causes and consequences of the Vampire incident.
”To think a Stray Devil was hiding right near the academy,” Rias remarked, her tone refined and calm. “Koaki, you’ve rendered another great service.”
She ordered Himejima Akeno to transport the bound Devil to the Underworld prison via a magic circle. Aki asked with a trace of doubt, “Buchou, if a guy like this can create such monsters, is this technology widespread?”
”Not widespread, but it’s nothing worth worrying about,” Rias replied. “The synthesis of life using alchemy, magic, and other technologies has been around for a long time. These creatures might look powerful, but they have major flaws. First, they lack the capacity for growth and reproduction. Second, their intelligence is extremely low. Overcoming these flaws requires a massive cost, making mass production impossible.”
”Just using a synthetic beast for breast enhancement and betraying his Master for it…” Rias looked at the Devil kneeling in the magic circle, his eyes glued to her and Akeno’s chests, and said with disgust, “He’s the first of his kind, that’s for sure.”
”Cough, cough…” The broom-headed Devil chuckled darkly. “Thank you for the compliment, Princess of the Gremory household. You truly have a magnificent pair of breasts.”
Aki’s eyes narrowed. “Buchou, can I just kill him?”
Seeing her little man getting jealous, Rias smiled, her face lighting up with a charming, seductive glow. “Koaki, sending him to prison is far more torturous than killing him.”
”Then I’ll teach him a lesson,” Aki declared. He manifested a Light Spear and promptly blinded both of the Devil’s eyes. The creature shrieked, rolling on the ground in agony as the light-attribute power seared through his nerves.
After the Devil was teleported away, Aki visited the Student Council to update Sona Sitri on the situation. The next day, while chatting with Basara Toujou, Aki heard that two more girls had taken leave due to anemia.
”Don’t worry,” Aki told the clearly worried Basara. “There won’t be any more victims.”
”By the way, Aki,” Basara said, “a very cute blonde girl showed up in the first year today. I heard she’s been at home recuperating for a while.”
Aki’s mouth twitched. He hoped it wasn’t who he thought it was.
”Basara, where do you hear all this news?” Aki asked.
”Ah… I made a few friends over the last couple of days,” Basara said, scratching his cheek guiltily.
”Do you mind telling me the names of these friends?”
”Uh…” Basara hesitated, stammering. “It’s Hyoudou, Matsuda, and Motohama from Class E.”
Aki: “…”
The Pervert Trio. That explained everything.
”How did you meet them?” Aki asked.
”They approached me…”
