Ignoring Aki’s constant chattering, Rias turned and headed toward the Student Council room.
”President, wait for me!” Aki scrambled to keep up.
Shitori Sona and Shinra Tsubaki had been waiting for a long time. Once the two arrived, they cut straight to the chase.
”President, I’m telling you, it’s definitely that blond delinquent yokai…”
Aki started his wibi-babu¹ gibberish again, but nobody paid him any mind.
”It’s confirmed that Oida Taisei, a third-year, is the one masterminding this,” Sona said. “The accounts and transaction records all match up.”
She handed Rias several documents-clearly the evidence from her investigation.
”Is it possible that Abiki Mika used a mental spell to control him?” Rias scanned the papers, suggesting one last possibility. “The two of them had contact recently, and Oida Taisei’s motive is still a bit hazy.”
”Unlikely. Abiki Mika isn’t strong enough to control someone like Oida Taisei,” Sona replied after a moment’s thought. “If I’m not mistaken, Oida Taisei is already at B-rank, possibly even A-rank.”
Rias nodded in contemplation. If that was the case, it made sense how the information had leaked. Tsubaki herself was only A-rank. If Oida Taisei had reached B or A-rank, his innate specialty in concealment would have been significantly amplified. It was a case of the prepared versus the unaware. It was perfectly normal that the barrier Tsubaki had casually erected hadn’t worked.
Aki had originally planned to teach Oida Taisei a lesson himself, but hearing their conversation, he instantly lost heart. This victim-archetype antagonist didn’t play by the rules. One moment he was a common thug, and the next he’d suddenly become a Great Blond Yokai. He wasn’t following the script at all.
”President, what about Hakada Tetsuya?” Aki asked. “Was he expelled?”
”No. We contacted the victimized girl, and she said she wouldn’t press charges.”
Sona tried to keep her voice flat, but Aki could still hear the underlying helplessness. “That girl took a liking to Hakada. In fact, she seems to have awakened some strange fetish-she wants Hakada to be her boyfriend, but she refuses to stop seeing other men…”
Aki was floored. “Well, that’s… that.”
If Hakada actually liked the girl, this was probably more painful than being expelled. If not, well, a bitch and a dog-they truly belonged together forever. He wished them a long life of misery together so they wouldn’t go out and ruin anyone else’s life. As expected of the Inner 2D World, it always found new ways to show Aki the sheer depravity of the world.
”Regarding Oida Taisei, what he’s done so far only warrants a suspension at most, not expulsion,” Sona told Aki. “But during our investigation, we discovered he has a next move planned. After ruining your reputation, he wants your life.”
”Aki, do you really not know why Oida Taisei is targeting you?” Rias’s gaze sharpened, radiating a dangerous aura. “This feels like more than just simple jealousy.”
Aki spread his hands helplessly. What could he do? Being this handsome just naturally drew aggro.
”President, I honestly don’t know,” Aki said. “To be fair, this isn’t the first time I’ve been targeted, but it is the first time someone has explicitly wanted me dead.”
Rias believed him. That meant the problem lay with Oida Taisei.
”Sona, what do you plan to do?” Rias asked.
Sona pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose. “Rias, Kuoh Town is your jurisdiction.”
The implication was clear: the Student Council was stepping aside. Rias could handle it however she saw fit. Sona was the administrator on the surface, but anyone with a bit of background knew that the area around Kuoh Academy was Gremory territory.
Rias’s crimson hair fluttered as she spoke with chilling resolve. “Fine. I’ll go meet him personally.”
She had a dominant personality; she was never one to sit back and be passive. Since Oida Taisei had the gall to plot against Aki, she would nip that threat in the bud.
It really is good to have backing, Aki thought. He felt like just giving in and surrendering to her entirely. Becoming Rias’s servant wouldn’t just mean he’d never have to worry about outside threats again. It would mean getting even more intimate with these beautiful girls.
Sona looked at the excited Aki and sighed inwardly. The servant she had her eye on was likely gone for good. The Gremory family’s emotional depth gave them a natural advantage in building bonds. They say sincerity can’t beat a routine, but Rias had the sincerity and the routine. Who could resist that?

Back at the Occult Research Club, Rias had Koneko continue Aki’s training, preferably staying by his side twenty-four hours a day until she had dealt with Oida Taisei. It was called training, but in reality, it was protection.
Three days later, Aki was told the matter had been resolved. Oida Taisei had vanished without a trace, as if he had never existed at Kuoh Academy. Just like that, before he’d even laid eyes on the Blond Yokai, his most dangerous enemy to date had been eliminated.
Aki marveled at how fair and long Rias’s thighs were. He decided he needed to cling to them even tighter from now on.
The crisis was over, but Aki still followed Koneko for training every day, heading to the clubroom whenever he had a spare moment. He wasn’t a member, but he might as well have been. This caused the many girls who were eyeing Aki to only stare from a distance, not daring to approach.
They couldn’t compete with Rias in terms of strength, and they couldn’t match her in looks or figure either. They felt inferior and resentful at the same time. The most resentful ones were Hamazaki Reina’s trio and Sakuratai Fuyuko.
Reina and her friends had got a taste for it and couldn’t accept other men now. They were practically burning up with desire. But Aki was always perfunctory with them, nowhere near as enthusiastic as he used to be.
As for Sakuratai Fuyuko, she had been stood up for nearly two weeks and had turned into a total resentful woman. Every day she pined for Aki’s essence. As a succubus, she couldn’t even bring herself to seduce other men anymore.
During this time, Aki’s relationship with Rias and the others had progressed by leaps and bounds. It was at a critical juncture. The two broken talents Tsubaki had provided proved that quality was better than quantity. If he could successfully claim any one of them, he’d instantly level up three times over. Naturally, he didn’t have time to mess around with Reina and the others. Well, he just didn’t have the time.
Aki had been an ordinary person before, so investigating him was a breeze. If Rias wanted to, she could have traced his ancestry back three generations. As for his messy flings with other girls? She’d obviously known about that for a long time.
In a small forest, the usual spot for after-school fights, Aki was sent flying. Thud. He broke two trees before he finally came to a halt.
”Koneko… we agreed to use the same amount of strength, didn’t we?”
The white-haired loli turned her head away, her hands behind her back as she started whistling. Koneko looked up at the sky with an “it wasn’t me, I don’t know anything” expression.
”Fine, I’m done. This is boring,” Aki said. He curled his lip. The white-haired loli didn’t play fair. Whenever she saw she was losing, she’d just use brute force to create a miracle.
