Inside the Kendo Club, Aki stared at the receptionist in disbelief.
”What? Miyajima-senpai transferred out the day before yesterday?”
”Yes,” the receptionist replied with a heavy sigh. “Miyajima-senpai’s departure actually led to quite a few members quitting. The Captain had originally planned for her to take over the next Captain’s position next year. No one expected Miyajima-senpai to just… up and transfer.”
Aki had run through every possible scenario for hooking up with Miyajima Sakura. He’d prepared for provocations from the male members, mockery, or even some yellow-haired Punk² playing dirty tricks behind his back. He’d even planned what to do if Miyajima Sakura had already been broken and tried to reject him. He never imagined she would simply leave Kuoh Academy entirely.
With her gone, all his carefully laid plans had gone up in smoke.
”So… where exactly did Miyajima-senpai transfer to?” Aki asked.
The receptionist shook their head. “No idea. Miyajima-senpai’s decision was incredibly sudden. Even the Captain only got the notification from the Student Council yesterday.”
”You’re saying Miyajima-senpai didn’t even say goodbye to any of you?” Aki felt a twinge of inexplicable irritation.
”Yeah. It’s a real shame. We didn’t even get to see Miyajima-senpai one last time…”
Ignoring the receptionist’s rambling, Aki scanned the Kendo Club. He didn’t see anyone he recognized, nor anyone particularly suspicious, but the circumstances of Miyajima Sakura’s transfer felt bizarre. If the issue wasn’t here at the club… then it was either at her home or wherever she had moved to.
After humoring the Kendo Club receptionist for a few more minutes, Aki made his exit. If the people at the Kendo Club didn’t know her whereabouts, her classmates likely wouldn’t either. (Maybe the Student Council has a lead…)

Aki, who had been agonizing over the Miyajima situation, caught the boys’ excited whispering. They weren’t loud-most of these guys lacked the perverted trio’s suicidal confidence-but Aki’s Intermediate Demon Bloodline had cranked his senses to eleven. Even a whisper in the hallway sounded like a shout to him.

The more he thought about it, the more plausible it felt. He stood up abruptly and headed for the door.

”Man… lucky bastard gets out of class again,” the boy muttered with a mix of envy and spite. “I bet he heard what we said. ‘Not feeling well’ my ass.”
The other boys shared the sentiment but sighed in resignation. “Whatever. Not like we can pull that off. The guy actually is a walking hospital ward.”
Before his abilities had awakened-before Hamazaki Reina and her friends had jumped him-Aki’s physical health truly wasn’t great. He’d used it as a cover to dodge trouble, spending half his time lying in an infirmary bed. Over time, the sickly label stuck. Though he’d filled out and gained some muscle lately, he was still a far cry from looking like a tank.

”Come in.”
The moment that sultry, feminine voice drifted through the door, Aki knew the staff had changed. He was a regular in the infirmary and knew the previous nurse well-a woman in her forties who still had some charm and had even tried to flirt with him a few times. Back then, Aki was too busy trying to stay alive to care about an older woman, especially an average-looking one.
He hadn’t been back since his awakening, so he hadn’t given the old lady a chance to graze on young grass³. Now, she was gone, vanished just as suddenly as Miyajima Sakura. The fact that the replacement was still a woman at least lowered the odds of the school turning into some ‘Teacher x Student.avi’ video in the future, but the timing was too suspicious.
Aki took a deep breath, feigning a look of distress. To make it convincing, he gave his own thigh a sharp pinch, forcing a bead of cold sweat to his brow.
”Teacher… I feel… dizzy…”
Hasegawa Chisato turned around. “Is it just the dizziness, or are there other symptoms?”
Aki’s breath caught in his throat.
The new nurse was beautiful beyond words-gorgeous in a way that felt almost magnificent. Her figure was easily a match for Rias. Her white lab coat hung open, revealing a tight, forest-green knit dress underneath. The fabric was stretched taut over a high, heavy bust, cinched at a waist he could wrap his hands around, then flared out over the dangerous, rounded curves of her hips.
Beneath that was a black miniskirt that barely maintained her modesty, paired with lace-topped black stay-up stockings. The stockings dug ever so slightly into the snowy-white flesh of her thighs. Her legs were long, straight, and meaty.
Despite the overtly erotic outfit, she carried an air of refined dignity. As she walked, the lab coat billowed, giving her a regal presence. She had striking green eyes framed by red semi-rimless glasses, and beneath the frame on her left side sat a faint beauty mark.
