Chapter 41 Saint Alice, Part ①

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Alice looked up with serious eyes. “Onii-san, I have a request.”

Her gaze was steady, not playful or coy. It was clear this was no joke.

”In a nearby village, many people are suffering from illness. My healing power is meant for times like this. So, I’m going to help them.”

She didn’t hesitate, ready to risk her own safety for others. Such selflessness wasn’t something ordinary people could mimic. Yet, she didn’t rush out immediately. They were deep within a Dungeon [T/N: A dangerous, labyrinth-like structure filled with monsters and traps], and even if she left, the path to the village was fraught with peril. Understanding her limits, she focused on what she could do, sparing no effort. That resolve made her a true Saint, radiating selfless compassion and healing. Gratitude welled up for the Goddess who ensured Alice’s presence early on.

”Hmm… should I come with you?” he asked. Alice’s recklessness made him uneasy about letting her go alone. Plus, he was eager to test a new skill he’d acquired.

”You’ll come with me?” Alice’s face lit up with a joyful smile.

 ”Yeah, but with a condition.”

”A condition…?” Her expression clouded instantly.

He pressed on. “The world doesn’t run on goodwill alone. If you want something, you’ve got to give something in return. Right?”

Alice fell silent. She could’ve argued back—she had the words for it. But she understood. Reality was as heavy and harsh as faith. Though she seemed carefree, almost naive, she grasped the way of things. Her belief in innate goodness, paired with her easygoing nature, shaped her innocent charm.

Finally, she gave a small nod. “…Okay. I’ll give up on new panties.”

Her voice trembled. To him, it was a mystery, but forgoing new panties must’ve been a huge sacrifice for her.

”You don’t have to give up panties. I’ll buy them for you.”

 ”Really?”

”Yeah. In exchange, let’s have some fun.”

He stated it bluntly. He’d managed to charm her once before, taking her virginity, but she understood what happened. Since then, getting to the main act had been tricky. Forcing her was an option, but that would sour her mood, and she’d fight back in her own way. Thanks to the Goddess’s blessing [T/N: A divine protection granting special abilities], even when he’d bound her limbs, blindfolded her, and gagged her, she’d struck his manhood with lightning right before he could proceed. The memory was fresh. Until Alice calmed down and healed him, he couldn’t even approach other girls. Three new pairs of panties had been enough to win her over, though—talk about easy.

More than that, he wanted Alice by his side. Her abilities were essential, and he genuinely liked her. He aimed to fulfill her wishes as much as possible, but that didn’t mean giving up on intimacy. Her honesty made her easy to persuade, though he’d never been this direct before.

”Ugh, doing naughty things to a girl is wrong!” she protested.

”It’s fine if we both agree, right?”

 ”Well… I guess so…” Alice’s face showed hesitation.

”I want to be with you, Alice. You want to accept my request to help those people. Anything wrong with that?”

”Umm… it’s not wrong… maybe? But it feels like you’re tricking me!”

 ”It’s fine, don’t worry.”

He scooped up a reluctant Alice and laid her on the bed.

”Onii-san… do you like me?” she asked, lying there.

”Like you? I’m crazy about you. Can’t stop thinking about this.”

As he spoke, he peeled off her clothes one by one.

”Ugh… please be gentle,” Alice said, blushing and turning her face away.

Her top shifted slightly, revealing a hint of her delicate form as she flushed deeply. As usual, she wore light layers, her cheeks glowing under his gaze.

”Your skin’s so soft, Alice,” he said gently.

”D-don’t say that… it’s embarrassing…” she mumbled, turning her face away.

His hand brushed her shoulder, warm and careful, sending a tremble through her frame.

”Ah… ahh…” she breathed, her voice soft and shaky.

Her body seemed to spark at his touch, her breath catching. When his fingers traced her collarbone, she flinched, her eyes wide with shy surprise.

”Hya! T-that’s too much!” she squeaked, her face burning.

Her nervous reactions pulled him closer. As he held her gently, she squirmed, her hands fidgeting nervously.

”What’s wrong?” he asked, his tone teasing.

”Um… it feels… all warm…” she whispered, her blush deepening.

His hand settled on her waist, steady and warm, as her heart pounded beneath his touch.

”You’re quite the tease, Alice,” he said with a playful smile.

”N-no! It’s… your fault!” she huffed, pouting.

”Sure, blame me,” he chuckled softly.

He drew her closer, their bodies brushing together, warmth spreading between them. Alice looked up, her eyes nervous but trusting. He gave her a reassuring smile, holding her tightly as their breaths mingled.

”Ngh!” she gasped, clinging to his shirt as her body tensed.

”Feeling okay?” he asked, his voice gentle.

”It’s… a lot… but okay…” she murmured, her voice trembling.

”Just stay with me,” he said softly.

He held her closer, their closeness creating a quiet rhythm. Alice gripped his shirt tighter, her breaths uneven. Slowly, her tension melted, soft sighs slipping from her lips.

”Haa… ah…” she whispered, her voice sweet and shy.

Her warmth seemed to envelop him, a flush spreading through her. He tightened his embrace, their connection overwhelming yet tender.

”Yah… it’s too much…” she breathed, her voice quivering.

Alice’s body arched slightly, caught in the intensity of the moment. He stayed with her, their hearts beating as one until they both eased, breathless and content.

 ”Ha… ha…”

Exhausted, Alice leaned into him, her warmth comforting against his chest. He lay beside her, wrapping her in his arms, their breaths slowing together. They stayed like that, lost in quiet closeness.

”Onii-san… you tricked me, didn’t you?” she mumbled, her tone playful.

 ”No way,” he replied, grinning.

”Ugh… you’re such a liar. But… I’m still all warm…” she whispered, hiding her face.

Her shy words stirred his heart. Unable to resist, he tilted her chin and kissed her softly.

 ”Mmm… ha…”

Their lips met gently, warm and hesitant, their breaths intertwining. He pulled her closer, his hand resting lightly on her back, her body trembling faintly.

”An! Ngh!” she gasped, her voice barely audible.

”You’re too cute, Alice,” he teased.

”N-no! I’m not… hya!” she protested, her words dissolving into a shy giggle.

As their closeness deepened, her warmth seemed to spill over, her breaths quickening.

”Yah… it’s happening again…” she murmured, her voice soft.

He paused, brushing her hair gently, his eyes playful.

”Say it sweetly, and we’ll keep going,” he whispered.

He kissed her again, soft but lingering, their lips brushing with quiet warmth. Alice’s eyes widened, then softened, her shyness fading into a dreamy smile. She leaned into him, her breath warm against his cheek.

”Onii-san… more…” she whispered, her voice sweet and pleading.

He ruffled her hair, and she squinted happily.

”You’re so cute, Alice,” he said.

She looked away shyly but glanced back, then leaned close to whisper in his ear.

 ”…I like you, Onii-san.”

Her words broke his restraint. With a playful grin, he pulled her into a warm hug, their laughter blending as they lost themselves in the moment, her shy giggles echoing until they collapsed, breathless and happy.

”So, Alice, you’re like a little demon, huh?” he teased, holding her hand as they wandered through the forest.

”Ugh, that’s mean, Onii-san! I’m human, not some Little Devil!” Alice huffed, pretending to be cross.

But her face was all smiles.

”It’s been so long since I’ve been outside!” she chirped, her voice bright.

That’s exactly why I call you a little demon, he thought, grinning inwardly. He began seriously considering speeding up plans for a surface base. The Dungeon’s Residential Area [T/N: A safe zone within the Dungeon for living] had its limits.

Take the Harpies, for example. They were born to soar freely, and the Dungeon’s confines were stifling. Or the Ogres, who, despite their fierce looks, were farmers at heart. The Dungeon’s crop limitations didn’t suit them. A plan to develop a surface Residential Area had been in the works, but events like Alusia’s incident, an assault, and Flora Kingdom’s chaos had delayed it. Technically, Mercuria’s issue lingered, but Dungeon exploration was stalled, leaving some time to spare.

He pictured building a mansion near the Dungeon’s entrance, with a backyard facing a small church. Alice had once said she wanted to live in a church. When he shared the idea, her face lit up with a radiant smile—one that could make anyone grin just by seeing it.

 ”Oh, Alice,” he said.

 ”What’s up?”

”How much are you charging for healing?”

 ”Huh? Nothing!”

She stared at him like he was crazy. He felt the same about her.

”No, no, what are you saying?”

”What are you saying, Onii-san? People are struggling to get by. I can’t take anything from them.”

This is bad. She’s too naive, he thought.

”Listen, Alice. Like I said before, everything comes with a price. You get that, right?”

 ”I get it… but I can’t take from people who can’t pay.”

”That’s where you’re wrong,” he said, his tone firm.

”What’s wrong about it?” Alice stood her ground.

”Okay, let’s say I know you’re not wearing panties right now and offer you three pairs for free. How would that make you feel?”

”How do you know I’m not wearing any?!” she squeaked.

 ”That’s not the point.”

He’d given her over ten pairs already—where had they gone? While he puzzled over that, Alice answered thoughtfully.

”I’d think you’re kind for giving me panties.”

”That’s it? What if I said three pairs aren’t enough and gave you five more?”

”Umm, I’d be happy but… kinda uneasy.”

”Why? You need panties, right? So I gave you some. What’s the problem?”

”It’s… I’d be happy, but I’d feel itchy not being able to repay you.”

”Is that all? Then kiss me on the cheek as thanks.”

 ”That’s okay?”

”Yup. A kiss from a cute girl like you? Nothing better.”

”Okay…” Alice stretched up and pecked his cheek. “Hehe!”

 He smiled. “See?”

”Huh? See what?” She tilted her head, confused.

”When I gave you panties for free, you felt uneasy, right? That’s because it was one-sided. So I asked for a kiss as payment. That made you feel better, didn’t it? You had a reason to accept the panties.”

Alice thought for a moment, then nodded.

”But… but…” she mumbled, still resistant. She understood the logic but not the feeling.

”There’s more,” he continued. “Free help creates a debt.”

 ”A debt?”

”Yeah. You heal for free, and that’s great. But some villagers might think, ‘This is too good to be true. She’ll demand something huge later.’”

 ”I’d never do that!”

”I know, but strangers don’t. They’ll carry that worry. Every time you heal for free, you’re adding to their unease.”

 ”That’s not what I want…”

”It doesn’t matter what you intend. It’s their problem.”

”Ugh… what should I do?” Alice’s eyes teared up.

So cute, he thought, pulling her into a gentle hug. “Ask for a fair price they can afford.”

”Really? Will that make them happy?”

”Yup. You keep healing, and I’ll handle the payment stuff.”

”Onii-san… I’m so grateful. How do I show it?”

 ”Well, maybe we could—”

”No naughty stuff!” she cut him off.

 ”No naughty stuff?”

 ”Nope!”

”Fine, I’ll save it as a debt.”

 ”No debts either!”

Their banter carried them to the village in no time.
